This executive 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom waterfront home meets all of your needs
About Debbie Godfrey
I was born and raised on Prince Edward Island. I presently live in Ontario but visit P.E.I. every summer and stay in a third cottage we own in Seawood Estates. My sister Carol, who lives on the island, manages our two rental cottages while I travel back and forth. All of my family live on P.E.I. and when you visit this beautiful island you will understand why they never wanted to leave! We personally take care of the property ourselves and are available for any of your needs during your stay.
Debbie Godfrey purchased this House in 2011
Why Debbie Godfrey chose Stanley Bridge
I bought this cottage because of it's tranquil waterfront location. The peninsula of Seawood estates is shaped like a horse shoe and projects about one mile into New London Bay. Convenient footpaths provide easy access to the waterfront and two miles of shoreline around the peninsula. The sunsets in this area are spectacular and the view of the sand dunes of the National park to the North is breathtaking. I had to own a little piece of this paradise!
What makes this House unique
I fell in love with this home because of the peace I felt sitting on one of it's three decks. It is next to a meadow with trees and when I take in the view of that tranquil lot and the water of the Hope River from all of the living spaces within the home, I was sold! We renovated the home in 2012 and added new windows to capture that view.

Excellent home for a family vacation
Island Solitude amenities matched the write up on Home Away and our family enjoyed our stay there.
Fantastic property for a large family
We had a great time at this property which had all the necessary and listed amenities. In particular the location is ideal And the there is a lot of space for a large group. The property was clean and the owners very attentive and organized. We made use of the BBQ, firepit and access to bay for kayaking. It was a short drive to beautiful beaches and amenities. The property is private although and access runs through the side yard for those bearded to the water. It was rarely used by anyone else.
Thank you for your review of our cottage. I am glad you liked the location and that it suited all your needs.
Great home in a great location.
Easy process. Debbie and Carol were prompt answering questions. Many extras ( bikes, beach toys, indoor games and FULL kitchen) made it easy for our multi generational get together. Worked well.
Thank you Bonnie for your kind review. It was such a pleasure to have you and your family stay.
We really enjoyed our stay! Close to everything, clean and comfy location and exploring the beach area was fantastic!
Thank you for your review Sarah. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay.
Fantastic location for family vacation
The summer home is beautiful. When we arrived it was absolutely spotless with everything that we needed. The upstairs is spacious and newly renovated. It is well equipped with quality furniture, beds, linens, and great water pressure for a shower 'just like home'.
While the downstairs is more dated, it is a fantastic space to have for a family (or multiple family) rental; we were all able to have our space when needed and keep entertained in different ways. The waterfront is beautiful, with a sandy/rocky shoreline with lots to discover. The views from the house and balcony were beautiful, especially as the light reflected off the red sand cliffs across the water at sunset. The house is set on a private, residential dirt road, with very infrequent and slow traffic. It is 5 minutes to Cavendish, and so close to other things in all directions; craft shops, restaurants, beaches... Thank you for a fantastic vacation.
Awesome house! Close to everything!
We enjoyed our stay, lots of room, all the amenities. One thing would’ve been nice to have kayaks and paddles! 1/2 hour drive to pretty much wherever we wanted to go! Enjoyed walking around Seawood Estates. Close to Stanley Bridge hall and enjoyed a Ceilidh!
Thank you for your review. It would be nice to get some kayaks and paddles and we may have them next time you come! We have been looking! In the meantime, there is a kayak rental place within a 5 minute drive of the cottage. They also have paddle boards and seadoo's for rental. You are welcome back anytime Heather.
Island Solitude is in Seawood Estates (seawoodestates.ca), a private community located on the North Shore of P.E.I. adjacent to the world famous Cavendish National Park and Anne of Green Gables. This picturesque property is situated on the waterfront of the east side of a peninsula of about 140 acres with two miles of shore around it. Enjoy 4 well renowned golf courses within a 10 minute drive, restaurants offering lobster suppers, seafood and homemade bakeries, and plenty of activities in Cavendish for young and old. Being 30 minutes from Charlottetown or Summerside provides an excellent starting point to tour the island.
