3 Bedroom, 2 Story Cabin With Mountain/ski Resort Views From Hot Tub
About Mike Rotman
Born on the east coast now living in California- I missed the quiet calm of a snow storm. I work with dog and cat rescues and am also a comedy writer who needed a break now and then and a place to come up and think and take my dog Ulfie for long walks in the fresh air (Despite his little corgi legs)
Mike Rotman purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Mike Rotman chose Moonridge
I always dreamed of a get away cabin, a place I can go and write and relax. After saving my money for a long time and searching for over a year- I finally found the perfect place, Milo Bear Cabin in Lower Moonridge. I love this area as it's not houses on top of each other with chain link fences. This is much more quiet and a good mixture of full and part time residents. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
What makes this Cabin unique
The cozy authenticates of a log cabin with modern amenities. I can feel like I'm a pioneer while still logging in to check my Facebook posts. :) Gorgeous views: Snow Summit from the huge elevated private deck. Bear Mountain and Snow Summit from the living room and master bedroom. Snow Summit from the 2nd bedroom.

Nice, Cozy and Clean
The house was great! Worked perfectly for our family of six. Great views off the deck and a nice fenced in yard for the kids to play. Would definitely stay there again.
Cute, Private & Clean Cabin Near Ski Mountains
Family of 5 stayed in this great cabin. 5 mins to Bear Mountain and close to the Village & Snow Summit Mtn. Yes only 1 bathroom (newly upgraded) but it worked out fine for us. The cabin is very private and cozy. Pet & kids friendly. We enjoyed the nightly jacuzzi overlooking the ski mountains. The cabin had mostly everything we needed in the kitchen to cook, extra blankets in the bedrooms, lots of towels, washer/dryer, and board games. The registration, check-in & check-out was professional & easy. We would definitely stay in the cabin again.
Great cozy spot.
Fun cozy cabin, spent a weekend away from the city and it was wonderful.
Great place to stay in Big Bear!
Milo Cabin was a great spot! The cabin was easy to find and plenty of room to park. It was very clean and comfortable inside. The kitchen was well stocked so we had no problems cooking. Great views off of the deck. The lower fenced area was great for the dogs. The only thing that was a bit odd was the master bedroom upstairs and the only bathroom downstairs. But it really wasn’t a problem for us. Mike was very responsive so communication was a breeze.
We would stay at Milo Cabin again!
Perfect for a getaway
My husband and I stayed here for July 4 and had a wonderful time. Perfectly located minutes away from the Summit and Village. Quiet, peaceful, and had beautiful views of the mountains! We watched the fireworks from the hot tub and could see them perfectly! Cabin had everything we needed cooking wise and the fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. I would stay here again!
Best Stay In Big Bear
This is my favorite place to stay in Big Bear. Cabin has beautiful sunset views and great location.
Milo Bear Cabin is located in Moonridge between Big Bear Mountain and Snow Summit ski resorts and just a mile from the Alpine (rescue) Zoo and the beautiful Big Bear golf course. When not taking in the majestic pine trees, ski mountain views and sunsets from our spa deck there are activities for everyone within a 5 min car ride.
For those of you who like adventure, you can soar faster than birds while zip lining over the valleys and mountains of Big Bear. Or maybe you want to explore the ridges, canyons, meadows, streams & rivers of the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains while visit historic community & gold rush sites all from the comfort of an off road jeep.
If biking is your thing, Big Bear has dozens of Bike paths with all levels of difficulty. Snow Summit is now So Cal’s only lift served Bike Park! Put your bike on a ski lift and go all the way to the top and then ride down one of 3 different bike trails. For a more leisurely pace, there is a great flat bike path by the Discovery Center that goes around the scenic lake.
And don’t forget about your dog! The forests surrounding Big Bear Lake offer trails for hikers and walkers at all skill levels. For the adventurous, high peaks offer 360 degree panoramas. Snow Summit's Sky Chair can easily take you to the top so you can hike down while enjoying spectacular scenic vistas that include superb views of Big Bear Lake and deep forests. Or just walk around our neighborhood and see all the beautiful surrounding cabins, chalets and 100 foot pine trees.
For water sports, with 3 Marinas all minutes away, Big Bear has it all. From water skiing to para sailing and wake board parks to just hanging out on a pontoon with friends, the 6.5 mile Big Bear Lake has something for everyone.
And if you love shopping Big Bear village is 7 minutes away, a straight shot down moonridge to Big Bear Blvd. The Village offers a wide array of boutiques, bars, restaurants, antique stores, ice cream and candy shops and even a first run movie theater.
And if you ever want to grab a quick bite before taking this all in there is a great deli and rustic coffee and pastry shop less than a ½ mile walking distance away.
