We stayed from 3/9-16, 2016. Sandra is a very nice hostess and responds quickly to any questions. The villa is spacious and clean. Short walk to beach. Convenient location near golf and shopping.
A very enjoyable stay. The general setting of the compound is great in itself, but the specific location of that villa on a second floor and a more secluded area with green space across it makes it perfect for relaxation. Sandra makes sure her villa is well-stocked. She can be reached if anything comes up. The villa is much larger than the pictures convey. The beach was great. Pelican-watching was an unexpected bonus. We had a fabulous time and would love to return.
I returned from Lakeside Villas last week (7/09/2015). We stayed a week. We loved the place!
Here are the best parts:
1. Private, quiet place. I cannot stress this enough, as many places in PR are quite noisy (and I say this as someone who lived there for a long time).
2. Each bedroom has a bathroom, and there is an extra bathroom in the common area. The master bathroom has a double-sink!
3. The pictures don't do justice to the place. It is very spacious. The bedrooms have incredible walk-in closets! The second bedroom is a lot nicer and bigger than it looks in the pictures.
4. The balcony is awesome; we fought over the hammock all week.
5. Just a short walk to the beautiful beach, and to the very nice swimming pool.
6. Very safe place. The security staff went around the complex regularly and were very helpful.
7. The sheets and towels (and beach towels) were great. The master bedroom king bed was very comfortable.
8. Everything was very clean and we had a nice welcoming package.
9. They have beach chairs that were very nice.
Things that can improve (and why I didn't give it a 5 star rating):
1. The kitchen sink could use a replacement.
2. The refrigerator was (or at least looked) very old. Those two items detracted from a very nice kitchen.
The electricity in PR is very expensive, and you have to pay extra if you exceed the allowed Kilowatts per day. We left the a/c running all day only 2 of the 7 days we were there and ran up our bill quite a bit. I would recommend to not run the a/c at all during the day.
I definitely recommend this villa. Sandra is a great hostess and the place was wonderful!
My family and I absolutely loved lakeside villas. Private beach, pools, tennis courts. Beautiful area. There is grocery store nearby, plus many nice restaurants. Sandra is a gem to work with, responds quickly to any requests. Her place is a little dated, but everything was very clean. Hotel quality linens and towels.
Great value. (Have to have a car)
I spent a week with my wife and two teenagers "children".
Everything was perfect and exactly as described by Sandra, the host. We spent time together as a family, relaxing at the beautiful and well equipped deck and other times the main pool adjacent to the club house.
We felt we had the whole Lakeside complex for us... so private quiet, relaxing and with access to the beach where I enjoyed lengthy swims and walks.
Definitely a must go if you are planning a special holidays looking to relax in a superb place and well spoiled by the host.
Here's why you should stay at Lakeside: The neighborhood was beautiful and secure, we felt very safe there and all the culs de sac made it perfect for taking a morning run. You have access to a picturesque private beach and three pools on the property. The main pool has a clubhouse that provides a nice shaded space if you need a break from the sun, clean bathroom facilities, and tables/chairs. It's not too far from the airport (about 40 mins) or modern conveniences (Walgreens, grocery stores and restaurants about 6 min drive away) but you feel completely removed and isolated in a lush beach side jungle. We felt like we were staying in a resort, but we had all the privacy, space and convenience of staying in a condo.
Here's why you should stay at Sandra's place: Sandra was very kind, welcoming and very easy to get a hold of. She was a great hostess! Her condo is beautiful and had everything we needed/wanted to enjoy our stay. The master bedroom had a brand new king sized bed that we were very comfortable in. The following things were provided: towels (beach, bath and dish), a well appointed kitchen (every tool you can think of, mini coolers, and lot's of food storage containers which came in handy for packing for the pool/beach), soap (hand, body, dish and laundry), nice quality and clean sheets, pillows on the beds, propane for the grill, and paper towels/napkins. The wifi was reliable, fast and we never had any problems.
My husband and I were traveling with our 8 month old daughter who goes to bed pretty early so it was important to us that we stay somewhere that had two separate bedrooms and a nice outdoor space so we didn't have to tiptoe around after she went to bed. This condo was perfect for that. The patio was probably our favorite part of the condo. The outdoor furniture and hammock made this such a relaxing place to spend our evenings. It was just the three of us, but you could comfortably stay here with three or four couples.
Can't wait to stay here again someday!
