Typical Provencal house located on the outskirts of Salon de Provence in a very quiet residential area.

Private access from the entrance gate.

All rooms (3) are totally independent, each having its own bathroom and toilets. Pool (4X5 m) is totally private and child protected.

10 minutes walking distance from the city centre, the shops and the animation.

Salon is also perfectly well located in the heart of Provence at very fair distance from all the major touristic sites such as Aix, Marseille, Avignon and Arles + les Baux de Provence, the Alpilles, Luberon and Camargue.

The owner use to own a private 4 * hotel in the very nearby.

In high season, the rental can only be settled from Saturdays to Saturdays except specific request.

It is a perfect location well fitted for family and friends gathering.

About Catherine BOSSARD

I early started working in the tourism business and followed up in a luxurious hotel member of the chain of the Relais & Châteaux.

I work today on Yield management.

Being into the tourism activity, I have a fair idea of what people may expect in terms of holydays and always make sure my guests are entirely happy with their stay.

The house is therefore a lifeful place and not just a holiday residency.

Why Catherine BOSSARD chose Salon-de-Provence

Salon has always been an anchor for me for many years. My father had bought a former Romanesque monastery he had transformed into a luxury hotel which was, for a few years before that, a holiday place for the whole family. I settled in Salon in 1983 and took care of the management and development of the hotel. A big adventure for over 25 years! In 1996, however, I decided to settle out of the hotel to experience greater family intimacy with my husband and my daughter. I then bought a small house on the outskirts of Salon. The proximity of the city centre was intended to allow me to go shopping walking and easily drop my daughter to school. The hotel is now sold but I still live in Salon which remains also the residence of all my friends, and a strategic location in terms of proximity to TGV train stations, airports and highways. This is important as I travel a lot now.

What makes this house unique

The house is cute and architecture typical of the area. It is a recent place with all the modern equipment and comfort.

Intimacy is the key word, would it be in the house, or aside the pool.

The access from the street is all ground flat as well as the ground floor of the house and the handicapped bedroom.

This same bedroom has been rebuilt to allow the access for handicapped people. It has been too nicely decorated and has become the most preferred bedroom of the 3.

The city centre is very nearby; however, you will not be bothered by any of its inconvenience such as noisy events.

It is a perfect location for visiting Provence and enjoy local traditions.

All major touristic site, historical and leisure, are very nearby. Salon de Provence is a real perfect base for all sort of holydays.

Notes:
A house that is lived in the rest of the year and therefore highly comfortable with AC, full equipped kitchen, washing machine, laundry machine and dryer …etc… in one word, just a “real” house. A small pool but a real one into which you will enjoy splashing around with the kids. Child protected with a barrier.

A Beautiful Property Conveniently situated

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful week in this delightful house. This is primarily a home and as a consequence enjoys all those extras and comforts that distinguish it from a Gite rental. It is very stylised, beautiful furnished, spotlessly clean and decorated with a charming private courtyard type garden that includes a proportionately sized swimming pool. On the day of our arrival we were warmly greeted by friends of the owner who acted as managers of the house whilst the owner herself was on holiday so sadly we never had the opportunity to meet.

The house is very convenient for walking into Salon-de-Provence and we rarely had need to use the car other than for the initial supermarket shop and the odd trip out to The Carmargue, Arles and the Luberon Mountains which are all within easy travelling distance.

The only blight that prevents me from giving the house a full 5 star rating was the rather intrusive noise from construction works being undertaken to the school building at the end of the long private drive. This was unfortunate and obviously outside of the control of the property owner.

So to conclude - thank you so much Catherine for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house and please extend our gratitude to your friends Stuart and Ruth whose company we so enjoyed.

Thank you for saying so and mentioning Stuart and Ruth as being attentive to make the best they could welcoming the guests on my behalf. Stuart and Ruth had been wonderful taking care of my place while I was away on a long trip to the States. I just came back a few days ago and take now some time to answer back. I happened to be myself quite surprised when I saw the school had started some building works this summer. It is now over and back to quietness but there were apparently some nuisances over the deep period of concrete work. Luckily the house is not directly located too close to the school. I hope you will have another opportunity to visit and eventually over a short stay at some other period when I work it as a B&B's. Kind regards, Catherine B

An ideal house in the heart of Provence

An excellent description of the property! The layout was ideal for our family, which allowed for some privacy -- we much appreciated having washrooms attached to each bedroom. The property was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped and we greatly enjoyed having a space for outdoor cooking (BBQ with a counter and sink). The yard is well designed with a dining area under a beautiful vine, a lounge area under a tree and a sunny pool area (which was used daily!). The bed linens could be improved by having higher quality sheets and having at least one duvet for optional use. The proximity to the village centre was ideal and accessible within a short walk. We were well greeted by the owner despite our tardy arrival and were pleasantly surprised to have a few basics in the fridge (eggs, milk, butter, bread, coffee, wine). Catherine made herself available during our stay and quickly addressed our questions. She took the time to check in with us mid-stay and shared good suggestions for activities in the area. No hesitations in recommending this property to family and friends, which I have already done!

Excellent place! Highly recommended!

Catherine's house is absolutely as nice as shown on the pictures. It has a very nice atmosphere and is superbly equipped with everything one would need during a stay. The car can be parked on the property which is well secured and gives a good feeling for everything. The terrasse is super-nice and even though we made many trips we also liked to spend time just sitting there and enjoying the calmness of the place.

Catherine was also extremely helpful and even bought us some food as we arrived a bit late! She explained everything in the house and then took a lot of time to point out things that we might find interesting. And we did follow many of her recommendations and found them to to great!

Again: A great place and a great host! If you look for a stay in provence this is definitely a perfect place.

Tres belle maison bien équipée

Nous avons adoré cette maison à Salon de Provence. Tout était parfait.

Les chambres avec salle de bain attenante étaient confortables. Nous étions 5 adultes et la maison était spacieuse et bien équipée. Tout avons pu faire nos dîners et profiter du BBQ.

Nous la recommandons chaudement.
