We Loved Everything about this Condo. IT was Fully Stocked with anything you could possibly want, it has a Full Size Fridge With Ice-Maker which was very helpful to not have to run out and get a Bag of Ice. It has a Built in, Induction Cooktop that Boils Water in like 30 seconds. The Bathroom is Large with a 5ft Shower.

Great room, horrible building residents!

The room was very nice! The air conditioning worked, and the amenities were great. I was surprised with Internet and lots of little extras.

The thing that wrecked our trip was that I wasn't sent the detailed check iN rules from the owner, so the local residents of the building were really rude and angry with me. I was forced to ask someone in the building how to check in, and I was told to knock on a certain door. The woman there (208) was really angry and rude about telling me to call the owner.

Then the owner was really rude insisting she HAD sent the check in instructions, when SHE HAD NOT!!!

I paid more than for a hotel, but with zero hospitality.

Plus, there were threatening notes demanding I clean up and do laundry and take out the trash!!! What was the $69 cleaning fee for? Very rude. Very expensive.

Plus, I couldn't fit my SUP anywhere secure and they made me take it all the way up to the room and then someone else was angry and rudely demanded that I take it back down. We felt unwelcome.

Owner's Response: That is all so untrue. The check-in info was emaikedmto her 2 WEEKS prior to her arrival. Why would anyone not take it with them and arrive Without knowing and having the info with them to Check in? That is just plain stupidity on her part. So I do not know what she is talking about as you can see from all of the previous reviews. I really do not know what she is talking about. Maybe she just had a really bad day with her travels.

Great location and amenities, okay customer service

Pros: The condo is in a good location if you're interested in the downtown Kona scene - very short walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping. The amenities the owner provides are great - towels, scuba gear, sun screen and aloe (this came in very handy :)), kitchen equipment for a short stay. The condo and lanai are decorated well and inviting - the environment is very cozy and they do a good job of making a small space work well. The owner made some obvious updates and renovations and they look great, especially compared to a lot of the other condos in the area. The key lock-box works great for a check in process since it is a condo and there is no front desk.

Cons: We showed up a couple hours early to check in but no keys were in the lock box and the front door was open. We called the local contact that was provided in the paperwork to just ask if everything was okay for us to continue to check in that day (I was worried because it was a Saturday, everything was sold out, and if something went wrong with our reservation we wouldn't have anywhere to go). But she was rude and didn't provide any information other than "check in isn't until 4:00." Cleaners were there until literally 4:00pm. We understand the times for the check in/out policies and that you can arrange for earlier/later times with Gayle ahead of time, we were just a little disappointed with the local customer service.

Overall we would be willing to stay here again, just with better expectations that there will not be any customer service once we arrive (which again we understand, just a little disappointed).

Owner's Response: It is funny how these guests did not think the check-in times applied to them. So they tried checking in EARLY twice and that is why we don't place the keys in the lockbox until the cleaner is done cleaning. We have the check-in times detailed for a reason as that is when the condo will be ready as the cleaner has several condos to clean per day and several back to backs and just like these guests, they tried to Sneak In Early since they had the lock box code but we are prepared and the key is put into the lockbox once the cleaner is done cleaning the unit. If the Condo was not clean because these guest tried pushing their way into the condo early then they would have complained about it not being cleaned. ALL IN ALL the condo was cleaned and ready for Check-in at the Appropriate Time and Detailed on the Check-in Info. Gayle (Owner)

Everything was great except the...

My wife and I were visiting from the mainland. We were visiting family. We needed a place that was centrally located to downtown and surrounding areas. We had a car, but like to walk everywhere. We loved the place and location. This property was clean. Everything we needed was provided. There was a screened in lanai and the views were good. This place is downtown, so late at night there are a few people roaming around, but we seemed to be safe. The outside property was clean and well kept. I have nothing but good things to say about it except...the neighbors from downstairs smoked a lot. The smoke would drift in the morning, noon and night. Thank god we had air conditioning, but we didn't come to Hawaii to sit and eat or drink our coffee inside. That was the only draw back. Oh yeah and the great price was a bonus...

Location, location, location!

The condo is close to everything we wanted to do in Kona. It's clean, relaxing, and has a well-outfitted kitchen. I would definitely come back.
