About The Owner

We moved to the area from S. Florida 20 years ago to raise our children here. Danny and his father built this cabin in the lot next door to our house with their own hands as if we would live in it ourselves.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2014

Why The Owner chose Bryson City Area

You can see and hear the river constantly and feel secluded although you have access to the highway nearby.

What makes this cabin unique

Awesome views await you.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Enjoyed watching the geese from the front porch and hearing the sounds of the river. We never closed the windows with perfect weather and had morning coffee and dinner on the porch. It was lovely.

Best Vacation Ever!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the riverfront cabin on the Tuckasegee River. Everything was perfect. The cabin was clean and well supplied with everything

we could need. The view from the front porch was spectacular. Our hosts the Schneiders were friendly and glad to assist in anything

we needed. This was one of the best vacations my husband and I have ever taken and we plan to return next year if possible. I

certainly recommend this cabin.

Clean, well maintained, and absolutely beautiful will definitely be back

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed my stay with my wife and infant daughter easy to get to all kinds of hiking plus Bryson city and Cherokee. The river is beautiful and makes me wish I had brought my fishing rod. Only possible complaints are the mattress seems to be a little old and could use replacement also getting out of the driveway is a little precarious. Overall a wonderful property with very flexible owners will be back for sure.

Kay and Larry

We arrived on Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and spent two nights in this riverfront cabin. We really enjoyed having coffee on the huge porch overlooking the River each morning, and spent time on the porch in the evening as well. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped, and very convenient to Bryson City and Cherokee. We kayaked the Tuckaseegee, and hiked several trails in Cherokee and and Deep Creek. We had a wonderful time, and look forward to going back!

Beautiful Vacation Home on the Tuckasegee River

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our Labor Day weekend getaway. The views of the river are gorgeous and the home is very clean and comfortable. We were able to kayak in the river right in front of the home and we had a wonderful time. Cherokee is only minutes away. I highly recommend this property.

What a great location!!

  • 5 of 5

Restful and peaceful. Spent hours sitting on the porch watching fishermen fish, wildlife play, and the Smoky Mountain train go by. Cabin was nice and well appointed. Hopefully, we'll be able to return.

We are happy to recommend this cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Four night stay ending 7/28/16 - This was our first time at this cabin. We were very satisfied with the location. It is centrally located between Cherokee, Bryson City, Franklin etc with easy access. Each day we went out on adventures like rafting, gem mining, Cherokee, outdoor drama Unto These Hills, waterfalls, Gaitlinburg etc. but were back in time to cook out and enjoy the cabin. The Great Smokey Mountain Railroad runs across the river in front of the cabin. The cabin was small but exactly what we needed. There were three of us (9 year old son) and there was plenty of room. Everything we needed was provided with the cabin. The cabin was extremely clean (I am very particular where I stay). It was a quiet location, we never saw anyone else. Nice porch with rocking chairs for watching the river and geese and just relaxing. There is a place for a bond fire on the river and making s'mores which we did. We did some fishing in the river, we didn't catch anything but that is why it is called "fishing" and not "catching" but still very enjoyable. We did not meet the owners but I am confident that if we had needed something we could have contacted them easily. We recommend this cabin!
