Oprah says, ''San Luis Obispo is the Happiest City in America', and I must say that we agree.
Built by our family in 2000, this solar powered home allowed us to host our large family and still have room for our friends who often stayed with us. We have lived in SLO for over 30+ years, and we can't imagine living anywhere else. Now that our kids are grown and out of the house, we relocated and turned our beautiful home into this vacation rental. We know you'll enjoy the lovingly cared for property as much as we do.

Excellent house with plenty of space for our party size. The house was very neatly up kept with furnishings that made us feel right at home. Spare blankets and pillows were also conveniently placed in every room for additional guests.
We had a great time staying at the Turtle House. The house was very spacious for our party of ten.
The house was clean and organized. The garden was beautiful -- relaxing place to enjoy a glass of wine.
It was nice to hang out with the turtles -- Tommy & George. Definitely, we will come back here again!

Turtle House is a an excellent property for a family re-union or gathering for a special occasion; lots of space for the kids and an inviting kitchen area for eating and socializing. The veranda is very inviting, perfect for an evening barbeque and fine local wine
My daughter had her wedding just down the road at the Holland Ranch (August 6, 2016). We needed a house for 10 adults and 4 children with lots of space..... not just for sleeping. Having the two family rooms, full size dining table, big island kitchen and the big outdoor patio gave the family plenty of area to be together and also break away into smaller groups. We cooked in and BBQ'd most meals for 5 days. Single story was a must for us as we had my 90 year old mother with us (for a total of 4 generations at the house). Of course the turtles were a big hit for all of the ages! Thank you for sharing your lovely home! Steve
We stayed at the turtle house with 2 other families and it was the perfect size and space for us. Kids played outside most of the days. House was clean and spacious. The only thing I would suggest is more baking/cooking ware. There was also no cleaning supplies to wipe counters or clean up. But other than that it was a perfect fit for our 3 families.
Outstanding place to relax during our stay for our son's wedding. Lots of great family memories to share for a lifetime. We give The Turtle House ten stars! Thank you!
The Turtle House was absolutely perfect! It was roomy, clean, and totally stocked with everything we needed. The beautiful shaded porch was an awesome place for us all to hang out together comfortably, and the outdoor grill and patio furniture was perfect. The flowers were beautiful, and the turtles were an added attraction. The gardener was so kind as to give us the rose petals he was clipping off to use for the flower girl's basket for my daughter's wedding. The location was convenient to the airport, local shopping, to the beach, and to my daughter's wedding venue. We loved it and will be back! Becky and Steve
