The home was paradise! We have vacationed a lot and stayed in a lot of homes. This house was absolutely beautiful! The location was a bit far away from things we ended up doing, because of traffic, but still worth it! Extremely clean and well maintained. All the appliances or kitchenware we could have needed were available. I would recommend this home to anyone.
We rented this house based on the first class accommodations and the view of the ocean. It was everything we expected! Our family had plenty of space (3500 sq. ft.) and we had access to all of the things we needed during our stay including barbecuing at night. The location on the west side of the island was wonderful as the weather was beautiful (it was raining several times on the other side of the island during our stay). Since we spent most our days on other parts of the island, it did require a little driving to get to the activities. Most of our activities started early in the morning so the traffic to and from those locations was not bad but we had to be aware of the times for traffic if we were traveling near Honolulu. We loved the access to Turtle Beach and got to see huge sea turtles within a five minute walk from the house (go during high tide!) The sunsets were spectacular from the cabana and we loved to sit on the master patio at night to look at the stars. I would not in a minute think about staying on Waikiki instead of renting this property unless you want to spend all of your time on a crowded beach.
As we have seen in other reviews, we had no problems with the area around the house - people were quite friendly, but we would recommend some of the restaurants that were about 25 minutes away near the resorts.
We would definitely stay here again as the house was first class!
We booked this house a year in advance and it was everything we had hoped for. As reported by many, the moment you walked through the front door you were in paradise. The house is amazing. Plenty of room and beautiful bedrooms. The pool was amazing however would be nice to have an extra step for getting in and out. We loved how close the beaches were to the house. We cancelled our boat trip for swimming with the turtles because we had that daily at the beach nearby. We drove to Makaha beach to paddle board daily (5 minutes away) and walked to the beach for swimming in the waves (3 minutes). Everything was perfect and we can't wait to return.
Seattle Family :)
All seven adults fell in love with this property as soon as we saw it! We are from the Midwest and wanted to stay forever. It was a very peaceful, relaxing place. If we wanted "action", we could drive 30-60 minutes and find it. It had plenty of space. If someone wanted private time, there was space for that , too. The kitchen was stocked with things I never thought of...from a regular coffee pot to a keurig to a coffee press to an instant hot water faucet. The pool is excellent. The ocean is breathtaking. There are two beaches readily available. One a five minute walk and the other a three minute walk. There was never many people on the beach. We do hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we did! We hope to return.

Hated to leave this awesome place!
The view is beautiful and just as advertised.
The home was well equipped and had everything we needed. Do yourself a favor and go to the house first before stocking up on things. There were many things already in the fridge and cubbard that we bought but didn't need to. Joe the maintenance guy was very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay here again!
Exactly like the pictures only better. The pool is larger then it looks in the pictures. I had spent months mapping out beaches in the area and Scott
has everything in a notebook when you arrive. We did not know how to operate the stove but the instructions where in the notebook and easy to follow.
The layout of the house was perfect with the downstairs bedroom for our three year old grandchild and parents. Our noise level never disturbed her.
With our large group it was nice to have a washer and dryer. With eight adults we went through towels quickly. The house is extremely reasonable for
how Grande it is. Everyone in the family was amazed what a good job I did renting this house. We received out full deposit back very quickly. Their is access to the beach a couple houses down on both sides. We were thrilled to find a turtle on the beach on the trail to the right of the house.
The location gets a bad rap for being in a bad area. I totally disagree. Me and my kids walked everywhere. Everyone in the neighborhood was nice.
The concept of walking to a beach is a joke. You have to much gear to take to carry it. Scott provides chairs and boogie boards. Makaha Beach is within
minutes and the best beach near by. I would recommend not booking any activities in Waianae. It is not difficult to drive to Waikiki for a booked adventure. I was always glad to get out of the craziness of Waikiki and drive back to old Hawaii and relax. I would suggest skipping the Polynesian Center, it looked better on paper. Shark fishing at night was a blast and a helicopter ride with Paradise at Turtle Bay Resort although expensive was worth ever penny. Snorkeling at Sharks Cove at Pupukea-Waimea was the
ultimate. Tons of fish and free! Ko-Olina lagoons were definitely good for kids, but leave boogie boards at home. Very calm water. My only regret was not
booking a longer stay. Thanks Scott for a wonderful vacation.
