About Kent Maples
Our family is from East Tennessee. We live just 20 minutes from Stone's View. We stay there often, and continually look for ways to upgrade and enhance our guest's stay.
Kent Maples purchased this House in 2012
Why Kent Maples chose Dandridge
Dandridge exemplifies small town USA; it has a proud, unique historic past and is protective of its heritage. My wife and I love to take walks; we're entertained by the cities nuances and in awe of the lakes natural beauty. We find it very convenient to have two marinas within 1.5 miles to rent various kinds of boats and accessories. The public boat ramp is less than a mile away for those who have their own water craft.
What makes this House unique
The view captured our interest in Stone's View. If it's having your morning coffee and seeing the sunrise or having an evening cocktail with a special someone watching the sunset, you'll be sure to create memorable moments taking in the view.

Best experience I have had with VROB. Property was as advertised and owner was great to work with.
Home was very clean and perfect for our family of 15. Would definitely stay here again,
It Doesn't Get Any Better!!!
One of the best vacations my family and I have had! From the get go, Kent was wonderful and accommodating. The house is great with spectacular views! Plenty of room for a large group. The kitchen is equipped with anything you may need to cook at home. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and even a hair dryer. Plenty of parking at the house and the public lot across the street worked out great for 2 boats. Even the neighbor across the street was very helpful. The best part about the property, aside from the views, was the convenience to launching our boats. The Dandridge boat dock is just 1 minute away with plenty of parking and very easy to maneuver. This was our first trip to Douglas Lake and certainly won't be the last. When we get to go back, we will definitely want to stay at this property again. Nothing else to say other than....it doesn't get any better!!
Perfect for family fun.
The view from the back of this property is beautiful. Even with a full house there was plenty of space. Our family enjoyed sitting on the patio under the stars. We will always have a very special attachment to this property. Kent Maples was a pleasure to deal with. House was very well stocked, during a four week period we stayed in 5 different properties and Dandridge was by far the best. Thank you Kent Maples..
This is a beautiful house - very clean and wonderfully decorated - with an amazing view of Lake Douglas and the Appalachian mountains beyond. The owners were lovely and very quick to respond to our questions. The large stone patio had a great outdoor fireplace and plenty of seating for our large group. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the extra downstairs refrigerator. Our group will be back. We would give this home10 stars if we could!!
Great property and owner was great to work with! Would definitely stay here again!
Our home is located in the historic City of Dandridge overlooking Douglas Lake. Being Tennessee's second oldest city, you will find that Dandridge has its fair share of history. Dandridge was named in honor of our country's first First Lady, Martha Dandridge Washington. It is a National Historic District. The city's most iconic building is the Jefferson County Courthouse. It was completed in 1845 in Greek Revival architecture. This is one of the many historic buildings you can see from our front porch. Four of the original taverns highlight the walking tour of the historic district. Dandridge provides a delightful mixture of old and new. The courthouse contains a free museum displaying historic artifacts from many area of Jefferson County. Maybe one would prefer a carriage ride of the historic district based from a cafe where you can also utilize their high-speed wireless internet connection. Tinsley-Bible Drug Store is celebrating their 103rd anniversary.
This old fashioned drug store takes you back to “when times were great”. Guests are served breakfast and lunch at their old fashioned soda fountain
counter and booths; just across the bridge from down town you'll find a full service marina that allows guests to rent boats, wave runners, skiis and more.
ESPN hosts two fishing tournaments each year that validates the lake's great reputation for fishing.
From your house, walk down town to hear free concerts from local artists as well as buy locally grown produce at the farmers market on Saturdays.
The Nation's most visited National Park is just minutes away including Pigeon Forge which offers Dollywood theme park and water park, the second largest outlet center in the US (Tanger Outlets), plus much much more.
