16 rooms, 18 bathrooms, 500 yards to lake
Tom and Betty moved from Florida to the foothills of the Smoky Mountains back in 1985. On this 35 acre "farm" various buildings were added as needed as churches asked to come and bring their youth and others on retreats. Their 3 sons were raised at the ranch and over the years many church groups and families have enjoyed the wholesome atmosphere at the ranch while taking advantage of the convenience of all the attractions of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky mountains located close by.
Why Betty chose Dandridge
This property appealed to us because of it's proximity to Douglas Lake, and it's convenience to the attractions of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smokies while being able to come back to the quiet country setting of the ranch after a day of fun.
What makes this Lodge unique
Mountain Lake Ranch is a great place to relax, enjoy activities whether on the lake nearby or on the grounds at our fishing pond, volleyball area, basketball in our gym, or a cozy bonfire. There is ample area for young people to run, play games and get some exercise. The owners was really nice! They even let us drop our stuff off early because it was raining and our stuff was in the back of our trucks. We had 40 people of all ages and the house was plenty of room. We all had meals together with plenty of tables and chairs. The kitchen had everything we needed for a big group. The property was beautiful. The kids never got bored. We was disappointed that there was not a fire pit but I never asked the owner either so maybe it was there somewhere. The kids enjoyed the indoor basketball. Laundry was an issue. The only washer and dryers are at the campground and cost money but we made it work. The location was perfect only a short drive to everything! The wifi dosent work on 2nd floor and most had no phone service but that just gave more family time! We had such a good time making memories!! Definetly would book it again!!
Large place for family to get together
Great place for families to go to spend time with each other my kids enjoy the ideas no TVs being in the bedroom they had time to spend with each other talking and laughing and playing games they enjoyed it so much they want to do it again in the springtime
We had almost 40 people present and this lodge suited our needs. The real plus was the outdoor space. Deb is an amazing communicator!
Great venue for a family reunion
We loved the location-close to the smokies, lake, and river. The lodge had adequate sleeping quarters and a gathering space that was large and separate enough so late nighters and early risers didn’t disturb sleepers.
We were truly blessed to find this wonderful place. We took a group of middle school and high school students and they had a wonderful time. The owners were very easy to work with and very friendly .
We rental the main lodge for an event we were attending in Knoxville. From the moment we checked in and met Deb we knew we were going to enjoy our time. Lodge was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and if we needed anything we had Deb’s cell phone. We cooked for 30 each morning and evening. We enjoyed the fellowship hall for our gathers. Our kids enjoyed fishing in the pond, playing basketball and volleyball. Each evening we would sit by the fire pit and make s’mores which was the highlight of the trip. Our trip was amazing and we can’t thank Deb and Betty enough. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone!
