This residence is one of the only new two bedroom homes to be built on the Kohala coast in the past five years. There is nothing like a brand new home with new furniture, new bedding and kitchen to make your stay absolutely wonderful.
This home provides a perfect setting for your Hawaii getaway and is well suited for couples or families up to 6 people.
We have been visiting the Big Island for over 14 years as renters and have observed best practices of 10 other owners to truly understand what sets the best apart. We have taken these collective experiences and sought to create a vacation home that we can share with you and that will set your new standard for excellence as well. We also love to share our tips and advice for great things to do and see in Hawaii.

• Big Island is such a wonder place to spend with your friends and family, children and grandchildren. Vacations create such wonderful memories; our hope is this trip will be one of your fondest family memories and that you'll return year after year.
This two bedroom home is fully furnished with a main floor bedroom (queen), a second floor master (california king) with private ensuite and a double sleeper sofa. The pullout has luxury linens and a 3' gel memory foam topper. The large dining room table will comfortably accommodate 6 people and there are plenty of dishes for those large gathering meals! The large living room with soaring 20' ceilings and views of Kohala Mountain is perfect for relaxing, playing games from our extensive collection, listening to music, or watching the large 55' LED TV with complimentary NETFLIX, Cable and AppleTV.
The main floor lanai, equipped with outdoor kitchen/BBQ, outdoor couch, and dining area is a perfect place to enjoy throughout the day. The upstairs private lanai off the Master is a great place for watching sunsets or enjoying your morning Kona coffee. The view is spectacular with glimpses of the ocean and majestic views of Kohala Mountain. Each lanai is tastefully furnished for your comfort and enjoyment. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, a new job, retirement, or simply celebrating the sunshine, our home is sure to create a great experience.

For your day at the Beach
We love building really big sand castles. Kohala sand is exceptional for this and we have the tools for kids and adults alike. For your day at the beach, you’ll find
• Comfortable Tommy Bahama beach chairs, beach mats, umbrella, sand toys and sandcastle making equipment, volleyball and football
• Large collection of snorkel gear in multiple sizes so you can share the wonders of the ocean
• Boogie boards to enjoy playing in the waves
• Life jackets, floaties for the younger ones
• Large cooler with wheels for picnics at the beach
Enjoy our collection of bikes (3 adult, 2 youth with helmets and locks) allowing you to explore the Mauna Lani resort. They are great for going to the Private Beach Club, exploring the Black Sand Beach, historical grounds, Fairmont resort hotel or the many other wonderful places that Mauna Lani has to offer. Ask us about deals on a GEM Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (Golf cart) rental for even more family fun.
For those with children
Having traveled with our kids when they were young we know how difficult it is to lug all the baby equipment. Our goal is to make your life easier so we have equipped our vacation home with :

Things to do
Staying in Kulalani gives you full access to its Recreation Center with fitness equipment and multiple hot tubs and lap pool, free form pool and kiddie pool. For a larger celebration, email the owners to reserve the covered Recreation Hale and outdoor kitchen for a private function (see pictures).
You can also take advantage of the clean private beach club staffed with lifeguards and the Na Pua Restaurant just two miles away. Excellent snorkeling in calm waters! We include at no extra cost a gate card to allow you access and use of this private Mauna Lani Beach Club.
We are happy to provide 5 bikes (3 adult, 2kids) for families to enjoy and explore the Mauna Lani Resort. We have a large assortment of bike helmets and bike lock.
A short drive away are the six(6) of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii including Beach 69, Halpuna beach and the breath-taking Mauna Kea beach.
The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven (7) challenging courses all within 7 miles of our villa. Tranquility Villa guests can enjoy discounts at the two Mauna Lani courses.
Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauni Lani where you can find super-market, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings.
A short walk from Kululani is the Fairmont Orchard Hotel. Make Tranquility Villa your home, extend your conference stay!

