I grew up in Atrani where I met my husband.
Enza Pagano purchased this apartment in 1903
Our property has been passed down through generations.
Sleep and in the middle of the night to hear the sound of the waves is absolutely wonderful.
“Just wanted to say we had a marvellous time in Atrani and the owners were charming.” by Richard O'Sullivan - Cricket Coach and his family from London, September 2006. 'We have now returned from Italy and would like to thank you and your lovely parents for assisting us with our holiday. The apartment is well situated for the beach and everything was in good order. We enjoyed the festival of St Andreas in Amlfi and visited Pompei and Revello. So thanks and good luck with your summer bookings.' S. & A. from London. 'Thats Atrani apartment is wonderfully situated very close to Atrani shops, restaurants and the beach. We found the local people very friendly and helpful. Amalfi (and Ravello) can be reached by walking through a picturesque series of winding passages passing houses carved into the cliffs. The views of the beautiful Amalfi coastline from the highest points of the walk are stunning. The apartment was comfortable and remained cool.' S. from London
The apartment was perfect for our party of 3 (my wife and I plus 16 year old son). It was beautifully prepared and very well equipped. The owners' parents were delightful and very friendly - I do so wish I could speak Italian as I would have had so many questions to ask them about the area.
Amalfi really is only 10 minutes away on foot - and is a wonderful town as any guide book will tell you. Atrani is also delightful. We were feeling energetic and walked (hundreds of steps !) up to Ravello. Do bear in mind that you can't walk very far without going up and down hills and/or steps.
We were there in mid April and had some fairly hot days - I'm sure Amalfi is far busier in the height of summer.
If you rent a car DO be aware of the very windy coastal road which you have to take for 20-30 minutes to arrive at Atrani. It can be quite nerve wracking !
Despite comments about the coastal road, both Pompeii and Herculaneum are within easy reach.
All in all, highly recommended !
This little flat was great! It was very close to the beach and also to the town square. Living amongst the locals here with their chatter and smells of italian fare. Maria was an excellent hostess, she gave 110%. The only thing I hoped was different was the smell of mildew even though it was spotlessly clean. Most likely because of it being an ancient building and close to the water.
Very nice apartment, located next to the beach and the piazza. My wife and I loved our stay here. The food was good, short walk to Amalfi and the people of Atrani are fantastic. Truly a beautiful place to stay and Theresa the owner was very sweet and a pleasure to meet. We highly recommend this apartment if you are visiting the Amalfi coast and we wish everyone we met in Atrani the best.

My husband and I stayed in this delightful apartment for 5 glorious nights. "That's Atrani" was absolutely perfect for us - all the way around! From the moment we started inquiring about the property, owner Enza was extremely helpful and responsive (and timely!). After a very long day of travel, we arrived Atrani and were met by Enza's mother and father -- who showed us to the apartment and made us feel extremely welcome! They went above and beyond and brought us delicious coffee/breakfast on our last day. "That's Atrani" is THE perfect place in THE perfect town! It has incredible views from the kitchen and bedroom, it's only a few steps from the beach and main square, and it's extremely quiet at night (best night's sleep EVER)! If we could give this place 10 stars, we would (but it only goes up to 5 ;). We HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone visiting Atrani, it's well worth it and then some. THANK YOU, Enza and parents, for everything you did to make our stay memorable!
Very pleasantly surprised by this cute apartment in Atrani! We wanted a place that was close to a beach, in a village where we could interact with the local citizens. This apartment was just right - clean, bright, & fresh; well stocked with kitchen supplies, fit the 4 of us marvelously, gorgeous view of the Mediterranean, and just a few steps to restaurants and the beach! And Atrani is close enough to Amalfi that we could walk there to shop and people watch in the square. Teresa took good care of us from the moment we stepped off the bus to bringing us espresso the morning we left. We would definitely recommend "That's Atrani" to anyone wanting to stay on the Amalfi coast!
Right from the day we requested to book the property, Enza had been wonderfully helpful. The communication was immediate and all questions answered promptly. Enza helped us book the taxi to and fro the airport with a very good price.
Enza's mum Teresa was waiting for us outside the property when we arrived. Although Teresa speaks very little English, she was most helpful. On the day we left (7am!) she came with a tray of coffee to see us off. How sweet!
Amalfi is within easy walking distance and the bus stop is literally outside the property, well, 17 steps away and it is nothing in this region!
The property has everything we needed although, not one day we ate in so maybe we are not in the best position to commend on the kitchen equipment. The property was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable.
There are many restaurants to choose from both in Atrani and Amalfi. Only if I could manage 4 scoops of Gelato and 3 full meals a day!
One advice for those who want to rent this property is, if you are a Cinderella like us who cannot last beyond midnight and a light sleeper, take your ear plugs with you because there is a restaurant right beneath the property and it can get a little noisy especially at weekends. No music, just the noise of people talking. Having said that, it didn't bother my travelling companions at all.
I highly recommend this property!
Thank you Enza and Teresa. We had a wonderful time and hope we will visit Atrani again soon.
Atrani is a medieval village close to Amalfi which is a 4 minutes stroll along the corniche overlooking the sea. In times gone by Atrani was the residence of the aristocratic families of Amalfi and home of the Republic of Amalfi's nobility. The secret of this little town lies in its characteristic Piazza Umberto I, rendez-vous for people of different cultures that have chosen the Amalfi Coast for a relaxing and pleasant holiday. The stone-paved paths between Atrani's houses ascend from the Piazza towards Monte Aureo and Monte Civita where the village was built and carve themselves a niche among the two rocky hills, the Dragone river and its quiet beach; much to be preferred to that of overcrowded Amalfi. Atrani is located in the heart of Amalfi Coast: 4 minutes walk from Amalfi, 20 minutes by bus from Ravello, 40 minutes from Positano, one hour and half from Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum and 2 hours from Naples.
In Atrani there are five restaurants where you can enjoy being served fresh fish directly from the sea to the dining table. The menu of exquisite gourmet which are available from each restaurant include: mussels au gratin, fish au gratin, seafood Scialatielli (fat spaghetti), S. Andrea style spaghetti, penne pasta with crab meat, Sorrentina style gnocchi, fish soup, 'Crazy Water' style fish, assorted grilled fish, Scialatielli (fat spaghetti) with clams and zucchini, reef paccheri (shellfish pasta), 'Baracca' style ravioli, assorted fried fish, seafood appetizers, fish baked in salt crust and tenderloin filet with green peppercorns.
Other Activities: trekking from Atrani to Ravello and Amalfi following old paths used before the streets were built. Boat rental facilities can be found nearby.
