Got to know this magnificent area through our daughter and decided to have a second home here.
Guests typically find the home suitable for stays for just plain relaxation, enjoying the magnificent view and area and taking advantage of the numerous recreational, cultural and dining facilities in this five college area. It is a great place to stay if attending a graduation, picking up or delivering your student to the five college area. Often weddings are held nearby so family members stay to either prepare for the wedding or to attend the wedding. In addition many visit family members or are planning family reunions in the area and chose to stay at our welcoming home.
Modest, but complete accommodations. Found all that needed to make stay comfortable. Gorgeous view.
My daughter and I stayed at this family home for her graduation week-end. The house was clean and amply provided for with linens, seating, beds, bathrooms and kitchen items to make my daughter and I, and several family members and close kin who visited us for meals through out the week-end, very comfortable. The home is simple and spare, but comfortable. For those wanting a host who is very helpful but who also grants privacy and allows guests to have a sense of independence in taking care of themselves, this is the perfect rental. For those who love nature, walks in the country, a quiet location and a view that is all embracing, including stars at night and hills and meadows - this is your place! A lovely stay, attentive hosts if any needs arose and a great location. Thank you!
We celebrated our daughter's graduation from Smith with family and friends in this spacious and gracious home. Great light from high windows and ceilings, cozy rooms, and a deck and yard for relaxing and lawn games. The gardens were just beginning to bloom. Charming, charming, charming. Just remote enough and yet convenient to great restaurants and Northampton. The owners have thoughtfully provided every amenity.
We had the best time celebrating a family birthday in this unique home. The minute we walked in the door for our three night stay, we felt very comfortable. The home has such a warm feeling. The common areas are cozy and yet spacious with cathedral ceilings in the living room areas and a large picture window in the dining room. The patio, decks (one for each bedroom), back yard, and views of Mount Toby are better in person than the website photos. All the amenities listed on the website are there for your enjoyment. Stanley helped us with directions and provided good tips about the local area, where we hiked and shopped. We look forward to another stay at this lovely Montague home.
We spent a wonderful week in this unique home in Montague preparing for our daughter's wedding. This is a very special house that makes visitors feel welcome the moment they arrive. We woke each morning to incredible views of Mt. Toby and fell asleep watching the stars. The deck is situated within a beautifully landscaped private yard with lovely gardens. The home is within walking distance of the Montague Book Mill--a wonderful early morning breakfast and coffee haven. Turners Falls, Greenfield and Amherst are just minutes away and offer terrific opportunities for great walks and coffee, too. We will return!
Huge amount of entertainment and restaurant opportunities since located in the Five College Area. And area towns of Amherst, Greenfield and Northampton.
