About The Owner

We moved to the area from S. Florida 20 years ago to raise our children here. Danny and his father built this cabin in the lot next door to our house with their own hands as if we would live in it ourselves.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2014

Why The Owner chose Bryson City Area

You can see and hear the river constantly and feel secluded although you have access to the highway nearby.

What makes this cabin unique

Awesome views await you.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Enjoyed watching the geese from the front porch and hearing the sounds of the river. We never closed the windows with perfect weather and had morning coffee and dinner on the porch. It was lovely.

Very nice place.

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed relaxing in the evening and listening to the river run. The porch was wonderful and a nice place to enjoy coffee or tea in the morning with a book. Good location for Cherokee, Smokey Mountains and other day trips to the many small towns in the area. The place was comfortable.

Cute little place.

  • 5 of 5

My other half and myself stayed 2 nights, we loved the big front porch. Fishing wasn't the best for trout a lot of bass and carp but it was fun. We stayed outside most of the time watching the geese eating acorns and the beaver swimming through the river (he was a bit camera shy). We also were greeted by the groundhog that lives behind the cabin. Everything you need was provided. Thanks for sharing your riverside cabin with us.

Awesome Back Porch View - Everything we had hoped it would be!

  • 5 of 5

This is the place. If you want a quiet relaxing clean and comfortable little spot don't waste anymore time looking for something better. The owners were wonderful and helpful. The cabin is fully equipped and has every touch of home. Don't worry about the driveway - yes it's steep but perfectly manageable. Cherokee and the Park Entrance are only a short drive away. Did I mention the railroad? The train passes on the tracks across the river a few times a day and is nothing less than impressive. An eagle, lots of geese, lovely fish, and a neighborly groundhog all call this paradise home. The cabin is the perfect size for 2 adults and we brought our toddler and were very happy. I could say lots more but the bottom line is we found a treasure in this place and hope to return for a longer stay very soon!

Best Vacation Ever!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the riverfront cabin on the Tuckasegee River. Everything was perfect. The cabin was clean and well supplied with everything

we could need. The view from the front porch was spectacular. Our hosts the Schneiders were friendly and glad to assist in anything

we needed. This was one of the best vacations my husband and I have ever taken and we plan to return next year if possible. I

certainly recommend this cabin.

Clean, well maintained, and absolutely beautiful will definitely be back

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed my stay with my wife and infant daughter easy to get to all kinds of hiking plus Bryson city and Cherokee. The river is beautiful and makes me wish I had brought my fishing rod. Only possible complaints are the mattress seems to be a little old and could use replacement also getting out of the driveway is a little precarious. Overall a wonderful property with very flexible owners will be back for sure.

Kay and Larry

  • 5 of 5

We arrived on Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and spent two nights in this riverfront cabin. We really enjoyed having coffee on the huge porch overlooking the River each morning, and spent time on the porch in the evening as well. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped, and very convenient to Bryson City and Cherokee. We kayaked the Tuckaseegee, and hiked several trails in Cherokee and and Deep Creek. We had a wonderful time, and look forward to going back!
