NOTE: We do not accept any reservation that includes pets of any size - NO exceptions. Additionally, so as to further provide all guests with a meticulously maintained custom cabin, smoking any substance inside the cabin (including e-cigs or vapes) is not permitted.

You will immediately know you made the right choice beginning with the warm and comfortable high end furniture and accessories, a complimentary bottle of wine, and the perfect spacious room layout for one or two adult couples. Choose either Very Large fully appointed bedroom - the loft with the comfy Queen, or the downstairs Master with just as comfortable king bedding and custom quilts. Both offer full and large bathrooms with insulated windows and custom privacy shades. Stay warm with overhead fan heaters in each bathroom for the ever so often morning chills.

Parkway BellaVista is meticulously maintained amid peaceful mountain surroundings. Rock away on the large covered front porch to the many different sounds of birds and wildlife, or simply relax to the relaxing flow of the stream across the street. The newly enlarged back deck that ties seamlessly into the front porch covered front porch is where you can enjoy eating in the open or move to the covered porch.

Dine inside at the large bar height dining table while taking in the warm ambience of a massive stone gas log fireplace. Take in the vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a 42" HDTV with custom sound bar fronting the fireplace.

With a total of 3 HDTV's, unlimited hi speed wifi, plus the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor space heater alongside a propane grill, there is no need to go anywhere. The only missing element for the utmost stay is your anxious anticipation of feeling like you've arrived!

Venture 700 yards up from the driveway to access the Blue Ridge Parkway, and drive one of the most breathtaking Parkway routes to West Jefferson and Glendale Springs, or south to Boone and Blowing Rock. You can actually walk to the Parkway, bike, hike, or drive in either direction to take in the views, overlooks, waterfalls, picnic areas and trails. Kayak, canoe, or just enjoy the South Fork River only a few miles away.

This cabin is only 7 years 'young' and we have truly attempted to pay very close attention to every detail. Bring your bike, kayaks, and energy to the Blue Ridge. If you are looking for noise, traffic, hard to manage dirt roads to a cabin in the woods with no view, then this is not for you!

Elevation, proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway, scenic drive to/from any direction. Searched the area for almost 3 years before finding Parkway 'Bella Vista'. It is simply just what I was looking for. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, close to Boone, Blowing Rock, and the up and coming 'artsy' downtown area of West Jefferson. Cool crisp nights, clean air, the sound of the roadside creek from the front porch while sipping morning coffee or evening wine. The quality of the construction was also a key factor and this cabin boasts quality and precision throughout. Spacious, lofty, roomy, bright, well ventilated, heated and cooled, and a great covered front porch to take in the sights and sounds of the mountain views. Easily accessible, yet with little or not traffic, and plenty of room to do your own thing.

What makes this Cabin unique

No noise, no traffic, less summer heat, wildlife, surrounding mountain views, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the local people.

                                                          Dear John,

                                                          Our stay at the lovely Parkway BellaVista could not have been any more relaxing and pleasant. The cabin was meticulously decorated, inside and out. Fresh flowers on the entrance steps, easy access when initially arriving at the cabin, very comfortable high end furniture and bedding, extremely well equipped kitchen, nice gas grill on the deck - I could go on forever. The welcome bottle of Merlot was also appreciated. Oh, and did I mention the basket of lights sitting at the foot of the inside stairway that just happened to come on every evening as dusk rolled in? The first evening it was a pleasant surprise. The evenings to follow, I waited with anticipation for the moment that the sparkling lights would once again grace the corner in which they sat. This was a simple, nice addition to the character of your lovely cabin. I must not leave out my comments regarding the housekeeping - IMMACULATE!!! I didn't even give it a second thought when I took my shoes off and walked barefooted through the house, which is something I rarely do in any rental property. And I loved all the beautiful rugs. It's almost like they were strategically placed so that one could walk (barefooted) throughout the whole house without stepping on cold floors. In your check-in instructions, I love your note about how some guests decided to take certain items that should have been left for others to enjoy and that you know every item in the house - well, as I meandered through the house admiring all your decorations - each seeming to have its own place and meaning for being there - I jokingly reminded my husband of your comments and said "now this is a piece that I would take home with me IF I were one of those people". But I'm not. I hope that all your guests to follow will take the time to look around and see how much time, energy and love has gone into this beautiful little cabin nestled in a warm, welcoming spot in our gorgeous NC mountains. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit. The remainder of this year is quite full, however, I hope to return in the spring.

                                                          We just returned home from a month's stay at this cabin and what a wonderful, restorative time we had. First of all, the cabin is furnished and decorated with first class furniture and decor. It is immaculate and was very easy to keep that way. The setting is quiet and serene. Sitting out on the deck watching the hummingbirds and listening to the brook across the street was one of our favorite activities. The cabin is close enough to downtown West Jefferson, Boone and Blowing Rock yet secluded enough to afford that "get away from it all" feeling. The owner, John Leggett, could not have been more gracious and accommodating. We are hoping to return next year. Thank you, John, for making your lovely cabin available to us- we are truly grateful.

Mile Post 268 is access and travel north or south to overlooks, walking trails, picnic areas, or drive to the South Fork of the New River and kayak, tube, or float at your liesure. 18 minutes to Boone, West Jefferson, 30 to Blowing Rock. Grandfather Mountain nearby as well. The MST along the Blue Ridge is easily accessible by walking up the hill from the Cabin in 10 minutes. Enjoy the new found art, crafts, and specialty stores in West Jefferson, eat at Shatley Springs for an incredible breakfast, lunch or dinner, or treat yourself to great restaurant choices in nearby Boone or Blowing Rock.
