Wonderful little getaway! Better then a hotel. Clean and comfortable. Even the others at the marina were welcoming. I will DEFINITELY be returning. Maybe for a romantic getaway this time!

We enjoyed walks along the Mississippi River, skipping stones and looking for Eagles. Great restaurants nearby. Owners of houseboat were very responsive

Houseboat on the Mississippi

  • 5 of 5

My husband and sister-in-law and I stayed on the Naead, a quaint red houseboat moored at the Watergate Marina in St. Paul, for five nights in early August. It was lovely - comfy beds, occasional gentle rocking of the boat very soothing. It's a little like camping - though there's a shower on board, there's a much better one just up the hill at the marina; there's only a microwave for cooking. But, we hosted a cocktail party for a dozen family/friends very comfortably, and loved hanging out on the deck(s) of the boat to read and play games. Chris was great at promptly trouble shooting a couple of issues for us, and was gracious. All in all, we loved it - MUCH more fun than staying at a hotel in the city!

Totally enjoyed my stay. The houseboat was much more roomy than I would have imagined and the beds were very comfortable. We had beautiful weather! October Fall foliage, walked barefoot on and in the Mississippi river and it's banks. Hiked at Crosby Farm and the Hidden Falls national parks. Yes we found the hidden falls and they were in a beautiful setting. I've never seen so many robins in one place ever. Scenic drives nearby also. Loved waking up and sipping cocoa on the deck in the morning. Thank you 😊!

15 year anniversary celebration

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for a fun and unique experience for our 15 year wedding anniversary. It was such a charming and cozy houseboat. Very clean and well stocked. The location was perfect for St. Paul lovers and very close access to the Mississippi river blvd paved trail. The Marina was quiet. We will definitely be back!
