A spacious and bright, well furnished and equipped apartment situated in a quiet residential area of Lagos. The apartment is on the first floor and there is a lift. The spacious living/dining room opens on to a wide balcony with pool views and plenty of space for dining. The two bedrooms open on to a separate balcony. There is one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and one twin bedroom with a separate bathroom. The apartment has a communal swimming pool and a designated parking space in a subterranean car park with garage remote key for access. Sun beds are provided for the apartments use by the pool. This apartment will provide the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable family holiday.

The apartment is also ideal for Winter breaks due to it having central heating for the cooler evenings. Central vaccuming is also a convenient feature of this property. The kitchen is fully equipped including dishwasher, washing machine, coffee making facilities etc.

Getting There.: Assistance with car rental can be provided, competitive rates available.

A great base to explore Lagos in the autumn

Storm Orphelia may have dampened the weather & the fires 'up-north' in Portugal may have clouded the skies, but that didn't stop the enjoyment of another visit to Lagos, where our appt was a willing accomplice.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the appt, which is on the first floor of a courtyard style complex, as usual quiet in mid-october. The balcony faces inwards overlooking the patio & swimming pool, which is good as the outside view is of a less salubrious part of Lagos; while the noise from the road below each of the bedrooms disturbs a little when the shutters are open.

The advantage of being this close to town of-course, is that you can wander into the old town in the evening & enjoy the plentiful restaurants, without worrying if that was your first or fourth glass of wine !

The appartment has everything required to ensure a great holiday, from web based TV to a parasol for those beach trips, if I had to be hypercritical some of the equipment is due an update or replacement eg the barbeque, but that is being really picky & I'm sure is in hand for the 2018 season.

There are far more positives than negatives to report such as the superfast broadband which works in every room including the veranda, secure underground parking & a properly equipped kitchen with an super efficient fridge for chilling those Super Bocks for evenings on the veranda.

The only thing which would put me of returning is the lack of air-con, although not a problem in October.

Communications with Veronica the owner worked well, and despite arriving late in the night, the instructions guided us straight to the door and we gained entry without drama.

In a nut shell we were sorry to go home as we love Lagos, and would certainly use this appt again.

Great base to explore Lagos

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment and it’s space and facilities were pretty much what we hoped for. Good spacious bedrooms, good powerful showers, full kitchen with gas hob and electric oven.

The only downside to the apartment was that the big terrace only received the sun in one corner for around half an hour due to its N/NW facing but this is beyond the control of the owners and just incentivised us to go to the beach. The terrace is great for Al Fresco dining though.

It is located around 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Lagos and around 15-20 mins walk to the marina, and train/bus stations and Meia Praia which is one of the best beaches in Portugal.

We found out during our trip about the Algarve coast train service which will will certainly consider using next time we fly into Faro. We visited Portimao on the train (cost of €4 return) for a morning and it was a great 20 minute journey.

Great apartment in the heart of Lagos.

Well equipped apartment minutes from the old town walls making everything in easy walking distance of beaches, supermarkets, shops and restaurants of which there is a huge choice. The underground parking was a bonus but a car isn't necessary if you are happy arranging your own transfers.Joining instructions were clear and easy. Liked it so much we have already rebooked for next year which is something we haven't done before on regular trips to the area. The only minor downside comment I would make is that the BBQ was tiny so we had to forego the usual cremation activity and as our bed at home is a superking size the standard double in the main bedroom was cosy. That said, overall a great place making a super holiday. Thank you Veronica. Au revoir!

A lovely, very spacious apartment.

We have just vacated the apartment (Sept, 2017) and the only reason I have not given 5 stars is due to there not being air conditioning but, it does have 2 upright fans in the bedrooms. The whole apartment was very spacious and had everything one needed to have a great stay in Lagos, exactly as stated in their page on Owners Direct. The balcony was the size of a good sized double bedroom and it was great having sun loungers as well as table, chairs, a clothes airer and still have space to move around!! We must also thank Veronica who was extremely helpful from the start of our booking till the end. I would certainly recommend this apartment.

Home from home. Everything you need incl. beach towels. High standards. Central location so easy to walk into town and with having a garage there's no parking issues. Best Chicken Piri Piri in Lagos nearby, Figueira's, and also handy for Prato Cheio restuarant with great value, top quality lunches and dinners (Lunch €8.50 - 3 courses incl. a drink).

Situated on the coast in the western Algarve, Lagos is an unspoilt, pretty town dating back to Roman times. It has a rich history, whose evidence can still be seen today in the imposing city walls, beachside fort, and glorious church. This is one of the few towns in the Algarve that still retains its traditional Portuguese charm.

The apartment is situated at the top of Rua Infante de Sagres, a 5-minute walk from the main square of Lagos where you can find an abundance of restaurants, bars and boutiques set amidst the winding, narrow streets of the old town. A further ten-minute stroll along the promenade, past the bustling market, brings you to the marina and fishing harbour where you are spoilt for choice with more shops and restaurants. At the far end of the promenade is Meia Praia, a long sandy beach where there are plenty of beach bars and restaurants plus sailboard rentals and water sports on offer. Smaller, secluded beaches can be found.

Golf: The nearest golf course is Boavista Golf Course, 1 mile west of Lagos. Palmares Golf Course, 3 miles east of Lagos, is partly a links course and highly regarded. About 10 miles east of Lagos is the famous Penina Golf Course designed by Henry Cotton. Ten miles to the west of Lagos is the more recently designed Parque de Floresta Golf Course.
