2 Bedroom/2 Bath Across The Street From The Beach With A Partial Ocean View

This upgraded condo is the largest in the complex with a wrap around lanai featuring a partial ocean view on one side and a garden/mountain view on the other with 3 sliders going out to the lanai from the dining room, living room and master bedroom. Recently upgraded with granite countertops in the kitchen and master bath. Marble tile throughout the kitchen, dining room and lanai. The master bedroom has a queen bed, 2nd bedroom has two twin beds that can be put together to make one king. The living room has a new and very comfortable full size sofa bed. Sleeps 4-6. Unit includes a very large refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and fully stocked with kitchen utensils/pots/pans, etc. Outdoor barbecue area next to the pool includes 4 gas barbecues, outdoor kitchen and eating area. The pool area, which includes a hot tub, has been beautifully remodeled with stone features and plenty of chaise lounges and tables with umbrellas. Tennis court is located directly behind the condo, just steps away.

Bobbie, the matriarch of the family, fell in love with this area when on vacation and purchased the condo where she lived for 25 years. She was attracted to the beauty and serenity of the area, the beach right across the street, close proximity to town and shopping, and of course - the beautiful pool just steps away.

Airy and bright Magic Sands Village condo

We enjoyed staying at this 2 bedroom condo. The large wrap around lanai was a real treat. Because the lanai faces west and north, it was a good place to hang out during the day when the sun is out. Being across the street from Magic Sands beach was a real bonus. We spent many an hour at the beach: beware of the surf when it's high, as it was when we were there in late March. The waves were up to 8 feet on some days, which can be very dangerous for swimming or boogie boarding. Excellent stay overall!

Clean, quiet, spacious, a little dated

The unit is very clean! No funky smells. The sofa cushions are at most mildly stained.

The fans are necessary in March but we didn't need the AC unit. The natural light, huge sliding doors, wrap around lanai, outdoor table/chairs yet large indoor dining table were fantastic. Kitchen is a good size for one and has all the supplies (equipment and oil, seasoning, condiment; bring coffee) you need, even containers & cooler to bring to the beach which is so helpful! Fridge with ice/water dispenser was very handy. The Hawaiian wall art is attractive although toddlers may handle them more than a parent would like. The beach umbrella (really appreciated as the sun is very strong here for us), boogie boards, sand toys, drying rack were all used too. The W/D, detergent, etc were so helpful. The unit is fitted with grab bars in the master bedroom and bathroom, along with handicap tall toilets. Anti fatigue mats are nice as long as they are laundered between stays! We slept comfortably in a 'strange' bed given the mattress and pillows are softer than we normally have. The single beds are narrow that I almost wished it was easier to push the beds together for our school age kids.

The kids enjoyed the pool table; we used the BBQ area once; the pool looked nice but may be lacking a shallow area for younger kids. The unit is very close to these amenities and parking is very convenient as one only needs to walk up one flight of stairs. Not sure if office lends tennis racquets but we would have played if available from the unit.

The area is very quiet and feels safe. Barely heard other people when inside even with all the doors open; can hear a youngster running around upstairs but muffled. The birds are noisy in the morning and evening, but we didn't mind. we could see the sunset while dining outside and the sun coming over the mountain from the unit. We haven't gone across the street yet to check out the beach but sure is convenient as we've driven up to an hour to get to sandier beaches. Not a large beach and looks better suited for playing in the waves.

There are a few things that show signs of wear like some of the bathroom fixtures, the master toilet that never fills unless the flush returns to its proper level and the noisy dryer. But everything worked! Another outdoor lounger would have great. given the spaciousness, cleanliness and amenities, it's one of the better valued and enjoyable vacation rentals we've stayed at!

Nice unit and location

Unit was clean and comfortable and right across the street from the public beach. Karen, the owner, was great and could not have been more accommodating. We would stay here again!

Comfortable and convenient

I thoroughly enjoyed my three weeks in condo #124 especially since I had known the owner-occupant for more than 20 years. The condo was comfortable and easy to keep cool with plenty of ceiling fans. I hosted several guests for company over three weeks and the condo comfortably accommodated them.

I wouldn't hesitate to book this condo again.

Everything you need

This 2 bed/2 bath unit has been nicely updated and is well stocked with everything you will need during your stay in Hawaii. It has a well appointed kitchen for cooking complete meals. We made good use of all of the beach gear... towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, fishing and snorkeling gear. There is even a drying rack on the huge wrap around porch for all of the wet, sandy bathing suits. A reserved parking spot is located directly under the unit. It is in a great location; across the street from the beach, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We found the owner to be very accommodating and great to work with. We would definitely stay here again in this well-maintained, peaceful place.

The condo is located in a quiet garden setting with a partial ocean view just across the street from one of the best white sands beaches on the Big Island. Less than a mile away is a private reserve for some of the best snorkeling around.
