Good house for our needs

  • 4 of 5

As the owner says, the property isn't perfect. However, the imperfections weren't a big deal, and the location is fantastic. It is within walking distance to several stores and is in a nice quiet neighborhood.

My wife and I both stated that we would gladly stay there again.

Cozy and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Molly's place was a cozy spot that met our needs really well during our stay in Ithaca. The house is well-equipped with creature comforts like a complete kitchen, netflix, and cozy linens. Molly was also very responsive when we had any questions during our stay.

Since we went with two young children--3 & 5--I would point out that there are a lot of small items throughout the house that we had to caution the kids to stay hands-off with. Additionally, I would have liked to have had better use of the backyard, as the pictures of it were part of the appeal of the house. It didn't turn out to be as kid-friendly back there as I would have liked, mostly due to the small pond. That said, there were many places within walking distance for us to get to, so we were fully able to enjoy the outdoor spaces nearby, leaving the backyard only a wished-for plus, rather than a necessity!

On the whole, this is a cozy, happy place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a spot in Ithaca.

Great location, great communication

  • 4 of 5

This was a great home base for our long weekend in Ithaca - no more than a 10-minute drive to Buttermilk Falls, the CU campus, the farmers market, the lab of ornithology...and about a 3-minute drive to Wegmans.

Molly was responsive and helpful, and was very accommodating about our bringing along our toddler. Thanks for a lovely VRBO!

Cozy cottage, close to all.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Molly's cottage for five days when we brought our daughter back to Ithaca for school. We met her the day we left and she is a lovely person.

The house is very charming and was a perfect place for us to stay. You can walk to shopping and restaurants on the main road, a block or two away. Cornell, Ithaca college and the Commons are also a short drive away.

We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy cottage where we felt at home

  • 5 of 5

Molly is a lovely host who literally opens her home to you as if you were friends coming to stay. She is very accommodating and as a first time Home Away guest this experiences was perfect. Molly's home is as pictured, but what you can't see is that the home is roomy enough to sleep six (there were only four of us) but cozy enough so that we could all congregate and enjoy the space as a family. Had we wanted to cook, the refrigerator was practically empty making it possible to shop and store food for a week. We did make French press coffee each morning and sat around the living room TV to watch the Olympics. Molly's cat Tigger came to visit several days and she's a funny loving cat.

The beds were comfortable and we slept well, making it possible for us to go out exploring Ithaca each day (my husband grew up in Ithaca and we took out teenage kids to see his childhood home and surrounds).

The location of Molly's home could not be better, it's close to EVERYTHING, downtown, restaurants, Farmer's Market, shopping, and parks. We would definitely love to stay at Molly's should we return. Thank you Molly for making your home temporarily our home.
