North Georgia Mountains Recreational Vehicle Rental Photos and Description

1 bed, 1 ba, sleeps 3

The Georgia mountain Coosawattee resort is located in Gilmer County just over 75 miles north of Atlanta in the Blue Ridge Mountains and at the foothills of the legendary Appalachian Mountain Range. The resort is a 5,500 + acre development consisting of more than 7,000 individual, privately owned lots divided by seven miles of the beautiful Coosawattee River. The Coosawattee is formed where the Ellijay and Cartecay river meet and then travels for six or seven miles where it becomes Carter's Lake, a gorgeous recreational lake formed by the Corps of Engineers. You can walk to the river and Riverside pool from the camper lot.

The resort is expansive with approximately 160 miles of roads, six river parks, The Water Tower Conference Center, The Recreation Center and The Campsite is Just outside the Eagle Mountain gates, The General Store features a deli style menu as well as tubing and Pickin' on the Porch during the warm seasons.

Included with this rental are resort amenities ranging from The Recreation Center with its year-round heated indoor pool, sunning decks, fitness facility, miniature golf, game room, snack bar, year-round swimming, tennis courts, and more to the six river parks with a fully stocked fishing pond, camp sites, horseshoe pits, basketball courts, playgrounds, and more. The Riverside Pool is a family favorite with an outdoor swimming pool, snacks & games, picnic tables, and the Indian Fishtrap Suspension Bridge. The Foxhound Pool is a quiet spot surrounded by the peace and tranquility of nature. A dog park is available in the resort as well as Wi-Fi Hot Spots and The Coosawattee Library.

Come see us here at the cozy Camper for your unique glamping experience.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed three nights and wish we would have booked a week!! Highly recomend this camper. I have to say I was a little nervous as to what to expect but our fears were put to rest once we got there. The Camper is in great shape - super clean - very cozy and in the best location. It was better than the description given. The club house is right there full of amenities - gym - pool - jacuzzi - as well as all the trails located right there in Coosawattie. We had planned all these hikes but ended not going outside the Coosawattie - didn't need to!! Great for a romantic stay or fun with friends. The owners are nice and easy to deal with - no hassels. We will definitely come back but for longer time! So relaxing!!!

Decent little camper.

My wife, son, cockerel spaniel, and I stayed the night here to get a break in our drive to Florida, and we were glad we did. We didn't have time to use much, but the camper was well stocked. A few light bulbs were burned out and it was obvious there were a few small projects being done to spruce up the camper, but they didn't bother us. A card was left to give us access to the private rec room and pools, which were great. We hope to return for a longer stay...we really want to float the river.

A perfect getaway!

We were very pleased with our experience at the camper! It was very well stocked and very clean! We were surprised to see the bicycles and dog leashes that were provided as well! The owner has a very good supply of movies that we used and enjoyed while we were there! We used the indoor pool and it was great! Very clean locker rooms! We will definitely plan on returning! We highly recommend this camper. It is perfect for a couple getaway!

We wish we were still there!

We stayed at the Cozy Camper four nights which is not long enough! We relaxed so easily and found it hard to go back to our normal lives today. It was clean, had everything in it that was promised plus a couple things I forgot, it was way roomier than we expected for two plus size adults. It is in a gated community but was surprisingly quiet, especially at night. We had camp fires from sundown until bedtime every night and it seems like after dinner, everyone just goes in. It is NOT in an area that is camper after camper. Kim's property is on a little hill, so you can see other campers in the distance but they are not right next door. The welcome sign with our names on it (including our dog's) was nice. So was the basket of s'more fixin's. All the furniture was comfy and the kitchen was easy to use. I didn't need for anything. When I'm done writing this, I'm checking availability for our next visit. Thanks ladies!!!!

amazing!!!

We stay six days in ellijay and had a blast. I fell in love with this camper the moment I saw it. The camper is super clean and very cozy. It is also very quiet. Its close to walmart shopping center and a lot of places to eat. I found all the notes the owner leaves for you to be really helpful. We used the rec center, pools and rode bikes. We also enjoyed the cute little general store. I couldnt have asked for a better trip!!! I cried when I had to leave. We will be back!!! We miss it already!!!

Cozy Camper

  • 5 of 5

What a great place! I never expected to get all the extra things that came with this rental i.e. bicycles, gym, indoor and outdoor pools, hiking, fishing, river tubing. This place is awesome! I even brought my pet. The campground is beautifully nestled in the woods with deer everywhere! I will definitely be back again and again.
