Pretty pleased with white oaks cabin
We had a good time and had plenty of room and really enjoyed the view.
This is a beautiful cabin. We were really happy with everything. The porch is perfect for relaxing and hanging out. Alot more private than most locations
There are neighbors but they are a good distance apart. One of my main concerns was bathrooms. This was a girls trip, 8 women, and the amount of bathrooms and vanities was perfect for all of us to get ready at the same time lol. The location is perfect too. All attractions, including The Island, and restaurants are within 15-20 min. We had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again.
The cabin was beautiful, exactly as pictured. Everything was clean, location and privacy were perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to find an affordable cabin to rent.
Gorgeous place BUT...
The property is located in a gorgeous secluded place but not too far from the city...which was exactly what we needed with kids. The lodge itself was very clean with the exception of a few dead bugs which is expected I suppose in the mountains. The porch is what got my vote when booking since it looks really comfortable and exactly what I wanted for a mountain relaxation time. The two swings and the rocking chairs are very comfortable and the fact that there weren't any mosquitoes was weird yet welcoming. I thought with the huge porch with doors at the end it would allow my toddlers to enjoy the outdoor while I am relaxing and having a moment to myself. However the gap between the rails really is wide that my almost 4 year old could easily squeeze through and fall. This was such a hassle since I still had to run after my toddler (almost 2 year old) so he won't fall through the rails.
Another thing I would like to point out is the absence of a light above the parking area. It gets really scary at night so if you need to grab something from your car after dark, it is a bit scary not to run into any animals in the dark There is a sensor light which literally turns off within 2 seconds so not enough time really.
Apart from all these relatively minor concerns, we really enjoyed our time here and loved that the drive to all the main attractions wasn't too bad. Enjoying your morning coffee on the porch (before your kids wake up) and watching the humming birds was the best part of staying here.
Was nice Cabin. Enjoyed our Stay.
