It was clean, & fully stocked. Beds were comfy. Plenty of space so we weren't in each other's way. Concerned at first that we were too far from activities but it turned out to be the best location. Easy to reach all parts of island, planning ahead for traffic times
This house was amazing. It included every amenity that a home could have. My family included 8 adults and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool and view of the ocean was spectacular. This is now one of my family's favorite vacation spots. Thanks Scott and Robin for offering your beautiful home.
This house is totally beautiful. pictures do not do it justice. I had family and friends with me . we all enjoyed the house and pool very much. everything was in working order. It is in a quiet part of Makaha far enough away from all of the traffic and congestion of traffic and tourists. I spent my 50th birthday there. All of us got to see beautiful sunsets across the ocean. we got to see sea turtles and a couple of seals. I would do it again. Thank you for the memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
We looked at several properties while trying to determine where to stay on Oahu. When we saw this one we were hooked! It had everything we were looking for! AND, it was exactly like the pictures!
We had a group of 9. The bedrooms worked well for us, each couple got their own room and Grandma got to share the bunkbed room with her 2 grandsons. The lower bunk was a full size bed, so it was perfect.
We loved being on the West side of the island for the fabulous sunset views, which we enjoyed in the gazebo and poolside with yummy frozen drinks made in the blender provided in the well equipped kitchen.
The pool was wonderful to have available for relaxing while we were home in the evenings grilling wonderful dinners.
We went on many day trip excursions. I would recommend leaving early and then either heading home before 3:30 or enjoy where you are until after 6:00pm, as the traffic does get bad during that time.
Pearl Harbor is a must – If you don’t get tickets ahead of time, try to get there by 6:30am to get in line before the buses start rolling in shortly before 7:00.
We hiked Diamond Head one morning and then hit Waikiki beach that afternoon. This worked well for us.
We also made a trip to the Dole Plantation and then went on to North Shore. Our group later determined that we would rather have skipped the Dole Plantation and spent more time on the North Shore. But the Dole Plantation does have a lot to offer including a train ride, Maze and wonderful Dole Whips!
I would highly recommend Lanikai Beach on the East Shore as another day excursion.
The house itself was exquisite! It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. There are plenty of beach towels and in the garage are boogie boards, beach chairs/umbrellas and coolers. We would highly recommend staying at Scott and Robin’s paradise house.
There is a notebook that has lots of recommendations for things to do and local grocery stores/restaurants. We found this very helpful as well. We reached out to Danny at Westside surf lessons from the brochure that was in the book and had such a great time with him. He was a good coach with the family members that took lessons from him. He was also very informative on things to do on the island and took genuine interest to ensure we had a great time while we were visiting his island.
Also a big shout out to Danny at Westside surf lessons. Look him up if you have an interest in learning how to surf.
We had a wonderful time
My family and I felt so comfortable here. My brother who is in a wheelchair also really enjoyed it. The complete downstairs is wheelchair accessible, the downstairs shower wasnt accessible for my brother but we did made other arrangements. There was a elevator but it was out of order unfortunately.
The house was extremely clean, and peaceful.
The location was in the rougher area of Oahu, but we did not mind because we really enjoyed staying at the house.
Would love to come back one day!
The home was paradise! We have vacationed a lot and stayed in a lot of homes. This house was absolutely beautiful! The location was a bit far away from things we ended up doing, because of traffic, but still worth it! Extremely clean and well maintained. All the appliances or kitchenware we could have needed were available. I would recommend this home to anyone.
