With a spacious layout comprising 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and more than 1600 sq ft of total space, you will truly feel like you are on vacation as you set foot into this spectacular home that will delight your senses with its warm, tropical Hawaiian ambiance. With room to sleep 4 in beds, and one on the living room couch, you will find the right amount of space, whether traveling as one or two couples, or a whole family.
We have been visiting the Big Island for over 10 years and have learned over time what truly makes a vacation rental a home away from home.
This two bedroom home is fully furnished with a king size bed in the master (California King) with a private ensuite bath. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with its own private bath as well along with an office set up just in case you need to do a little work during the trip. The large dining room table will comfortably accommodate 6 people and the gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glassware, and all that you would need for the nights you choose to dine in. The living room features a comfortable sectional couch, sitting chair, and a large TV with an expanded cable package including a DVR so you do not have to miss any of your favorite shows while out enjoying the island. There are also TVs in each of the bedrooms.
The main floor lanai is equipped with a top of the line Viking outdoor kitchen/BBQ that is perfect for grilling the fresh catch of the day or fresh vegetables from the market. The upstairs private lanai off the Master is a great place for watching breathtaking sunsets or enjoying your morning Kona coffee. The view is spectacular with glimpses of the Pacific Ocean and majestic views of Kohala Mountain.
The recreation center at Kulalani is arguably the best on the coast, and boasts 2.5 acres of lushly landscaped lawns around two pools, jacuzzi spas, workout facility, and BBQ pavilion. While you could spend the whole day there, you'll certainly want to get out to see the private Mauna Lani Beach club as well, where you'll have full access to the private parking lot for residents and their guests. The beach there is one of the best for snorkeling, while the adjacent ancient fish ponds are a great place to explore and walk around. You will find the Beach Club to be beautiful and fun. To help with your enjoyment, we have provided beach chairs, boogie boards, a beach umbrella, a cooler, and two cruiser bikes.
In just minutes, you can either be at over 40 shops and restaurants in the Mauna Lani Shopping Center, at the Fairmont Orchid, on the beach, or strolling the most luxurious and scenic waterfront in the world at sunset. Native Hawaiian cultural experiences await. From historic petroglyphs to turtle preservation and eco ponds and trails, you will not run out of exhilarating and interesting things to do all within short walking distance.

We live on the West Coast, and try to make it to the Big Island as often as we can, with the intention to someday make it our permanent home. We are very active outdoors people, and love the golf and fitness opportunities that a climate like Hawaii's has to offer!
Kulalani has the perfect blend of privacy and connectedness that we were looking for when we purchased our Hawaii home. The units are designed in such as way that you don't feel your neighbors crowding in on you like with some condos, and yet it is easy to get to know your neighbors. There is a good mix of full time residents, part time residents, and vacationers here, so there are always new people to meet. The rec center at Kulalani is one of the best, if not the best, in the resort, and it's great to spend time there after a day of golf or kayaking.

We had the pleasure to stay at this little paradise. Contact with the owner was very uncomplicated and convenient. It really hurt when we had to leave.
It was a very easy place to get to the Mauna Kea Hotel and back especially for the half Ironman event. We had an issue with the roaches in the dishwasher. I opened it and they all came out of the dishwasher. It was gross but I called the property manager and he got someone there right away and fixed the problem. The house was beautiful. However,we could not control the air conditioning because the thermostat was all remote controlled at someone's computer off site. It was very frustrating because it would turn off at night and during the day and it was so hot since we were there at end of May. Size of the kitchen was great. Location is great.
I just want to say my family and I had a wonderful vacation. The condo is very nice and professionally decorated. The grounds are very well kept and the pool area is grand. We had everything we needed in the condo and all the stuff for the beach as well. We will definitely be back. We love Hawaii and the Big Island and look forward to our return.
