Jim Meadows and Joni Meadows are brother and sister who grew up in San Clemente, Ca. I moved to Maui in 1987 and the family came to visit a year later. While on vacation the family spent time in Hana and fell in love with it. Shortly after vacation our Mother Jackie as well as my brothers all moved to Maui. We bought property in Kihei as well as Hana. Mom lived out the rest of her life in Hana, and we got to enjoy the family property over the years. Now, Jim and I are managing the property and I live here in Hana full time. We are blessed to call this our home and look forward to sharing this wonderful part of Maui with many.
Joni Meadows/ Jim Meadows purchased this house in 1988
This was always our 'getaway' from the other side of the island, and to spend time with our Mom. A beautiful property with a stunning ocean view and the quiet serenity that Hana always has. A family home with a lot of love.
This property is know around town as the house with the bridge! It sits on a half acre full of tropical flowers, fruits, and singing birds. Across the street is the Hana ranch and we see cows grazing and pheasants nesting. A huge banyan tree across the street shades the driveway as you pull into the property.
We stayed at Hana Meadows for 2 nights when visiting the Hana Road. The property was very clean and had more than everything we needed. Also, the host Jim (and Joni) were amazing. Very kind people who love to talk about their lifestyle and history in Hana. We really wished we stayed more than 2 nights!! Would recommend to anyone. We were five and had way enough space for everyone. Thanks Jim for everything it was a pleasure to meet you! Also, make sure to bring your ping pong game with you when visiting Hana Meadows!
Came to stay a couple of days in Heavenly Hana with my family. We were greeted by Ha who treated us like family the entire time we were there. I wish we would have stayed longer so he could have taken us out for paddle boarding! The home was well-equipped with plenty of room for two adults and two small children. The view from the master bedroom was breathtaking to fall asleep to and wake up to every morning. The children loved the gardens, the views of the bay, the freshly picked bananas and papayas that Ha and Joan gave us, and especially the outdoor shower!! The house was centrally located with easy access to restaurants, beaches and Hana attractions. But most of all, we enjoyed the peace and serenity of the property and the hospitality and kindness provided by Ha an Joan. Hana is already one of my favorite places on the globe, but thank you so much for making the trip even more amazing by sharing your Aloha spirit, taking time to get to know us and our children, and sharing your stories with us!
The Heavenly Hana Tropical Oasis is a very nice large suite. The view from the room was beautiful and the bed and sheets were super comfy! We also loved the outdoor shower. There were friendly roosters to wake you up and normal neighborhood noises. Because your windows stay open to keep you cool it was difficult to sleep in. Many of the curtains are sheer which gives great light but also keeps you from walking around in your birthday suit.
The owners were very nice and helpful when needed but also allowed for privacy.
2 nights in Hana was perfect. It was a great landing base for lots of adventures. Be sure to stop for food on your way from the airport and plan to cook in the suite. Restaurants/food trucks close early and the stores are expensive.
We loved everything about our stay. The cottage was well stocked with everything you need. I highly recommend the Meadow's place to anyone going to Hana. We had 3 adults and 11 year old and we were very comfortable even though it only had one bathroom it was never a problem. We will definitely stay there gain in the near future.
Don't be like the rest and do Hana in one day. Stay in Hana! It's soooo much better. Hana Tropical Oasis is a perfect place to do just that. Great view of Hana Bay from the master bedroom. Kitchen to cook in (which is necessary when everything in Hana closes at 7pm). Joni was very nice and helpful and her boys (dogs) has no issues with our girls (dogs). If you don't like chickens or the occasional dog barking then please stay in your luxury hotel in Kihei or Lahaina this is not for you. If you like uncrowded beaches, waterfalls, morning dew, cool breezes and seclusion then this is the place. Aloha!
4 adults spent 2 nights in this clean, comfortable home while exploring the Hana area, and it was as advertised. The owners live upstairs and very accommodating but not intrusive. The Lanai and master bedroom were great. Unfortunately the queen bed in the second bedroom was not very comfortable for me, but it wasn't a deal breaker - we were out the door early both days and had a blast exploring the area, and enjoyed the accommodations overall. I'd recommend this place without hesitation.
