About NETTA COLEMAN
I grew up in the northeastern part of NM and had the opportunity to live/work on several different big ranches in the area where one learns that there is never a stranger at your doorstep. There is always plenty of coffee and grub for anyone that may show up. I am a lab tech at a local hospital and my husband is a commercial electrician that travels lots with his job. We have several long term rental homes and all of a sudden the Golden years started to creep up on us so we decided to use our home as a vacation rental which is way too large for the two of us, to help pay off things since those sneaky Golden Years are obviously not going to go away.
NETTA COLEMAN purchased this House in 2004
Why NETTA COLEMAN chose Ruidoso Downs
If you want unique and comfortable (no cookie cutter design) then this is the place for you. After much searching for a property when we moved to the area in 2002, we finally found this little piece of paradise. After coming from the flat country of NM, we wanted some flat so we wouldn't have to battle steep terrain constantly but yet also wanted trees and the mountain feel and look. We wanted something somewhat rural but yet close to town and that is exactly what we got. We never even knew this subdivision was here those 2 years since it is tucked down in a canyon next to the river. We love the climate here in Ruidoso and all the unique charm that it has to offer so we began to make it our new hometown and have not ever regretted the decision. We have put lots of little extras into the home and property and it will always be a work in progress probably because of the dang HGTV shows. So come enjoy all the little extras.
What makes this House unique
This house is so sprawling that it accommodates huge crowds easily. There is plenty of separate areas that groups or individuals can retreat to for a quieter atmosphere if they wish. It seems as though there is plenty of space for all without the cramped, crowded feeling. We liked the fact of 1.5 acres on the river in a quiet neighborhood and several groups have enjoyed fishing out of the river with some success. Tripod and Grover, the dwarf Nigerian goats love attention from anyone who will give it to them. Kids seem to really enjoy interacting with them.

We were in Ruidoso for my son’s wedding, and had a large group, so since the wedding and reception were at the track, I thought this would be the perfect location, and I was right! The rehearsal dinner was at the house, so we had quite a few guests and plenty of space for all. Netta and Ron were so attentive to everything we would need. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and for making our stay so much fun!
You have an amazing property. The children loved spending the days outside in the green grass, playing and feeding the goats, chickens, dog and seeing the horses. The view was amazing. The cabin is completely stocked with everything needed and it so so beautiful and comfortable. The back patio and the stream right behind it is one of the best parts. Cabin has a hot tub which we did not used due to the enjoyment of the outdoors. It was nice weather the whole weekend we were there and preferred to of stayed out than inside most of the time. We definitely look forward to coming back soon. Your hospitality was very well appreciated.
We had the best time in this cabin! We had three families staying together and there was plenty of room. Nicely updated and the yard was perfect for our kids to play. The back patio was our favorite part though. Sitting back there listening to the stream - it was perfect! We would definitely stay here again!
It is so great to hear guest got some family and friend time in at Racetrack Rendezvous. The yard and deck are a few of our favorite spots also. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and truly appreciate the nice review.

its facilities are comfortable and well equipped.
it really looks like you're in a movie ranch so it's there and around the cabin
We went in Easter and had a great time.
Thank you Guadalupe for your nice review. It really does look like a home seen in a ranch movie. I grew up on ranches so it is a décor that I am passionate about. It offers good old ranch folk hospitality. We thank you, Ron and Netta
It is a wonderful location near the racetrack. The river and outdoor living space is amazing! There is a ton of space for a large family! We already asked about availability for a future stay.
