Your home away from home! NoPa is a neighborhood where you can immerse yourself in the rich history of San Francisco. You will be surrounded by San Francisco's famous Victorian houses. So much that even San Francisco tour buses have regular stops in the area. The neighborhood features a unique balance of family life and hip dining scene.

This 3 bedroom / 2 bath unit is located in a three unit Victorian house. This unit has everything you need to feel at home, including:

- 32 inch HD TV

- Expanded cable channels

- High speed Internet via Wifi

- In-unit washer and dryer

- Backyard deck and extra large garden (Note that this is not private space. It is shared by three units). Usage of the BBQ grill is first come first serve.

- High end mattresses and bedding for a comfortable sleep

- Fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher

- Sofa pull out bed

- 2 full bathrooms

The neighborhood is highly sought after even by local San Franciscans. It is charming and has all living essential stores within walking distance, including: Bi-Rite Supermarket (featured in Martha Stewart Magazine for their unique ice cream flavors), Madrone Art Bar, ATM, bank, dry cleaners/laundromat, copy store, hardware store, restaurants, bars, etc.

Tourist attractions include: the Painted Ladies, Alamo Square Park, Golden Gate Park, etc. It is centrally located to San Francisco tourist attractions and one block away from 4 major bus lines and 5 blocks away from 8 bus lines. You will find Zipcar stations within 3 blocks. You do not need a car.

Parking is not available with this property. However, there is decent amount of street parking. Car is not recommended as parking is expensive in the city and public transportation is really good. The city is small and packed and so taxi fare to most tourist attractions are within $20/ride. If you do need a car, there is a zipcar lot 2 blocks away. You can rent car by the hour or by the day.

Moscone Center is 2.9 miles away. Bus lines 5, 6, and 21 will take you directly to the center and 30 minutes door-to-door. A cab ride will be less than $15.

Clean & simple but noisy

The house was cute, nice updated bathrooms, good kitchen, simple furnishings but overall ok for a short stay. The patio in the back was great. Unfortunately, we didn't know that the house is on a busy one-way 3-lane street - it was soooo loud! We couldn't use the front bedroom at all. I couldn't fall asleep with all the traffic noise. The house does not have double-pane windows and the front door does not seal right so the noise just comes right in. My husband & I ended up on the pull out sofa. The other 2 rooms are back from the street so those were better (although still not quiet). So bring your earplugs.

A bit dated, but near the action

The property has adequate space for 6 adults, but is a bit dark, dated and worn. The noise from the street is completely distracting around the clock in the front bedroom, making it difficult to sleep. The yard is a mess; it's not enjoyable in the least for all the weeds and overgrown shrubbery (even a fallen tree). All of that said, the location is good and parking on the street is relatively easy. The owner is very nice.

Not as pictured!

We rented both units for a week. The second floor was clean and fairly well maintained although the blinds in the family room were broken and didn't open so we had to sit in the dark all week. The first floor- different story: The walls were very grungy and grimy. The refrigerator was broken, the toilet tank lid didn't fit and kept falling off and finally broke. Unfortunately, we are paying for the broken lid because although it didn't fit, it did break during our stay. The back yard was a complete mess - nothing but dead plants and weeds (maybe due to drought, but should still be cleaned up and maintained) and the outside furniture is mildewed and dirty and the deck desperately needs some upkeep. The grill has never been cleaned. The owner is blaming my family (75 year old grandmother, three teenage girls, and their mother) for the break in the toilet lid, the grime on the walls, and ceiling, and the broken fridge, and therefore not refunding our deposit. Owner is also saying we put pin holes in the walls, completely false, we hung nothing up on the walls and didn't bring any pins with us for our trip to SF! She wrote me a very blasphemous note. Because we lived in the grime for a week without complaining, we are paying for it. I am quite confident the owner doesn't visit the place between stays so beware and take pictures of all the dis-repair as soon as you arrive.

Loved My Stay Here

This property was perfect for me and my family. The beds are oh so very comfortable, the living area is homey, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the garden is amazing. We spent a lot of time in the garden because it was so pleasant. The location is very central and many conveniences are well within walking distance. The owner was terrific to work with and responded to questions quickly and completely.

Great location & size for family of 5

2 adults & 3 teens - great location to explore city of San Francisco - close to Muni bus stop which we used extensively. We purchased a City Pass which included all Muni transportation, this seemed to be a good deal since we planned to visit 2 of the activities that were part of the Pass. We had a vehicle, but were able to park across the street & left sitting for the entire stay. Appartment was clean, had newer appliances and two bathrooms is always a plus for our family. I liked the location & area better than Downtown. Would stay at again & recommend to others.
