About the property

3 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Beautiful River Views

This is a cozy and bright getaway in the Berkshires. 3 bedrooms and 1 loft, comfortably sleeps 6 people, can sleep up to 10. Living room and dining room have lofted ceilings and big windows overlooking the Deerfield River. Full kitchen, laundry, and 2.5 bathrooms. Radiant heating keeps the house wonderfully warm in the winter, and the breezeway is the perfect place to relax in the summer.

It's a quiet, family house and we are looking for quiet, respectful guests.

Situated in between Shelburne Falls and Charlemont, on the historic Mohawk Trail, this house is ideally located near quaint New England towns, activities for all seasons (Berkshire East Ski Resort, Zoar Outdoor Whitewater Rafting, and miles of beautiful trails in the woods all within 15 minutes of the house). Plenty of delicious dining options nearby.

The house was built in 2003, and the lumber was milled at the Hall Tavern Farm--which is just down the road from the house! The construction is entirely mortice and tenon (no nails!) and has spectacular woodworking features. Contact us if you'd like a tour of a working farm, including a sawmill, big barn, and 400 acres of woods.

Washer, dryer, and dishwasher. TV and DVD player.

No cable. No Wifi.

About Owner / Property Manager

My siblings and I share ownership of this house, which our parents built in 2003.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Central Massachusetts

This house is cozy and bright, nestled away in the Berkshires, and surrounded by such wonderful scenery and people.

What makes this house unique

Radiant heating! Proximity to many different activities, and also to solitude and relaxation, depending on your mood. The house is new, so it has many modern amenities. But it feels rustic and traditional.

The house is charming! Warm and comfortable with just anything we needed to host our family

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Lisa's home.!

It was large enough to host our family for my son' graduation The breezeway was large enough for the college kids to play corn hole because the weather was not cooperative

The house has a huge backyard with a swing and you can see the river from the living room window

Any utensil you might need was there and condiments if I forgot ours

I forgot a few items and they went out of there way to send them to me

I would definitely recommend staying here with your family!

Perfect Spot

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay at this house. It is in the perfect location between Berkshire East and Shelburne Falls. The house is beautiful inside and suited our 2 families perfectly. Everything was clean and Cheryl the caretaker was always available and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

An architecturally beautiful home, high ceilings, all native woods, gorgeous setting among fields

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely few days at this home in the Berkshires, set high above Route 2, surrounded by fields. It is stunning and functional.

Beautiful gathering place for family!

  • 5 of 5

The only thing more beautiful than the home are the grounds. The back yard overlooking the river was so peaceful. We really enjoyed the book collection, some funny stuff!

The greatest drawback was the small kitchen but it worked fine, especially when we used the grill for cooking. It was very well equipped.

The owners were pleasant in all our dealings. We only rented two nights but wish we had more time to take in the area.

Family fishing trip

  • 4 of 5

The trout fishing was not up to par this year (although my oldest son had pretty good luck), but the family time in the evenings were great. The house serves us well. We are (6) men that includes grand father, fathers, and grand sons. We cook in (mostly grilling), play a lot of cards, have a few brews, and just enjoy our time together. The sleeping, bathrooms, and lounging accommodations are perfect for us. This was our second year at this house.

Beautiful, unique, & convenient

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over a long weekend to ski and enjoy Shelburn Falls. Wonderful experience. The home easily accommodated our group of eight including four children. Beautiful and unique, the home is very well situated for both activities. The kids loved exploring the yard as well. Will be back!
