About the property

Minutes away from wineries, waterfalls, hiking, and the village of Naples, New York, Sunnyside Shore is the perfect place for your lakeside vacation. This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage sits on the quiet and pristine south end of Canandaigua Lake. Along with a sleeper sofa, this cottage sleeps 4 to 6 people comfortably. Just a quick boat ride down to the north end, Sunnyside Shore offers yards of level beach where you can launch boats; the walk-up entrance to the lake is also the ideal spot for kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, or fans of other water sports. If you’d rather stay on land, Sunnyside Shore has over 100 feet of frontage to soak up the sun or play some field games. A gas grill is available, and the kitchen is fully outfitted to help you cook your meals during your stay. And why not try to catch what you cook? Sunnyside Shore’s 20 foot dock is the perfect place to try your luck with Canandaigua’s trout, bass, and perch.

Sunnyside Shore’s interior is newly updated. Beautiful dark hardwood floors run throughout. All appliances are stainless steel. A stackable washer and drier are located off the kitchen. On the colder nights, you can curl up in front of the gas fireplace, or maybe rent a movie on the 60 inch TV. How about something in 3D? The 3D glasses are available to maximize your viewing experience. Or, if you’d rather watch something in bed, the master bedroom has a mounted 32 inch TV. In the morning, make a fresh cup of coffee in the Keurig, then go outside and enjoy the view of the mountains, valleys, and water from our Adirondack chairs. Spend your day hiking to waterfalls that are within walking distance, sampling from several nearby wineries, shopping in the quaint village of Naples, boating up to the bars and restaurants in Canandaigua, or simply sitting in the sun and watching the waves go by.

Whether you’re in town for a summer wine tour, a fishing vacation, a golf trip, or to hit the slopes at Bristol Mountain, Sunnyside Shore is the perfect location! It is available to rent year round to help you explore the heart of the Finger Lakes region!

Perfect place for relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our 3 kids and older dog. It was perfect for us with plenty of level water access. The house itself is small but completely updated and has all the modern amenities you need. We brought two small cots for our kids and Set them up in the bedroom and it worked great. It's on the end of a private drive so our dog spent the entire day outside. Kayaking at the south end is beautiful. While private there is still plenty to do, we visited grimes glen, Cummings nature center, roseland water park, wineries, other hiking trails and stores all within a 20min drive. Owner was very responsive to a few little things that came up. We look forward to coming back!

We absolutely loved our week here! The home is modern, very clean, and has amazing views of the lake! We have already began planning our trip for next summer.

Awesome vacation three years in a row!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our third straight year at this property and it just keeps getting better! The house is very comfortable and in a beautiful and quiet location. My wife and I and 3 college-age kids spend much of the time hanging out by the water and relaxing with an adult beverage (for most of the crew). We are also avid walkers/runners and find the quiet road and hill just the right level of rigor for a 5-mile morning jaunt. This year we ventured out to the nearby Clark Gulley to explore water falls and cool streams for more fun times. The Canandaigua Wegmans and restaurants are close enough that you don't feel too far from civilization. Really a great place for a fun and low-key vacation.

Perfect week of 'decompression' in a private, cozy setting

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this location the last week in June - sandwiched between the end of school in NY state and July 4th weekend. The cottage sits at the end of a dead end drive. There are two properties to either side - neither was occupied the week of our stay. The dog-friendly environment was perfect for my two retrievers - bit of lawn, water access, and good places to walk. The cottage is small but perfect for two adults and two large dogs. The galley style kitchen is separated from the living area. The dining area is in the front of the house so lake views are enjoyed from all three areas. The cottage is well appointed with many thoughtful details - from rainy day activities such as board games, puzzles, and dvds to lawn games and water craft. The shed is filled with fishing poles, lawn chairs and games. There is a row boat, a canoe, and two kayaks for water fun. There is a large fire pit on the beach. We brought wood but there was also a small supply there. Everything you need to do a cookout or make dinner is available, but Naples offers a variety of unique eating opportunities as well. Canandaigua is just a 30 minute drive north. A drawback for some might be the lack of wifi, but I had no issues with a good cell signal. Would I rent this propoerty again? Yes, indeed. In fact, already thinking about next year again in June.

We stayed almost a week at Brian's property

  • 5 of 5

October is a beautiful time to be in the Finger Lakes and this rental property was lovely. It has all the modern upgrades expected and is at the end of a very quiet, private lakefront lane with a beautiful shoreline and gorgeous views. Brian was extremely responsive to all our needs. We will be sure to return.
