Hawaiian Style Nice Custom 2 bd/1ba on the World Famous Kona Coffee Belt. Beautiful Tropical surroundings with coffee, avo, papaya, banana etc trees and flowers. Perfect Lanai to watch the Awesome Sunsets over the Ocean. Kealakekua is in the Kona District on the Big Island. It is just South of Kailua-Kona (Ironman start and finish area) and North of Kealakekua Bay (One of the best snorkeling spots in the World!!!) This Home is away from all the tourist traps yet only 8-10 miles away from the heart of Kailua-Kona with all it's shops and activity booths. There is a local Hawaiian town a few blocks away. The homes sits at a little cooler elevation which is very desirable.:) Pictures are all on property and will give you a good idea of what to expect but please feel free to ask me questions and tell me what you are looking for. I did not post pictures of nearby beaches and other Big Island areas that are not on this property. Home comes with plenty of beach towels, beach umbrella, chair, coolers and even a couple kayaks under the house you are welcome to dust off and use at no extra cost. This has been my family home for many years looking for travelers that will enjoy it and treat it with Aloha :) It's a Fantastic property! Know you will love it!!! Rates are low I wanted to make it affordable for couples and based on a two person occupancy there will be a $20 a day charge per additional guest. 808 937-7439 If you look at My first review (last one down)they describe it perfectly and gives more info so check that out if you want more info :) This is NOT a party house at times owner or friend of owner could be staying in downstairs Ohana. There is NOT a communal kitchen or anything like that. You have your own private 2bd home upstairs with lanai and entrance and yard. Your privacy is always respected :) but I can be reached easily by phone or will have a local contact person when I am off island. There are frogs on property that you will probably never see abut Will hear at night :) There are wild chickens that cruise through the property from time to time and have had roosters on occasion, This home is known as a very peaceful place to stay I just like to try to tell you anything someone may consider as a negative so there are no surprises and you have an Awesome stay:) There is a Queen size bed in the master bedroom and a double in the smaller bedroom. NON smoking on Entire Property. Think this covers it please just ask if you have more questions and I will be happy to answer them :) Mahalo

Why Carole Ward chose Kona Coast

Awesome property! it's why I have called it home for so long :)

It's tropical you know you are in Hawaii it's cooler than town and away from all the traffic noise but close enough that its not a mission to go to town and back. Kealakekua is considered a very desirable area to live on the Big Island it is hard to find a place to buy because people move here and don't leave. The high school is filled with children who have parents that went there as children. To me it was the perfect place to raise my children and a place they want to return to when they are ready to settle down and start their own families:)

Excellent Property!

We did quite a bit of research before choosing Carole's home and we are glad we did. The property is maintained with love and care, with all the amenities you need. All you need to bring is a bathing suit and a tropical drink and let the relaxation begin. There are fruit trees on the property and we ate fresh bananas and coconut all week! The beds are comfortable, the two head shower is great and the sunsets off the deck are superb!

The descriptions in each of the reviews and the pictures are accurate and correctly describe what to expect and Carole was very friendly and easy to work with.

If we return to the Big Island, this is where we want to stay!

Great house, great view, great stay

We really enjoyed this house. It is close enough to the tourist attractions, if you want that, yet far enough away to not get stuck with all of the other tourists :)

I almost hate to give this place a glowing review, in fear that someone will have it booked when We want to return. However, this is a wonderful house, with all of the amenities. I cannot find enough superlatives to describe it.

I would recommend a small car, if you plan on parking in the carport. Or, you can add to the abstract art that is growing on the rock wall (we added a touch of our own).

Cool nights and beautiful days

We stayed in Carole's for ten days and it was such a treat. We have been to Kona several times and we know a little about the area. The house is isolated from the street so that you feel like you are alone in the country. No need to worry about salt, pepper, or any other basics in the kitchen, they are already there. The shower is great and the whole house is clean, clean and clean. The porch area is a great way to dine and relax. Carole had warned us about the coqui frogs and roosters early in the morning, but we slept good and the frogs are nothing like the Hilo side. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us.

Perfect Work Retreat

Read the reviews prior to this. They provide a great description of the property. The owner, Carole, is very easy to work with and responds promptly to any inquiries. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have what you need for your stay. Just know that this isn't merely a property that Carole rents out, but her home. Treat it as you would being a guest in someone's home If staying long-term maid services are available.

My husband and I enjoyed this house so much. Everything about it was cute. The wrap around lani was where we spent most of our time, lounging in the hammok, watching the sunset, playing cards and listening to the frogs. It's in a very quiet neighborhood. The house was well stocked with anything you would need.

As others have written, Carole's home is beautiful and welcoming; it's obvious this has been a comfortable and well-loved dwelling. The house is in a residential neighbourhood South of Kona/Kailua and is a sweet place where one can escape the tourist buzz. There were ample sheets/towels/supplies/kitchen utensils, etc., with nice indoor and outdoor (lanai and yard) spaces in which to relax. Since she was off-island while I was there, Carole and I never met in person but arrangements were all smooth and communication was very cordial. The Big Island is a BIG island so exploration requires a good bit of driving and I found this home well-situated for forays in all directions. One thing to note: there are shoreline accesses within a 20-25 minute drive from the house but the nicest big white sand beaches are a good hour's drive North. Overall, if you want to be close to the Kona/Kailua area, I would recommend this lovely home. Many many thanks to Carole.
