About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Nice location but the cabin was really rundown

Overall you get what you pay for, and in this case you get a little less than you paid for. The location was great, the price was right, but the cabin itself was totally rundown. The couches where filthy and old, some doors wouldn't close all the way, the shower door in the master is unhinged. Overall its do-able if you need a place to crash that's close to Tahoe and the resorts, but don't expect much form the cabin itself.

Nice Place - better with some maintenance.

Beautiful area and an accommodating home. Needs a little TLC, but you will have fun with the family here.

What a disappointment

  • 1 of 5

The property from the outside is not bad, although they do not maintain it at all. It is dirty all around, not swept, or cleaned regularly. The inside is the same, even worse, the carpets filithy, the beds unmade, the fridge smelly and dirty, the shades and fans filthly, the barbecue filthly and unusable. After many calls, and no reaction to our calls for help, we left. We would never stay here again. We called repeateadly and no one was sent to help us so we left when it was 3:00 p.m. after we had arrived at 12:00 pm. Allen is the person who did not respond at all.

Fawn Aug 2016

Overall the location of this property and the structure itself were amazing. Staff is knowledgeable and we're genuinely very nice when we spoke with them. The house is a tad weatherd but nothing I wouldn't expect from vacation rental. The BBQ was older and took a long time to cook our food on. Took about an hour to cook a hamburger to medium. And a even longer for a Tri-tip to medium rare. The kitchen was great large enough to prepare large meals. All the utensils and cookware were provided. Which was nice since we cooked most of our meals. We did have to buy a thermometer though due to the questionable BBQ. All the appliances were new so if you read a review about a funky fridge on here, void that. It's been taken care of. The hot tub worked great, and is well taken care of. (Kudos to their spa guy). Everything was clean and usable. However you can tell the couches are very loved, And they're set up a lot more practical than in the photos provided. Most of all, on our trip we weren't looking to pick apart the architecture and cleanliness of of a rental. We went up to make memories and have a good time. And we did just that in this home. I'M SURE YOU'LL ENJOY IT!
