This subunit of a larger, castle-like vacation home has some of the most spectacular views of the ocean from its high perch at the top of the house. With a private entrance and living space, and only a few blocks away from the beach, this apartment-style house is a perfect way to experience the charm of small-but-lovely Oceanside.
Perched on a small hill about two blocks inland, this home is in a quiet location right in town. You can easily walk to the beach (just go down the stairs on the deck and walk two blocks west) or to a cute cafe in town, but if you want more options you could easily drive 15 minutes over to Tillamook, a much larger coastal town with many restaurants, stores, and a famous cheese factory.
This particular listing is for a subunit within a larger house, which can also be rented to host larger groups. The Crow's Nest, with two bedrooms each containing a queen-size bed, and one full bathroom, this home can accommodate up to four guests comfortably with a maximum of five.
Inside, you will find your own full kitchen equipped with all the necessary appliances and tools, and a lovely dining room area with many windows overlooking the ocean. A living room has comfortable seating for everyone, plus a TV with cable and a DVD player, Internet access, and child-friendly board games. You will also have your own laundry area, so there's no need to worry about trying to keep your clothes clean while you vacation!
Outside, a private balcony offers a great place to relax in the fresh sea air and watch the ocean. You could also walk down to the outdoor common area, a large deck downstairs, and gaze at the scenery from there or use the staircase to take a shortcut to the beach access. You'll also have use of a common deck with a grill. If you're renting all of Berni's Castle 17-person castle or enjoy making a few new friends, the lower deck with grill will be a fun socializing spot.
This home would be a perfect place to take a small family or group of friends to enjoy the beach and explore the easygoing town of Oceanside. With Tillamook so close, and the beautiful Cape Meares Lighthouse only three miles north, you will have plenty to keep you busy in the area.
Come visit this comfortable, clean, and castle-like home in lovely Oceanside, and see for yourself what makes it so special!

Nice little Oceanside condo with excellent view and quick beach access. Appreciate that dogs are welcome. It is a bit cozy - perfect for two couples. Stocked with games and puzzles for those rainy beach days. We had a blast!!
Rain or shine, wind or fog, we like to stay here primarily for the view, and the fact that not many people come here in the winter. We enjoy rainy walks on the beach when no one else if there. The washer/dryer makes it possible to clean and dry all your soggy clothes before the next walk.
Views from here are fantastic. Kitchen is well appointed, and the home is comfortable. Smaller than I thought it would be, but it was just fine for our weekend escape. We love visiting Oceanside.
Lovely place for gazing out at the ocean - the coastline at Oceanside is particularly scenic in this location. Bonus is no deck in front to break the view directly down to the beach. The property is very clean, cozy and includes a small private deck off the side.
We brought several DVDs but could not get them to work in the built-in player. The controls for the television were confusing (3 remotes and 2 external boxes) but we figured it out.
Buy your own tap water. The tap water tastes bad.
A great spot for our two days in Oceanside. The view from the dining table is killer. The living room is cozy, and the kitchen had everything we needed for all our meals (even a selection of spices). The beach was a short walk away and provided lots of fun for our three kids and dog. A small need was dealt with quickly by the vacasa staff. Size wise, it would have been cramped for more than two days for our family of five. Bedrooms are very, very small, so there is really not room to set up the third kiddo on the floor. Ours slept on the bedroom window seat. Otherwise, the fifth person would have to sleep on the sofa. The deck was super tiny. It's a single person deck, really. There's a larger communal deck two stories below if you wanted to eat outdoors or hang out.
