Welcome to the Enchanted Bear Log Cabin - the perfect place to experience Lake Tahoe. Conveniently located in Kings Beach, which sets you within ten minutes of everything that Tahoe has to offer for an easy and memorable vacation.

Charming log cabin built in the late 50’s with spacious decks in the front and back for entertaining friends/family - and a large fenced yard for well-behaved pets. Soak in the 7 person hot tub after a day on the slopes of Northstar or enjoying the beaches of Lake Tahoe. Relax in the 2 person infrared sauna and soothe aching muscles. Not merely a vacation rental, but a cozy home away from home.

Living room has a new 37” Flat Screen with an Apple TV and hi-speed WiFi access. Comfortable couches for everybody to relax and a gas fireplace offers the ambience with just the push of a button Dining room offers a large picnic style table for enjoying big meals as a group - with huge windows out to the backyard to let in plenty of light.

One bedroom downstairs with a new pillow top queen mattress and a bathroom across the hall. Upstairs has two more bedrooms - a larger room with two twin size beds, a professional level foosball table, a 32” TV with a Playstation 2 and tons of games. Great space for the kids to hang out. The other room has a queen sized bed and an extra single which is great for a couple with a young one. There is a shared bathroom upstairs.

Enjoy your morning coffee/tea on the sun-soaked front deck with classic log benches and watch the squirrels and chipmunks wandering around. Spend your evening playing darts on the back deck as you grill dinner or soak in the hot tub. The Enchanted Bear Log Cabin provides simple, practical accommodations to get the most out of your Tahoe Vacation - and with the huge backyard, your dog doesn’t have to stay home.

Kings Beach is one of the coolest neighborhoods around and as convenient as it could be. A Safeway is just a few blocks away, restaurants, beaches, activities, parks with volleyball and grills right on the beach. Some people may be looking for a resort, but if you're looking for a HOME to stay in during your vacation - this is the spot.

About Jacob Thompson

Have found adventure throughout my life - hopped freight trains across the country, lived in a treehouse 100 ft up in the redwoods during college, and pedaled a bicycle from Alaska to Argentina from 2006-2010. I currently work as a brand director for a company that makes high powered bike and scuba dive lights, but am dreaming of the next adventure.

Awesome for a ski vacation

  • 5 of 5

My group had a great time, the cabin was comfortable and in a great location. We were a short drive from Northstar, and could quickly get to Safeway and Starbucks. Everything we needed in the cabin was easy to find and there were instructions for using all the amenities. Before and during the stay Jacob was easy to get in touch with and very helpful.

Very grateful for the opportunity to stay in Jacob's cabin.

We loved Jacob's home in the mountains. Cozy with any amenities that make life comfortable while visiting the North Shore. It is clean, updated with technology and has a wonderful hot tub and sauna. The owner communicates in a timely fashion. Great house for a ski or beach vacation!

Amazing cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our family trip!!! It came fully stocked with everything you might need. The huge fenced in back yard was perfect for our little ones to play in. The owner Jacob made everything easy and stress free. Bonus.... Sitting on the back porch, eating dinner and seeing a bear strolling down the street. We would definitely rent again!!

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We went up to Tahoe for a wedding and Jacob's cabin was the perfect place to stay for us! This was my first VRBO and Jacob was very nice, communicative and helpful. There was plenty of room for nine of us. We brought an extra blow-up mattress which made the sleeping arrangements more comfortable, but if you are traveling with children there would be absolutely no problem. The cabin is about 3 minutes from a Safeway which was VERY convenient. The hot tub was perfect at night after the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. We turned off the house lights and stared at the brilliant display of stars right from the patio/hut tub. Originally I didn't think that the sauna would be a focal point of the stay but it was a hit! It was used every day of our stay.

We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Jacob!

Wildlife Galore

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for a getaway. It is quiet and peaceful, and I enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching all of the wildlife coming and going in the yard. It is far enough away from main roads and businesses to promote a peaceful atmosphere, yet close enough to walk, bike or drive to great food, drink and activities.

The cabin is clean and well cared for. The beds were very comfortable. I personally judge a place of lodging by the sheets and towels, and they were good quality. I slept great. It has everything you will need, including a hair dryer. Lake Tahoe is breathtaking, and this cabin was a perfect place to enjoy it.

Perfect location for enjoying everything Tahoe has to offer. Beachside recreation areas are a few blocks away for a day of swimming, sunbathing, volleyball, paddle boarding, boating, in the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe. Northstar is less than ten minutes away for world class skiing/snowboarding. An expansive forested area is just two blocks away with serene trails winding through the massive pine trees and up to epic views of the lake - also great for mountain biking, snowshoeing, dirt bikes, and snowmobiling. Restaurants, grocery store, and shopping is a short walk through the neighborhood. Northshore casinos are 5 minutes away with tons of entertainment scheduled. Everything you’d want to do in Tahoe is less than ten minutes away.
