Cabin 16 is a 3-BR/3-BA slice of heaven located at the end of the road up in the forested hills. The cabin is completely surrounded by the woods. Direct and immediate access from the cabin doors to the Ojibwe single track MTB trail that links into the whole CAMBA mountain bike trail system, the Westside snow bike/snowshoe/Nordic ski trail, the Grand Traverse snowshoe and hiking trail, and the World Cup/John Bauer ski trails which link into the whole Birkie and North End Ski trail system. You can literally bike, ski, hike, or snowshoe for days right from the cabin. ***WE ARE BASICALLY A SELF-CONTAINED, PRIVATE RESORT: ASK US ABOUT OFF-ROAD BIKE and SNOWSHOE TOURS, EQUIPMENT RENTALS, and APPAREL SALES THRU OUR AFFILIATED COMPANY, UP NORTH GUIDED TOURS, LLC. About Josh Washlow, Managing Member of Lone Wolf Real Estate, LLC
Spent summers during the 1980s on Lake Owen. Love the area. Small scale hospitality specialist, local trail advocate, fat bike rider, snowshoe enthusiast, canoeist, outdoor adventure business owner and operator, and most important, family man. I blend higher-end accommodations (Cabin 16) with top shelf wilderness outfitting, guiding, and transportation services (Up North Guided Tours, LLC).

Beautiful place. We really enjoyed the cabin, skiing and snowshieing.
We enjoyed being able to snowshoe and ski right out the door. The kitchen was very well equipped and we also enjoyed reading about the history of the area in the coffee table books. We really appreciated the extra effort from Josh and Matt to get us snowshoes on Saturday afternoon.
Thank you Pat! So glad you and yours enjoyed our hospitality and recreational services. Please come again, Josh
Large cabin and great private location in the woods
Located in the beautiful woods. Right on a trail and near a golf course. Went on a few runs as the area is beautiful and quiet. Only 30 minutes to Hayward. Loved the large screen in porch. Only negatives I would say is you hear everything in the cabin if you have people staying with you. Cabin is not very sound proof. There wasn’t a lot of extra sheets, towels, etc. I would recommend chairs for by the fire pit and more firewood. Overall great stay and would stay again!
Highly recommend this cabin. Big bedrooms, kitchen is stocked with all cooking essentials, large living room space downstairs. There was tons of snow with snow shoe trail right out the front door. We have already booked another stay here for next winter.
Thank you David! We'll be ready for you next Winter.
perfect cabin for a ski weekend up north!
Loved the cabin and access to ski and snowshoe trails. Cabin was great for our group of 6- very cozy and lots of space. Had a wonderful time :)
Perfect Ski In/Out in Cable
Great log cabin right in the middle of the North End Ski Trails. Plenty of snowshoeing on the Old Telemark Resort trails and the North End Snowshoe Trails. Lots of room for six people. The only thing we were missing was a nice cozy fireplace. We will definitely go back both in the summer and winter.
So glad u enjoyed and took full advantage of what the cabin and location offer! U r welcome back anytime. Enjoy!
Wonderful cabin. Spacious.
Very cold weekend. We skied anyway.
Thx Barbara for the nice comments. Glad u liked the cabin.
Here is a list of the outdoor activities we like to do Up North: Mountain Biking, Fat Biking, X-C Skiing, Snowshoeing, Sledding, Hiking, Swimming, Canoeing/Kayaking, Boating, Water Skiing, Camping, Hunting/Fishing, and Snowmobiling/ATVing. We like to swim in Lake Perry and at the Picnic Grounds at the North end of Lake Owen. We like to eat at the Rookery (higher end), Rivers Eatery, The Brick House, Lakewoods, the Sawmill Saloon, and Anglers. We get our food for the cabin at Lynn's, the Ideal Market, and Rondeau's. And we love visiting the Cable Nature Museum.
