once again many thanks for a hassle free holiday , we had a lovely time in your villa the weather exceptional. We took Bob's brother and sister in law this year
and they were amazed with your villa and the area. We enjoyed the village life and since last year a new cafe flora and fauna serving excellent juice.

A modern superbly appointed villa with good sized pool. The surrounding views were stunning whatever the time of day. The village was unspoiled and quiet but with good restaurants and market shops for everyday essentials. The locals are exceedingly friendly. A thoroughly recommended stay.
I have just stayed for five weeks in this beautiful villa with its own private pool in the delightful village of uzumlu. The villa itself is in a fantastic location just a few hundred metres from amenities yet in a very quiet location surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery. Anne, the owner was lovely to deal with and very helpful. If you don't have a car there is a regular Dolmus bus service which will take you into the town of fethiye where you can also pick up other buses to surrounding areas like oludeniz, calis etc all just a short ride away. However if you don't feel like venturing out of the village.... The village has a number of good restaurants and cafes which are very reasonably priced, and local stores for any provisions you may need. I can highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere quiet to stay.
Uzumlu is a wonderful place to stay and olive tree villa offered the perfect accommodation. Well positioned close to the village with wonderful views. The villa is very well maintained with everything you need. The pool and garden are idyllic and fantastic for the kids. Would definitely return and recommended to anyone.
The villa was very comfortable for our 14 night stay with a lovely garden and it own pool. Pool was a bit chilly in early May so didn't use it too often. A short walk takes you into the village (Uzumlu) where everybody was very friendly and only too willing to help with any questions. About a 20 min drive to Fethiye on good roads. Thoroughly recommend the villa and it's peaceful location. Anne was a pleasure to deal with and gave us lots of information regarding local places of interest, where to eat etc
We are an Australian family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 11. This villa and location was perfect! Anne gave us all the information we needed to have a perfect holiday. Uzumlu is the perfect retreat but close enough for some day trips to the beach, boat trips and The Saklikent Gorge which is a must! We frequented the Wine house restaurant and loved it, can highly recommend it! You definitely need a car! You will not regret your stay! Absolutely amazing!
The Villa was everything we hoped for...and more. Amazing location with views to die for. The lovliest village....where we found everything we needed. The people could not have been friendlier or more helpful. It was so wonderful to explore the local area...the ruins at Cadianda....which is a good hike away...were spectacular...definitely worth the effort.
Plenty of places to get good local food....and even English Breakfasts...if you were so inclined.
We loved the garden and the built in outside BBQ and found all that we needed in the village store.
The fresh hot bread from the Bakery was dangerously good.....and when we needed a change of scenery it was so easy to hop on the bus to Fetiye.
We highly recommend the Villa and are looking forward to a return ttip.
Uzumlu, named after the grape vine, is a typical Turkish village with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains, well known for its local wine and is recognised as an area of outstanding natural beauty .
The village is quiet, traditional and unspoilt with very friendly locals, and several good restaurants with terrace views of the wonderful local sunset. Cadianda with its historical remains and well formed amphitheatre is within walking distance from the villa on the hillside to the rear.
The villa is private but not isolated and stands at 500 metres above sea levels and 200 metres from the village centre. It is a very short walk to the shops and amenities.
The villa is fortunate to be surrounded by fabulous views and looks onto the mountains in the distance a vineyard to the rear with an olive grove to the front including fig and walnut trees. The olive tree in the garden is well loved by the locals and is over 1000 years old and makes this villa special, providing welcome shade if required at the height of summer.
In summertime when the weather is extremely hot , Uzumlu benefits from a gentle breeze making the area popular for the turkish wishing to escape the summer heat in Fethiye
In the village and you can find a variety is small shops, a post office, ATM, wine bar, coffee shop, hair salon,Internet cafe and variety of restaurants. There is a bakery selling fresh bread and pastries baked freshly each morning and a local Friday market selling local fresh fruit and vegetables. Although a car is recommended to see the wider area there are sufficient shops in the village to buy all needs for holiday makers not wishing to drive.
The local bus links the village to nearby Fethiye with its Marina. Here the local restaurants are able to cook fish caught locally as well as providing a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy the fantastic food. There are excellent shopping opportunities with an old quaint part of the town as well as a more cosmopolitan area with a harbour lined with good restaurants.
Fethiye, Calis, Oludeniz and Kay koy are the nearest towns. Calis has a good beach front with the sat club restaurant terrace overlooking the bay and is ideal for a special meal watching the famous sunset Olu Deniz with it,s world famous beach and blue lagoon is within easy reach by car/ bus. Kay koy is steeped in history' with Russell Crowe filming there currently.
Gullet cruises which are extremely popular and boat boat rides to Butterfly Valley or 12 Islands gives the opportunity to explore the Turqoise Coastline. There are a good variety of local unspoilt beaches nearby that are well worth visiting, All are exceptionally clean with shallow clean waters and offer boat trips and water sports. From Fethiye daily boats trips can be made to the Greek Island of Rhodes.
Kalyan and Kas are 2 well known resorts that can be visited by car and some guests choose a 2 centre holiday, coming to the tranquility of Uzumlu for a second week after a lively beach town break.
Dalyan with its famous turtle beach and water rafting or Saklikent with its famous Gorge make excellent days out. All areas are accessible by car or can be booked by trip with local pick up in the village square.
Other Activities: Turkish bath. boat trips, historical sites of interest, jeep safari, mud baths, water sports, boat hire, trekking, paragliding.
