This recently built fully furnished 2 bed apartment is situated on the urbanization of la Herrada, overlooking the salt lakes and la-Laguna nature reserve. Easily reached from Murcia, 20min or Alicante 30 min. The apartment is perfectly situated for beaches, villages, towns and countryside. There are 6 golf courses within 15 minutes and the famous la Manga golf complex is only 30 min drive. Torrevieja is 4 miles away and has something for everyone. This bustling resort boasts a stunning seafront promenade stretching for miles, a fabulous port, and an abundance of excellent restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment overlooks the salt lakes and has a wonderful climate with 340 days sunshine every year. On site there is a swimming pool and children’s play areas. There is a supermarket on site, and also a few bars, also under construction are the commercial centers which will contain numerous bars, restaurants and shops.
Golf courses: Golfing: a brand new golf course has opened (Oct. 2009) at vista Bella which is only 5min drive from the apartment. We are well positioned for golfing breaks, as we are within a 20 min drive of six excellent local courses. You will need to book in advance usually by email from the UK. The courses are: La Finca, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, La Marquesa and Villa Martin, its also possible to play La Manga but this is about 1 hour by car. You might need proof of handicap at some courses, min 28 for men and 36 for women, but some will allow you to pay an insurance to play. (I have never been asked for proof as yet) Buggies and in some cases clubs can be hired. Spring and Autumn are good times to play as the climate is ideal.
Recreation and beaches: Recreation: The local beaches of Guardamar & La Mata are stunning blue flag standard with fine white sand and lots of beach sports available. Along the beach you will find cafes and bars and on the beach vendors selling everything from ice creams to fresh fruit, parking is free along this coast at nearly all the beaches, to the north the coastline tends to be rocky so keep south for sandy. Within 10 min of our apartment is a fantastic aqua park well worth spending a day at also locally is a Safari park Go karting, boat trips and Nature reserve, which is a must for bird watchers as many migratory birds stop off to feed. This is where the biggest flock of Flamingo I've ever seen are to be found, and there are observation towers to view them from.
nightlife: Nightlife: Evenings offer a wide choice, from sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine or a beer to strolling into the village and enjoying a variety of restaurants, tapas bars and cafes. There are a couple of bars and a very good restaurant (called New Ternasco)which is famous locally for roasted meat dishes appealing to tourists and locals alike,you will need to book for Sunday Lunch, approx 300 m away. A taxi ride away is the town of Torrevieja which has many restaurants and tapas bars,a casino, bars and clubs open until the small hours, Plus many bars and restaurants to suit all tastes,The Venue which is a ten minute drive away does a meal at weekends with tribute acts from the UK. Plus many bars and restaurants to suit all tastes but please be considerate of the neighbors if returning late.
my wife and i have been married for 42 years and have lived in the rochdale area most of our lives apart from a 5 year stay in canada.our dream is to move to our apartment in spain when the time is right,until then we are happy for guests to use it for a nice vacation in a beautiful part of the world.

we think our property offers great value for money alongside cheap flights from the uk and other countries.it is surely a beautiful part of the world.
as well as being the healthiest place in europe to live due to the salt lakes the area is well served by numerous beaches only a short distance away.
we have rented the apartment twice and have found it to be clean and tidy on both occasions. The roof terrace is brilliant for private sun bathing and the pool is across the road which is great for all the family. The area is quiet but there are excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance. A car is advisable if you want to explore surrounding towns and beaches. There is a supermarket on site which is well stocked with a good variety of fresh food ie; fresh fish, meat, fruit and veg to suit everybodys tastes at very reasonable prices. I would rate my experience at this property as being excellent.
Overall the property was clean and tidy. The pool is great and just a short walk around the corner as is the Supermarket and two Restaurants/Bars. Wi Fi is also available at the MoLounge Bar which is a 5 min walk away. Los Montesinos is a quiet sleepy town but the square is a lively place on a Saturday night with Live Music till late . We highly recommend Bobbie Jos Bar for dinner. A rental Car is a must to get to the Beaches and other attractions of the Costa Blanca.
i found the apartment to be ideally placed for a perfect holiday whether you are a beach lover or enjoy the rural aspects.it is set amongst the lemon groves yet is only around 10 minutes drive to some fantastic beaches.the town of los montesinos is typically spanish and everyone sits around the square in the evening with drinks.the property is very clean and well looked after, i really enjoyed the private rooftop solarium and am looking forward to my next visit
Our family was made up of two adults and one 8 year old disabled daughter.
* Property description was generally accurate and property was of a good standard plus the shared pool was a good benefit
* The customer service and local greeting arrangements were very good

* There are many lovely attractions within easy reach by car & good local facilities
* We found one or two of the surrounding families/holiday makers were noisy late in to the evening on occasion
* Over all we enjoyed our weeks holiday very much and thank Glynn for his help and hospitality.
my wife and i had the pleasure of staying at this apartment in april 08 and i must say we had a great week there. it was spotless inside and out, the solarium is a real sun trap while the balcony is somewhere to escape the heat with a cool beer. the town of los montesinos is a smallish town but we found no shortage of bars and eating places. the beaches are great as well especially la-zenia. would definitely stay again
The property was as described, well maintained and very clean. The solarium on the top floor was very spacious and great for relaxing, sunbathing and watching the sun set with a G&T. The swimming pool is directly across from the apartment and this is also well maintained. There is a fantastic beach about 10 mins away, and we found a good selection of bars and restaurants in the local village, Los Montesinos. We will definitely stay at this property again.
The typical Spanish village of los Montesinos is a 15 min stroll through the lemon groves, here you will find numerous bars and restaurants. The El Paso bar in particular is recommended for a lively night of karaoke and live music. A hypermarket complex is 10 min away where you will find Carrefour, Aldi, Lidl, McDonald's, also the Habeneras shopping center with numerous shops, restaurants and bars. The bars have a good atmosphere and a late closing time of around 5am.you could also visit the ozone leisure complex for a game of tenpin, enjoy the casino or watch a movie in the 8 screen cinema. The coastline consists of miles upon miles of magnificent beaches and Spanish villages to visit all within easy reach of the apartment. The resort of Guardamar is 7 min drive away and is a favorite of the Spanish people and has retained its Spanish atmosphere. It is famous for the 9 miles of sandy white beaches and blue seas. There is a nature park to stroll around and a marina on the river Segura.
Golf: The apartment is handily placed for 6 fantastic golf courses at las-Ramblas, Villamartin, Campoamar, Bella-vista and la-Manga.
