When you stay in this home, you will love the quiet neighborhood, proximity to the beach, and central location. Situated right in Oceanside, this home is walkable to the beach (though the quickest route does involve a staircase) and to a cafe in town, and is just a quick five-minute drive north to the lovely Cape Meares Lighthouse.
This two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment can accommodate up to five people (four adults maximum). If you have a larger group, you may even rent the entirety of this house together! This unit does welcome dogs, so bring up to two of your furry friends along with you (a fee applies).
While you'll have the privacy of The Potter's Wheel, the home's lower deck with grill is a common area among the whole home. So, you may just make a few new friends on your stay here!
A spacious and comfortable living room has windows that allow a great view of the ocean, plus a large TV equipped with cable and a DVD player. You will also have Internet access and your own washer and dryer in this home, so there's no need to worry about whether you packed enough clean socks!
In the full kitchen, you will be delighted to see all the appliances and tools you may need to prepare delicious meals during your stay. With a few extras, such as a blender and a waffle iron, you could whip up an amazing breakfast of fruit smoothies and waffles before heading out to the beach for an early-morning stroll.
In the evenings, sit out on your private balcony and enjoy a spectacular sunset, then head inside and sleep soundly in one of the two bedrooms (both of which have sumptuous queen-size beds). Someone could even sleep on the comfortable sofa and rest up for another day of walking on the beach.
This home would be a perfect place to bring a small family or group of friends to enjoy a vacation in a smaller coastal town. Oceanside has beautiful beaches, a small selection of eateries, and no shortage of charm, and you could also drive 15 miles east to reach Tillamook, which has many more dining and shopping opportunities, plus a famous (and delightful!) cheese factory.
Book a trip to this wonderful, clean, and comfortable vacation house and get ready for some beach fun!

I first stayed at Bernie's Castle 47 years ago and it was one of our favorite spots on the coast back then. Berni was still alive and living there at the time. I moved to Washington and it was with great delight I discovered Berni's Castle was still in business and very happy to discover the remodel was so well done with excellent craftsmanship and quality furnishings and finish. The bathroom is clean and nice and everything works very well. We were tickled to find Berni's wonderful hand made tiles in the Potter's Wheel. A very nice touch. The kitchen is well stocked and lacking nothing. The water is good. The heating system is excellent. The windows open and close easily and are good quality. The blinds work well and look nice. This is a classy place to stay and even in stormy weather, which was the case our last two visits, the view out of the windows is so stupendous we were quite happy to stay in and take our walks on the beach when the rain moderated. Bernie's Castle is our favorite place to stay on the coast. I am 70 years old now and we plan to go back there again and again as long as we are able.
The house was the perfect size, well furnished, well kept and comfy. I felt right at home. The view can't be beat.
I went for a solo Retreat during the winter time. Iceland to Portland the day they had 10 inches of snow so it was a little scary to getting through Tillamook pass. However I plan on taking my parents next fall before it gets cold because I can only imagine the drive to be beautiful. The parking was a little tight when other guests showed up for the weekend. Bernie's Castle was a welcomed place for me to watch incredible sunsets and lose myself watching the tide roll in and out. I will make this an annual trek.
We stayed in Bernie's Castle #2. The view was better than what you see in the photos. It was simply beautiful.
