The other room has a queen sized bed and an extra single which is great for a couple with a young one. There is a shared bathroom upstairs.

About Jacob Thompson

Have found adventure throughout my life - hopped freight trains across the country, lived in a treehouse 100 ft up in the redwoods during college, and pedaled a bicycle from Alaska to Argentina from 2006-2010. I currently work as a brand director for a company that makes high powered bike and scuba dive lights, but am dreaming of the next adventure.

Great location, kind hosts, nice hot tub

  • 5 of 5

We had an awesome stay. The house was spotless and the location was perfect for skiing at northstar. The kids had fun playing with the snow in the backyard and we all enjoyed watching the full moon from the hot tub. We'd definitely stay again.

Almost ideal

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was cozy and clean, and the hot tub was great, and got really hot! The beds were all comfortable and it was well supplied. Everything worked and when we had a question about the fireplace the owners were very responsive. I would definitely go there again.

One big problem however was that there was no overhead light in the living room. It was lit only by two dim lamps. We wanted to read by the fireplace at night and that was not possible because it was too dark. An overhead lamp or one or two standing halogen lamps would make the place ideal!

Perfect getaway house in Tahoe, fully stocked, all the amenities, we will be back!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great weekend staying here. We went with our neighbors, their 2 year old, and our dogs. Everyone had a great time. Snow had been pretty heavy, but we were able to make a pathway to the hot tub, which was the hit of the weekend. We cooked all of our meals there and we were all surprised how well stocked the kitchen was for a rental. Not just the kitchen but they had everything. There were plenty of hot tub towels and they were clearly labeled in the laundry room, tons of games, apple tv, great fireplace. The rooms were basic but I knew that going in as I think the description and pictures of the place were very accurate. There were no surprises, which was great. Very comfortable for the four adults and one child, plenty of seating around the fireplace, and one bedroom even went unused. We will definitely be back to take advantage of the great backyard when it's not covered in snow! Thanks Jacob!
