Overlooking formal gardens with reflecting pool & fountain, this location (just off of Wianno Avenue) is a convenient 1/2 mile each way to a our most charming village with great shops, dining, and two beaches: Dowses or 'Baby Beach' at the end of Wianno Avenue.
Two little Pugs (Merriweather and EmmaDora) are in residence along with the owner in the main house but separated from the guest area.
Alas, there are no offerings in Osterville in the way of a B&B or short term accommodations, other than the private Wianno Club, I hope this will be a special offering and memory for you.
Please note that there are NO KITCHEN facilities …however shops & dining/ take-outs are only a 1/3 mile away.
There is a small 4 cup coffee maker , so bring your coffee and enjoy the summer LR in the morning!
A native of charming little Bridgewater, Connecticut (Litchfield county) & NYC, my heart has long loved the Cape since childhood visits in Osterville- Oyster Harbors. Like so many baby boomers, I returned to my memories!
Interior design is my not only my career but a total passion. This property, once a tear down and bad news all the way around, reflects my love for the houses 'once loved then forgotten'. In addition to interior renovation, the landscaping efforts have now made a beautiful and very private little haven that is a joy to share with others.
C HARRIS purchased this studio in 1998
Too pretty not to share!
Who could wish for a more charming, upscale village than Osterville….and lovely Cape Cod. Come… Make a memory!
As a senior lady traveling alone to Cape Cod, I was so pleased to find Cynthia's little guest house and 'summer LR'! What a total gem in every way! Plus Cynthia is such a gracious hostess (like a good B&B) and honors your privacy to whatever you might need!
I felt SO, SO safe, which is very important to a single lady (a widow after 47 years)… You look out and see greenery or gardens everywhere or just close the plantation shutters and feel so so cozy! And Osterville is the picture perfect village (as Cynthia calls it) with upscale shops etc….walk to town & restaurants- loved Five Fay Bistro!
So, with neighboring little Pugs, designer surroundings, landscaping plus lovely reflecting pool everything makes for a most delightful oasis and warm memory!!!
Cynthia was very accommodating and kind. Her two pugs were awesome and spent a lot of time out on the porch with us. Her backyard was unbelievable with the landscaping and the koipond. If you wanted to relax and unwind it had the feel of a tranquil environment. The bedroom was nice but was a little small for two people. Cynthia has signs for everything so be sure to look for those. For instance don't leave the air conditioner on after you leave...very smart. The beach is not too far and has a beautiful golf course to look at on the way there. Its better to walk there than drive. Theres no parking pass for your car so good luck finding parking at Wiano Club down the street from thr beach. All in all it was a great location. I would recommend this as a nice place to stay in Osterville.
From my first email to Ms. Cynthia to the goodbye that my friend and I shared with her when we left, Ms. Cynthia has been an amazing host. Her emails prior to my trip were sweet and very helpful. Recommended me places to check out and detail directions.
The guest house looked just like it does in the pictures. I would recommend it for a couple or just for one person that needs a getaway. Ms. Cynthia was friendly for the beginning. Kindly offering coffee, water, and a route for my friend to run on. I was there for a wedding and due to a hiccup my date would have to take an Uber to the wedding but Ms. Cynthia was around and kind enough to give her a ride.
With a beach 10 minutes away and the village less than 4 minutes drive, this location can't be beat. I would gladly to stay in the guest house again. Ms. Cynthia is the host you want every time you stay at someone's place.
This quaint cottage in Osterville was charming and well located. We were able to bike to breakfast and the beach in only 1.5 miles. Our hostess greeted us warmly with wine and water, who could ask for more.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Cynthia's place in Osterville. Truly a wonderful location and Cynthia was an excellent host. She went the extra mile to ensure we were warmly welcomed and even took the time to give us a short tour of Osterville and the other surrounding small towns. It's a short trip from Cynthia's to main street Hyannis where we spent quite a bit of time and also where we caught the fast ferry to Nantucket for a day trip. Thanks for that advice, Cynthia! Crisp is a true gem in Osterville as the gourmet pizza was delightful. Would stay here again if we make it back to the Cape!
This guest house is clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated! It is set on a private road next to the owner's main cottage in a beautiful garden setting. Cynthia has obviously taken much care to maintain this wonderful guest house. You will love the privacy and the gardens and koi pond surrounding the guest house - peaceful and zen-like. The location is perfect - just a short walk to the center of everything in Osterville. Cynthia is a wonderful hostess!
We stayed in Cynthia's beautiful, cozy summer studio and absolutely fell in love with her place. The pictures on the site are lovely but even better when you're there. The cottage is an easy walk to beaches and the center of town. Besides the beautiful setting, her little pugs were a joy and Cynthia was such a lovely hostess. Her place is a hidden gem and we'll return again and again! Thank you so much!!!