We love the amenities available at Kulalani and the proximity to so many amazing beaches. The 2-acre Recreation Village including 2 pools, 2 spas, a fitness lounge and outdoor hale for dining and relaxation have brought us hours of enjoyment. Tranquility Villa has huge windows that make our home bright and airy. Whether its resting and enjoying a lazy day or packing in lots of activities/adventures this area of the Big Island has it all.
As we were frequent VRBO renters for many years before we became owners, we've made every effort to incorporate all of our learnings into our home, so that you can have the best possible experience.

Very nice house and well equipped kitchen. Nice to have beach toys and bikes. Easy parking. Master is upstairs and isolated to a degree that is nice. Lanai's are really nice.
Super helpful staff - welcoming and pre-arrival was pretty easy. Wish they didn't feel the need to have another contract (DocuSign) beyond the VBRO agreement.
This was my 37th trip to the Hawaiian islands, and probably my 10th trip to the big island. Rather than staying in the Waikoloa area, we chose Kulalani at Mauna Lani as we are longer-term renters and wanted a quiet setting that would feel like home. Jeff and Suzanne's townhouse was beautiful, well-maintained, and CLEAN! We had a few minor issues, but phone calls and e-mails were promptly answered. The garage was chocked-full of beach chairs, beach mats, boogie boards, bikes, a cooler to take to the "warehouse store" in Kona.... and a wonderful drying rack for wet towels/swimwear (and my husband's scuba gear). The townhouse was well-stocked with cleaning/laundry products we've always found ourselves going out to purchase when renting other VRBO properties in the islands.
The two pools were very relaxing (albeit quite cold), but we enjoyed the private beach club. What appears to be a well-kept secret is the great sunset from Holoholokai Beach Park just a long walk/short drive away. We had very strange weather the last week of our trip, but it was fascinating to see the 3+ FEET of snow atop Mauna Kea (it was readily visible from the townhouse).
If you are looking for a quiet retreat (versus a huge, hectic resort), Kulalani is a great alternative! We have booked a return stay for 2017 and plan to make Jeff and Suzanne's property an annual vacation spot.
We stayed at Tranquility Villa from Sept. 15 - Sept. 23. Four adults stayed during this time. What an outstanding condo! We were all so pleased with the layout. Upstairs master bedroom with huge bathroom and peaceful patio. The queen bedroom and one full bathroom on ground level. We flipped a coin to decide which couple stayed in the master bedroom. It really did not matter as the condo is very quiet and each couple had privacy.
The condo is very well equipped from paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, spices, coffee grinder, and every baking and cooking item one could possibly need. Outside, there is a full barbecue station.
The condo is beautifully furnished and maintained. There are three televisions as well. In the garage there is an array of water toys and bicycles.
But, our favorite place to be in the early evening was the wonderful lanai. The comfortable furniture afforded all of us relaxation after our busy days on the island. We cooked most of our meals at the condo and played many games of Phase 10 into the evening.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tranquility Villa. Jeff and Suzanne were very easy to work with and immediately answered any questions we had prior to visiting the island. Also, Jeff and Suzanne sent out outstanding material regarding the Island of Hawaii as well as very easy instructions regarding information concerning the condo. We will definitely stay again, but we are fearful this condo will be difficult to book as people are going to request it again and again. Thank you Jeff and Suzanne.

Just completed four nights in this town home and we wished we had booked more nights here. It's stocked with all the amenities and top of the line stuff. Very spacious, easy access to pools, shops and restaurants. Definitely will stay here again on our next trip.
We've stayed at the Orchid a couple of times and now after experiencing this home would never spend the money on the hotel. This was a much better experience. The beach club pass was a huge bonus!!

Our family of 4 (two adults and two teenagers) stayed at this home for 8 nights. We felt right at home, the house was very clean and spacious. The home had everything we needed in terms of spices and pots and pans for cooking. We even utilized all the beach equipment available. The access to the Private beach club was great. Jeff was very prompt in taking care of any needs we had, all it took was a quick text when we had a minor problem with the AC when we first checked in but he took care of it right away. I highly recommend this home and we would love to come back!
