Welcome to our beautifully decorated and well appointed, two bedroom, two full bath, air-conditioned townhome, unit 1301, which we only advertise for rent on Vrbo 579245 and Homeaway 579245vb. We have endeavored to include as many amenities that we can in order to provide everything you need to enjoy your well deserved vacation. A gorgeous, gourmet kitchen with granite counters and plenty of space, delights even the most discriminating cook. The outdoor stainless steel Viking grill, will appeal to the barbeque connoisseur! Upstairs, the master bedroom has a beautiful and very comfortable Queen size bed, luxury linens and furnishings and has its own spacious lanai for enjoying the beautiful tropical weather in a private setting as you sip on your evening glass of wine! The master bath boasts a large jetted tub, a huge walk-in shower, double sinks and a private commode area. The second bedroom is on the main floor, completely private from the living area and only steps away from the large, main floor bathroom with brand new walk in shower. It is equipped with another very comfortable and relaxing Queen size bed and luxury linens and furnishings. There is also a full size washer and dryer for your convenience.

The Fairways at Mauna Lani has one of the most beautiful and largest swimming pools in the resort and boasts a spa with waterfalls and koi ponds. As a guest you also have access to a beautiful, PRIVATE beach club that comes with it's own private beach as well as Napua restaurant, definitely Luxury you deserve!

History of the Area: The Mauna Lani Resort area encompasses more than 3,000 acres on the beautiful Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The Kohala Coast is known as “The Gold Coast” because it is the sunniest spot in the state, with 350+ days of sunshine a year!

The area is steeped in ancient history and is the birthplace of King Kamehameha I, also known as Kamehameha the Great. Lovingly revered by the Hawaiian people, King Kamehameha was responsible for uniting the Hawaiian Islands under one rule in the late 1700’s.

In Hawaiian, Mauna Lani means “mountains reaching heaven”. A fitting name for this awe inspiring location nestled beneath five of the tallest and largest mountains on earth: Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Kilauea, Kohala and Hualalai. Falling in love with the Hawaiian Islands was easy, it took just one visit and we were smitten. Oahu, Kauai, Maui and now Hawaii we have been coming since 1984. We purchased a vacation rental on Maui in 2007 and enjoyed the pleasure of hosting many families over the past 7 years. This year, for the 3rd time, we came to the Big Island of Hawaii for a month and fell in love with the sheer beauty and magnificence of this Island and knew we wanted to come back every year. We look forward again to hosting many more guests in our 'new' little piece of paradise!

We have endeavoured to make our condo a peaceful, relaxing, wonderfully appointed haven for you to return to as you enjoy the sights, sounds and beauty of the Big Island.

We loved our stay at the Fairways Villa! The Condo was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed as well. We had the swimming pool to ourselves everyday while we were here- which was a treat. The beach club access was also great- a good beach for kids as the surf was not intense there. It was also a good location from which to explore the whole island- we were able to do day trips to Havi, Kona, Waimea, Hilo and Volcano Park with ease- and the condo is very close to what we considered to be the best swimming beaches (Mauna Kea and Hapuna). Also has a grocery store very close by, which we noticed was not the case for other accomodations on the island. Above all, we thought the rate was an absolute steal- well worth the price!!!! We will definately be back!

Clean, convenient, and well-appointed

I stayed at the Fairways with my husband and adult daughter. The Fairways is convenient to the nicest beaches on the Big Island and the access to the Beach Club is a huge bonus. The ancient fishing ponds are fun (loved the eels), and the snorkeling at the Beach Club is awesome. Unit 1301 was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. We liked having the ability to cook the occasional meal and had the necessary dishes and seasonings. The unit has coolers and beach bags as well as chairs and snorkel gear. We had an excellent week!

Ideal location for a great Big Island experience

We come to the Kohala Coast regularly in conjunction with visiting our son, who lives and works in Kailua-Kona. It has been our pleasure on numerous occasions to stay at the Mauna Lani Fairways, although this was our first time at #1301. We found the villa to be clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and complete in its kitchen,beach, and other accessories. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you.

Very nice house in a great location

We've been to Fairways 1301 in july 2016 with 4 adults.

We had a really good time. The house is well equipped

and in a great location. In this part of the Big Island the

sun always shines while all around big clouds hang.

Home away from home

This is a very nice town home and is close to shopping and the private beach is nice but small. The restaurant at the beach club is excellent. I was not happy that of the two propane tanks only one was 1/4 full. They advertised this great bbq with smoker but no wood chips. Had to go 45 min one way to find some at Walmart. Not what I want to do on my vacation. The garage was advertised in the picture as empty but it has the owners car in it. All in all I think this is a nice unit and we enjoyed or time.

I must admit we have never used the BBQ as a smoker before so it did not dawn on us to have wood chips on hand, my apologies and I will let the property manager know about the spare propane tank being empty, that shouldn't have happened. As regards the garage however, the picture in the listing is simply to show what beach amenities we have on hand for our guests in the garage as the parking facilities for our guests is outlined on our website under amenities, as being one outside parking space is provided. I shall make sure to highlight this better on our website and will also include it as a reminder in our covering documents, and apologise for any confusion this may have caused. Regards, Liz PS. Lovely, well-appointed island home!

This unit is wonderful! First of all it is very large and feels more like a single family home or townhouse. It is nicely decorated with tasteful Hawaiian-themed decor and literally has everything you could possibly want or think of! The way this unit is situated makes it feel very private. We scarcely saw another neighbor. The property owner Liz, is delightful and super helpful without being intrusive at all. This housing division is very nice and is the closest property to the Fairmont Orchid Resort (which is where we stayed last year). It has the same construction and feel, so we felt like we were part of the resort! It's a 5 minute walk or so over for brunch and meals - which we did frequently. Highly recommend this property and we hope to come back! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING Liz!!!!

Libby's Mauna Lani condo is fabulous!

Absolutely gorgeous unit - beautifully decorated, well stocked, everything you would possibly want or need was there. We even discovered binoculars, although a day too late (hadn't thought to look for some before we took off for a little road trip!) Appliances were top of the line, and it was so handy to be able to use the washer and dryer. Ceiling fans upstairs and down were a plus. Definitely home away from home! Loved the security of the gated community, and both the pool and beach club were beautiful. Just had a wonderful time. We hope to make this an annual trip, and will book this same unit. Was plenty roomy, so will probably bring another couple with us next time. Thanks so much for having us, Ralph and Liz!
