Cute 2 story Bungalow - convenient to downtown, nice backyard, screened in front porch, open floor plan downstairs, great for entertaining. Hardwood floors, wood stove, wireless internet, off street parking, walking distance to Commons. Fully stocked kitchen, linens, laundry in the basement. 2 queen size beds upstairs plus double futon in living room. Small half bath downstairs. No smoking indoors, pets considered. $200 pet deposit required. Money order for balance upon arrival. This house is my home when I am in town. It has objects of beauty to me. It is an older home, not perfect but very functional.
Note: There may be a cat in residence. She does not like to travel. (Being creatures of habit and all.)
I love to travel and so it works well to host guests while I am away.
Molly purchased this bungalow in 2010
This is not a sterile, impersonal "hotel like" property. It is a craftsmen with many cool features.
There are is a cat permanently in residence. She is low maintenance. Well behaved dogs will be considered. There is a fenced in back yard and a park close by for morning constitutionals.
This was a great home base for our long weekend in Ithaca - no more than a 10-minute drive to Buttermilk Falls, the CU campus, the farmers market, the lab of ornithology...and about a 3-minute drive to Wegmans.
Molly was responsive and helpful, and was very accommodating about our bringing along our toddler. Thanks for a lovely VRBO!
We stayed at Molly's cottage for five days when we brought our daughter back to Ithaca for school. We met her the day we left and she is a lovely person.
The house is very charming and was a perfect place for us to stay. You can walk to shopping and restaurants on the main road, a block or two away. Cornell, Ithaca college and the Commons are also a short drive away.
We would definitely stay there again.
Molly is a lovely host who literally opens her home to you as if you were friends coming to stay. She is very accommodating and as a first time Home Away guest this experiences was perfect. Molly's home is as pictured, but what you can't see is that the home is roomy enough to sleep six (there were only four of us) but cozy enough so that we could all congregate and enjoy the space as a family. Had we wanted to cook, the refrigerator was practically empty making it possible to shop and store food for a week. We did make French press coffee each morning and sat around the living room TV to watch the Olympics. Molly's cat Tigger came to visit several days and she's a funny loving cat.
The beds were comfortable and we slept well, making it possible for us to go out exploring Ithaca each day (my husband grew up in Ithaca and we took out teenage kids to see his childhood home and surrounds).
The location of Molly's home could not be better, it's close to EVERYTHING, downtown, restaurants, Farmer's Market, shopping, and parks. We would definitely love to stay at Molly's should we return. Thank you Molly for making your home temporarily our home.
Molly's property was very cute with a nice outdoor garden. It was quite close to downtown shops and markets. Molly recommended going to the farmers market and I would make sure it's something you don't miss
Spend the weekend and it was great. We were on a very busy schedule, left some item behind and the owner will send them to me! Molly is a very nice person.
Minutes from Ithaca College and Cornell University.
Waterfalls and Gorges are nearby. Very close to vineyards and wineries.
