Great location for people who love safe, bright, clean and comfortable space with all of the essentials. The condo comfortably fits 4-5 people. The main living space faces north-east where there is plenty of light but no direct afternoon sun.
There are 2 bedrooms. Master bedroom has a queen size bed and another one has 2 beds - a full size (double) bed and a single (twin) bed. Living room has a sofa bed that converts into a full size (double) bed for additional sleeping place. Clean and modern bathroom with a toilet, sink and a glass-enclosed shower.
The kitchen has granite counters and is equipped with gas stove, full-sized fridge, small appliances (toaster, citrus juicer, coffee maker and blender) and a full set of pots, cooking utensils, plates, silverware, cups and glasses, etc.
The condo has three independent air conditioners: one in the living room and one in each bedroom. There are also ceiling fans (ventilators) in every bedroom, 2 fans in the living area and two portable fans for your convenience.
The condo is fully equipped with all of the necessary items, including bed linens, bath and beach towels. There is a washing machine, dry rack, iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer. All of our bedding linen are high-thread count 100% cotton and our pillows are down / feather mix.
We also provide a laptop-size safe, digital entry door lock (where you can set up your own code) and a smoke alarm for your safety and convenience.
The price includes the cost of tap water, WIFI Internet, Cable TV, propane gas for the stove. Rent also includes 30KW of electricity per day (210KW/week). We require $100USD refundable electricity deposit when you check in (cash) to cover electricity cost over the amount included. The price for additional electricity is 3 pesos per KW. Please note that the amount of electricity included in price is sufficient for most guests and the deposit serves as a precaution from overuse of the air conditioner.
One bike is included.
Guests have the entire place. Rent includes access to 5 star hotel The Reef Playacar located at the beach about 2 km (1.2 mi) from our condo for use of pools, lounges, gym, sports and kids activities for up to 4 people (additional guests may purchase all-inclusive day pass for about $50USD).
Interaction with Guests
We prefer the guests decide on the level of interaction.
Playacar is very prestigious and safe neighborhood of Playa Del Carmen with controlled access. It has great hotels, villas, golf and tennis courts and several Mayan ruins sites. It is beautifully landscaped, with sidewalks and bike lanes. The distance to the beach and the famous Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) from our condo is about 1KM (0.8 mi). It is about 2 KM (1.2 mi) to the city center and many supermarkets. The apartment complex Anemona is located within the Playacar, has additional 24hr security and is very clean and well-lit.
One bike is included. Additional bikes can be rented across the street. In the town there are public buses, collectivos and very reasonable taxi. Cars, scooters and other transportation can be rented if needed.
Other Things to Note
Our family of 4 lives comfortably here. There are some toys/sports equipment as well as snorkeling equipment for use by the guests.
We are a family from Ontario, Canada and we love spending time in our Playa home. We have been visiting Playa del Carmen for almost 10 years now, starting with all-inclusives, then renting and now owning a place of our own here. We have visited numerous areas in the US, Cuba, Dominican, Belize and others, however find Mayan Riviera / Playa del Carmen to be the most comfortable for our needs. We enjoy an active lifestyle: jogging, walking, swimming, biking, exploring and meeting people. Our condo is not a rental property, it is our home and we love it and live here several months out of a year. When we do not use it, we are happy to share our home with you - our guests.

Thank you for a great stay - the property is well located in Playacar, a very safe gated community. It is very close to all you could need, including some nice resturants just over the road and a mega supermarket within walking distance. We continued our travels on to Tulum/Coba and the location made it very easy to get out of town. My son's highlight was a day at the pool at the Reef Hotel.
