Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and additional toilet, sleeps 6

A pretty, south-facing, wisteria clad, cottage-style villa set in an acre of olive terraces and with beautiful views over the surrounding country and across to the hills to the Esterel National Park. Only fifteen minutes’ walk along a quiet country lane to the many shops, restaurants and market in the village of Fayence, yet on the edge of some of the finest walking countryside in the area. With living all on one level, the house has two double bedrooms and one twin, a bathroom with toilet plus a separate toilet. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans. The house is newly furnished and well equipped. The recent addition of full double glazing and a wood burning stove together with electric radiators make it ideal for low season rentals (Winter lets at long-term rates are available). At the lower level is a separate garage, laundry room and games room with drinks fridge. A large terrace leads directly to the swimming pool. Recent innovations include broadband wi-fi and free telephone calls throughout Europe and pool heating.

Local Activities .: Fayence boasts a new Cultural centre with indoor and outdoor theatres presenting theatre, concerts, ballets and films throughout the year. In addition there are exhibition rooms for art displays. The municipal tennis courts and swimming pool are a five minute drive from the house. There are many golf courses, including Terre Blanche. A newly established Health Spa is proving to be popular. Fayence itself is a famous international gliding centre offering trial flights for beginners as well as a truly spectacular gliding environment for experienced pilots. Horse riding is available locally and all levels of walking can be found in the surrounding countryside. All forms of water sports are to be found on the magnificent Lac de St Cassien within fifteen minutes drive of the Villa.

Local Colour: Fayence has a colourful local market in the village square three times a week. Here you will find local pottery and fabrics as well as fresh vegetables, cheeses and local specialities. Near-by is the local Marché Paysan (Farmers Market) which is open six days a week in the summer. Farmers from the local area bring their own produce fresh each morning to the market. Produce rarely seen at home can be found - white aubergines and courgettes flowers, for example. Eggs sold here are fresh from the hen and you can pick your own salads from a huge variety of leaves. Browse around the shelves of farm produce for locally made cheeses, wines and preserves.

Further afield : Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez, Juan Les Pins and the other fashionable resorts of the Cote d'Azur are all within easy reach from Fayence but the coast gets extremely busy in the summer and those who prefer a more leisurely environment may prefer to explore the historical villages in the region - Mons, Callian, Bargemon and St Cezaire. The Gorges of Verdon and Siagne are wonderful sights.

Beautiful Home - Perfect Pool!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 have just had a fabulous stay at this lovely French property. Well equipped, clean, great location, beautiful pool and stress-free! Perfect position in the hills not far from a beautiful leisure lake or the coast and beaches. Jo was a pleasure to deal with and we would recommend a stay in this house!

Dream holiday

  • 5 of 5

This property offered our family everything we wanted. Nice pool with plenty of sunbathing space, a large balcony with spectacular views, inside three good size, comfortable bedrooms with ample facilites, a cosy lounge/salon, a spacious kitchen and outdoor barbecue. With complete privacy, we felt one with nature looking out on forrested terrrain. On our last day two deer appeared in the garden before continuing their journey into the wild, that was the icing on the cake. We would definitely like to return again and again to this little peace of paradise.

The property manager was very helpful and accommodating.

There is a choice of large supermarkets not too far a drive a away and the surrounding perched villages of Tourrettes, Fayence, Seillans among others are worth a visit. A beautfiul part of France.

Fantastic cottage and well located .

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place! Fantastic cottage, had everything that we needed. very clean and well maintained. Swimming pool lovely. Location perfect as away from it all but walking distance to Tourettes and Fayence for local bars , restaurants and shops. The coast is about 35 minutes away and the lake only about a 10 minute drive which is well worth a visit.

We were well looked after as property is very well managed. Wi-fi excellent so children were happy!!! we will be back!

Love this villa

  • 5 of 5

If you want a place to chill out and relax this is it.

Alternatively if you love exploring it will not disappoint either.

The villa is clean and well presented and has everything you require for a one or two week holiday. It is in a quiet location with lovely views to the canyon below and is within walking distance of Fayence - the return walk being harder due to the hill climb as you come out of Tourettes. Several supermarkets are in the area but beware early/late season when they are not open after 13.00 on a Sunday. We arrive on the Saturday to get around this or you could catch an early flight and get to the shops before they shut. Alternatively eat out on the Sunday evening!!! The villa was ready on time (earlier than the 4pm time given). We have returned to this villa several times and this year the bedrooms have been newly decorated and the outside given a lick of paint and some new sun loungers. It is an ideal base for getting to the coast should you wish to visit St. Tropez/Cannes/Frejus etc and Nice airport is a 40 minute drive. Access to the gorges can be achieved as a day trip and the kids can go to the lake nearby for pedolos and boating + there are brilliant walks in the area. There are a variety of restaurants in Fayence ranging from an expensive but excellent Mitchilin star one to others that provide pizza/kebabs and plat du jour.

I would definately recommend this villa to friends and relatives.

Attractive Villa in quiet location

  • 4 of 5

Spent a very enjoyable week in this well appointed villa in a quiet position; beautiful views from the large terrace across the valley to hills beyond. Equipment levels excellent throughout - even a kettle! Driveway entrance very tight if you have a largish car so take it slow. Interesting walks up through ancient Tourettes to Fayence (about 15 mins) with plenty of local restaurants small 'Casino' shop and regular market. Supermarkets a short drive away. Lac Cassien and hill top villages worth a visit as well as the coastal towns - all within easy drive. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore this beautiful area of France.

Wonderful Villa

  • 5 of 5

Family of four, children 14 and 12. Great location, peaceful, less than a mile from Fayence town centre. Lovely pool, with alarm for peace of mind. Great facilities, free wifi and phonecalls to landlines in Europe. The playrooom under the house also has a tv and dvd player for siesta time. A choice of three big supermarkets within five miles. Clean, tastefully decorated accomodation. Overlooks a valley which houses the European glider centre, restful and interesting watching the gliders. Lots of scenic walks in the area and places of interest. Lots of restaurants in village Spot on
