Welcome from the Nagata ohana to yours! Thank you for taking the time to consider our Island home for your next Hawaiian vacation!

Our 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom condo at Kulalani has all the comforts of home, in a central location overlooking the spectacular Rec Center that is the best in Mauna Lani! With a lap pool, free form lagoon style pool, kiddie wading pool, and two spa jacuzzis, the Rec Center is an oasis in and of itself, and with the workout gym, bbq gathering pavilion and huge grassy lawn, you'll find everything you need here for a great family time.

Our home is set up to sleep 4 people in the two bedrooms, with an additional sleeping area for 2 in the pullout sofa downstairs. With two bathrooms in the bedrooms and an additional half bath located downstairs, you'll have plenty of space for the family to bathe after a long hard day at the beach, and get ready to go out to dinner at one of the nice restaurants that the Shops at Mauna Lani offers.

Of course, with a gourmet kitchen set up with everything you would need to cook for the whole family, you might find yourselves staying in to eat most days, to get the most out of your Hawaiian vacation. Prepare some Spam musubis to take with you to the beach, or perhaps bentos (lunch boxes) with freshly caught local fish, and you'll be all set to head out for an adventurous day!

About Kai Ohuchi

Robb grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii and always knew Hawaii would be HOME. His wife Kelly is from Texas and she immediately fell in love with the Big Island. Their young family consider Hawaii their second home and try to make it back as often as they can.

We chose Kulalani because of the developers reputation for quality and luxury. Another reason was the fantastic pool and rec center that our unit overlooks, which is a great place to hang out all day!

What makes this townhome unique

We are located in a quiet gated community overlooking the pool, facing the ocean. we are ideally located between the Mauna Lani Resort and the Fairmont Orchid Hotel, and a short walk to the Shops at Mauna Lani. In addition to one of the most diverse vacation destinations on earth (where else can you experience snow, ocean, desert, and rainforest all in one day), this property provides access to a private beach, world class golf courses, fine dining, and island entertainment all on the Mauna Lani Resort property.

Comfortable home away from home

Our family of four enjoyed our stay! The condo was spacious and comfortable with all the amenities of home. Both pools at Kulalani as well as the private beach access were great and provided hours of fun! The owners and managers of this condo were great and easy to work with!

Happy but could have been better!

Overall our stay was very pleasant. The unit is in a great location and the layout makes it nice for a family with kids. The furnishings were very sparse and the

decor was less than average. Although we had most everything we needed, the beds were not that comfortable, sheets not of good quality, and we originally had limited towels and no bath mats. The property was well maintained and very close to the pool and hot tub. Bert/Kai were very helpful and made our stay very nice.

Beautiful condo in a lovely community

This 2 bedroom, 3 bath condo was much nicer than the pictures showed. The rooms were large and comfortable with high ceilings. Very comfortable king size bed in the Master BR. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the garage had every beach toy and equipment imaginable. Kai provided us with everything we needed. The beach at Mauna Lani is lovely, a small lagoon, and safe to swim and snorkel. You do need to drive 5 minutes to the beach. The pool area was right by the condo and was really beautiful too. All in all, a great place to vacation!

Perfect home base

We loved this Kulalani property and the Mauna Lani community. It's a very upscale serene place to relax after a long day of activities. No crowds anywhere and we often had the pools and jacuzzis to ourselves. Kai and Burt made check in and out a breeze. The home was clean and had so many extra touches making our trip special. Everything from linens to kitchen stuff to BBQ utensils to full supply of hand, body, laundry and dishwasher soap for our ENTIRE stay. Lots of beach towels and a cooler bags and ice bricks for packing lunch. The Beach Club was awesome... private and uncrowded with some of the best snorkeling on the island. You need a car but you have to have a car to see EVERYTHING the Big Island has to offer. This area has the best weather on the island, best beaches and the less VOG. We recommend this place especially for families that want to cook a lot. Well equipped kitchen, big full size fridge with ice maker and your own Viking grill on patio. Just a great place to come home to every night.

Great value and location

Fairly private and quiet townhouse in Mauna Lani Resort, close to grocery shop and recreation area with pools and gym.

Needs a car or bicycles to get to the beach; by foot it is a long walk in the heat. Lovely beach and snorkel spot with fishponds and gardens - very romantic and tranquil.

House is clean and user friendly, also the bedrooms are awkward for sleeping arrangements, if not one family with kids. Second bedroom very hot to sleep and only single beds - not ideal for couples. All bookings and arrangements worked well other then some more information re gates (keypad is having problems and gets stuck), keys, and recycling removal would be helpful especially as one arrives at midnight from oversea flights. Managers were helpful and accommodating. Bonus: there were kids toys to play and this was great for a 3 3/4 year old as a guest. Definitely recommendable to family and friends. I will book it again if I come back and the price is right.

GREAT PROPERTY

I highly recommend this condo. This unit has the best views from upstairs of the pools and sunsets! Very clean and has everything you need. This was a great location for both traveling all over the island or just staying close and using everything around you. Great beaches and shopping within walking distance or a short drive.
