Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
The property is 1/2 a mile from Old Bend downtown, and along the Deschutes river trail, that borders the community. Our mornings started with our 3.5 year old yellow lab pawing us at 630am, and pleading to be walked down the river trail, which we didn't mind, to be honest. The walk is stunningly beautiful, as the trail meanders it's way alongside the river.
Coffee shops and cafes are between 1/4 mile to about 1 mile from the property, and we choose to drive as the highlight of the day was nature walks and hikes all around Bend and the surrounding areas.
The condo unit is a delight to get back to, after a long day's hike. The unit is well provisioned, neat and tidy, and made a great hang out space for a family of three with modern finishes, two baths, a kitchen/living space and an ensuite master bedroom.
Parking wasn't a hassle as there were plenty to choose from right in front of the property. Only thing to bear in mind is the building doesn't have elevators, and the unit is on the 2nd floor.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your property as we explored beautiful Bend!
We really enjoyed the unit's modern look, the bed was very comfortable, and it was close to a number of excellent restaurants. Would definitely recommend!
We had such a great visit here and we intend to come back again. The property was clean and warm (the fireplace was a really cozy touch!) and the location was right in the middle of everything. We could walk our dog right out the door, into the neighboring park, and for miles along the Deschutes River Trail.
There was a big fridge for all the food we picked up at the local market, or the leftovers we had from the fantastic Pizza Mondo. Two bathrooms let us both take baths at the same time, the king-sized bed was comfy, and the kitchen had all the pots, pans, and utensils that we needed. Downtown is in walking distance, and pretty much everything else is just a 10-minute drive.
Some minor points:
* The wifi was a problem at first because it was left unprotected, so everyone in the building could use it. Once I added a password ("Unprotected") we were suddenly able to stream Netflix again.
* You'll definitely need to bring your own cooking staples if you plan on using the kitchen. No salt, pepper, cooking oil, or anything. Either bring it yourselves or expect to buy it at the local market.
* The unit is on the second floor and there are no elevators. If you are elderly or otherwise disabled (or have a very old pet, as we do) then you might want to consider a ground-floor unit instead.
Those were *very* minor issues and I still rate this place 5 stars for pet-friendliness, location, comfort, and price. We'll definitely be coming back.
This condo is in a perfectly central location; easy access to downtown Bend. The condo is very clean and well stocked. Only issues were pretty poor insulation (could hear the neighbors above and below in the evenings) and the front door lock is insanely hard to use! But overall, this place was perfect for our family weekend getaway!
Overall, this adorable condo was great for our family of 4. It was nicely stocked for us to cook our meals and the full-size frig and freezer were awesome. The fireplace was a fabulous feature!
(Btw, someone staying there just prior to us left their iPhone earphones in the bedroom and we just left them where we found them.) We left some additional cleaning supplies we purchased under and on the sink. (Unfortunately, our children contracted the stomach flu on the flight there, and we were confined to the condo for our entire stay; so, for us, having access to extra garbage bags would have really been a nice addition.)
I was disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance and it appears that they had been closed for quite a while. It would have been nice to know this prior to booking and prior to arriving as our children were really looking forward to using these facilities.
Just fyi, the bedding for the futon is located inside the living room footstool. It took us a while to figure this out. For the price and the location, this place is great!
