Detached 4 bedroom villa in Collioure with heated swimming pool (10m x 4m) and pool house, incorporating summer kitchen. Large terraced garden with lockable gate to swimming pool area at the top of garden, which commands superb views over the vineyards. The villa is privately located at the end of a drive with parking for 2 cars. There is also a garage. It is a 12 minute walk to the centre of the town with its beaches, numerous restaurants, bars, boutiques and galleries. The villa is very well appointed with a choice of 3 separate outdoor dining areas. Fully equipped kitchen/dining room with French doors opening onto large rear terrace. Living room with French doors opening to private terrace at the front, where there is built-in barbecue. The villa is ideal for 2 families with children. 2 x double bedrooms, 1 x twin room and 1 x 3 single bedded room. 2 of the bedrooms have ensuite shower facilities and there is a large family bathroom.

The swimming pool is located at the top of the garden and is accessed through lockable gate. Pool depth is 1m/2m. Pool/breach towels are provided. There is parking outside the house for 2 cars. There is also a garage at the foot of the drive.

Spacious house, well furnished, very pretty garden

The house is much nicer than the website photos indicate. The main rooms are very spacious with nice comfortable furniture. The house sits on a steeply sloping site with a landscaped terraced garden rising up to a pool house above. It gives many little corners for both sun and shade, with a splendid view across the valley from the pool house. Although as we were there in November it was more sun than shade we wanted! The owner was very helpful, giving detailed notes and recommendations.

Collioure is a gem and very beautiful, particularly in late season when it is calm with cool air and plenty of sun. The house makes a good centre for walking with many interesting routes nearby, with lots of paths and lanes leading through the vineyards above the town.

I would also recommend Mas Cristine for the wine, Le Neptune for lunch, Restaurant Dali is unprepossessing but serves excellent grilled seafood.

I promise you won't want to leave!

We've just torn ourselves away from our 4th annual visit to this lovely house in the beautiful Collioure and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Set in a stunning location, this house has everything you need to feel it's a home away from home. Superbly equipped, spacious and light and clean. There's great wifi if that's a must, and even English TV if you want to keep up with the news (or the soaps!).

Collioure town centre is a short walk away and has tons of places to eat, shops, galleries and the beaches if you're not a pool person. If you buy too much to carry back from the twice weekly market or the supermarket and don't have a car there is nearly always a taxi at the rank which will take you back to the house for just a few Euros.

I've stayed in Collioure for over 12 years and this is my favourite place to stay. The full kitchen and bbqs give you the opportunity to experience the most amazing produce and wine that the region has to offer....

Carol who owns the house will leave you every instruction and recommendation you could need, so you will be in very safe hands If you need her assistance at all.

This place is a little treasure which you won't want to leave!

Detached 4-bedroom house with pool and views

Carol's house is set in a superb, beautiful garden and is set in an elevated position well-away from the very quiet road. The landscaped garden and pool are wonderful and have views across the valley and to the foothills of the Pyrenees. Well equipped, clean and comfortable, the house has everything that you could possible need for a week or fortnight in Collioure. The pool is particularly welcome as the temperature touched 32 degrees whilst we were there. Located just a 12-minute walk from Collioure centre (where there is a supermarket and bank, the house also has plenty of terrace space in which to sit as well as off-street parking. Catalan-flavoured Collioure itself is great. Achingly picturesque, with a huge choice of restaurants, shops and safe swimming right on the town beach, its people are hugely friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic week there and hope to return soon. UK-based owner Carol was extremely professional and immensely helpful with local tips and advice. Thank you Carol!

Beautiful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Collioure and the house was perfect for our stay. The house was comfortable, had a well-equipped kitchen, and an excellent location. The property landscaping was just beautiful, we even picked and ate almonds and fresh figs! I would most definitely recommend this property for your stay in Collioure...what a treasure.

We keep going back!

We have just returned from our third stay at Carol's house and are already wondering when to return next year! We love the house and feel at home as soon as we arrive. The house is comfortable, extremely well equipped and the garden and pool feel so secluded and peaceful is hard to tear yourself away. It is only a short walk into the town where there are restaurants galore, interesting shops and a twice weekly market. Everything you need for a lovely relaxing holiday!

A well located Villa

We truly loved the villa, garden and pool and with Collioure only a 10 minute walk away, it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have been on. Collioure you can't help but fall in love with, from the small shingle beaches to the restaurants and tapas bars, the art galleries and winding little back streets. Although we did venture out a couple of times in the car once to mas Christine for essential wine supplies after sampling a few! And a trip into Ceret for a leisurely lunch which was a treat. All in all a great villa in an amazing place. We will definitely be back.

The historic Mediterranean fishing village of Collioure is the jewel in the crown of the Languedoc Rousillon region, situated on the Vermilion coast - the pretty ribbon of sandy beaches and rocky coves at the foot of the Pyrenees. Discovered in 1905 by Matisse and Derain, who found its colours and light dazzlingly beautiful, it soon attracted other artist's, such as Dali and Picasso and became the inspiration for the art movement known as Fauvism, which embraced bold and vibrant colours

Nestling in the foothills of the Pyrenees, it is surrounded by vineyards. The brightly coloured Catalan boats in the harbour are watched over by the 17th C. Eglise Notre-Dame-des-Anges, the Fort St-Elme and other ancient city fortifications. The Chateau Royal dominates the centre of the village and the narrow cobbled streets and squares around the harbour are filled with restaurants, bars, galleries and boutiques

Local produce is available from the colourful market on Sunday and Wednesday.
