Come and enjoy some peaceful relaxation in our lovely Lovelandtown home. Perfect for an extended family with young children or two couples. You can enjoy days at the beach, evenings on the boardwalk, or our favorite - simply relax on the porch with good company and cool drink.
Located on a dead end street in historic Lovelandtown our home is one of the original structures dating to 1888. It is steps from the Point Pleasant Canal and about 3/4 of a mile from the Bay Head beach. A 5-minute bike ride will take you to 4 restaurants, a fish market, a famous local bakery, a wine and cheese shop, a liquor store, 2 delis and the quant little shops of Bay Head. A 10-minute drive will have you at the Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk and Jenkinson’s Amusement Park for some great family fun.
The house is our home at the shore, we love it, and we are there frequently so it already has all you need for a delightful Jersey Shore vacation. There is full kitchen with proper pots, pans, and utensils, comfortable dining and living rooms, a nice garden patio, and a great screened porch. Bring your food, drink, clothes, and favorite toys. Everything else is already there.
In addition to the nearby beach, boardwalk and relaxing on the porch Barnegat Bay offers great boating, fishing and crabbing. You can take a stroll around Lovelandtown and Bay Head. Nearby Island Beach State Park (30 minutes by car) offers 9 miles of undeveloped barrier beach with amazing birds, fishing, and wildlife.
If you are looking for a nice traditional Jersey Shore vacation with the family our house is your perfect home base. If you’re looking to party with your buds and suds it’s probably not the place for you.

About Michael DeLorme
Were an easy going family of three (mom, dad, and 12 yr/old daughter). We have long and deep connections to the area and wanted to make sure we could let our daughter enjoy some of the same simple pleasures we did and develop the same love and memories of fun at the shore.
Michael DeLorme purchased this House in 1997
Why Michael DeLorme chose Point Pleasant
It has everything we love, close to the beach and sailing on the bay, a solid, comfortable old house with lots of character. A great porch, fireplace, nice outdoor space with a garden and enough trees to make mom happy.
What makes this House unique
Something about being there just makes us slow down a bit and relax.

Hidden gem down the Jersey shore
My family and I spent a week early in August at this property and absolutely loved our time there. The house sits near the canal in Point Pleasant, which is perfect for those looking to have a more relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of the beachfront. The Bay Head beach itself is a short bike or car ride away with ample street parking for those with lots to carry. The DeLorme's provide towels, linens, beach chairs, bikes, and so much more to lightening your carload. Such a great perk! If something isn't available, its a short 5 minute ride to the plethora of stores nearby. On that note the same can be said about great food and restaurants. I think our favorite portion of the house was the closed in porch that provided a wonderful area to sit in and feel the breeze at all times. I highly recommend renting this house if you're looking for a great Jersey beach vacation.
One additional note. For those taller individuals like myself, at 6'6", there are quite a few lower doorways and lighting fixtures that will require some ducking as this house was built back in 1888. However that doesn't take away from the true beauty of this classic home.
This property was perfect for us. Comfortable and easy.
Michael is a gracious host, very attentive and responsive. Everything we needed was supplied: porch for long breakfasts, well-stocked kitchen to prepare said breakfasts, bikes to get us out in the community, comfy couch and tv for evening relaxation. We will be back!
Comfortable and Quiet with easy access the the chaos!
Comfortable historic home with great living space -- lg LR, eat in DR, a glorious wrap around screened porch, and good sized landscaped yard. All the conveniences of home, and all you need for a day at the beach (towels, umbrellas, chairs, etc). About a mile from Bay Head beach, ...so car, bike (provided), or sturdy legs needed to get there. But very close to canal for fishing fans. Michael was great to work with and very responsive to questions or needs. If you want a place right at the boardwalk with all that activity, this is not for you. If you want a place to relax while being fairly close the all the activity this is a great house!
perfecy family get away
very comfortable home has ever thing you need. Quiet street, walking distance to food and fun, will go back.
