About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Loved our stay here

 • 5 of 5

This location is literally a few minutes drive from the lake. The house was very clean and very well maintained.

Good location, nice hot tub

 • 3 of 5

The property is dated. We did not have enough towels and the bed linens were very old looking. Good location good bones but they need to spend some time upgrading this home.

Big House in disrepair - good for college kids perhaps. Very disappointed.

 • 1 of 5

We left a day early because getting a good night's sleep on the 30 year old mattress was impossible. Mattresses in general very poor. Blinds don't work in most rooms. Toilet seat and shower doors broken in master. Living room couches very dirty with stains on the arms. Garbage cans buried under snow. In winter the driveway is extremely difficult to navigate- even with 4-wheel drive. Management was responsive about making sure driveway was plowed. Hot tub instructions make no sense for current electrical system. No supplies in event of power outage which we encountered (no flashlight, no candles, no matches). Need instructions on using the thermostat so it is not so hot at night, the only way we could get it to cool down was to shut it off completely. No detergents for dishes or laundry - but you are requested to run washes before leaving. Overall, this was not a good experience at all. Considered asking for a refund for the last night as we chose to drive home instead of staying another night in this house.

Nice location but the cabin was really rundown

 • 2 of 5

Overall you get what you pay for, and in this case you get a little less than you paid for. The location was great, the price was right, but the cabin itself was totally rundown. The couches where filthy and old, some doors wouldn't close all the way, the shower door in the master is unhinged. Overall its do-able if you need a place to crash that's close to Tahoe and the resorts, but don't expect much form the cabin itself.

Nice Place - better with some maintenance.

Beautiful area and an accommodating home. Needs a little TLC, but you will have fun with the family here.

What a disappointment

 • 1 of 5

The property from the outside is not bad, although they do not maintain it at all. It is dirty all around, not swept, or cleaned regularly. The inside is the same, even worse, the carpets filithy, the beds unmade, the fridge smelly and dirty, the shades and fans filthly, the barbecue filthly and unusable. After many calls, and no reaction to our calls for help, we left. We would never stay here again. We called repeateadly and no one was sent to help us so we left when it was 3:00 p.m. after we had arrived at 12:00 pm. Allen is the person who did not respond at all.
