This large 2-bedroom apartment is a delight to come home to after a long days sightseeing and window shopping. Located on the first floor (2nd floor for North Americans), the apartment overlooks rue Custine, one of the most interesting street in Paris to walk through. Though facing the street, the double-glazed windows give you excellent insulation against any daily passerby.
The apartment has been tastefully decorated in vibrant colors, which catch the natural light streaming into the apartment. As the view is not obstructed closely by another building in front (as many building are in Paris), you benefit from the sunlight and can enjoy your morning breakfast a the wooden dinning table which extends to seat 6.
In the living room you will find a sofa bed that sleeps two. We also have installed a flat screen TV with cable (as well as a dvd player and some dvd's) and have high speed internet access for your laptop computers so you can remain in touch.
Through the French doors just off the living room is the master bedroom with its inviting queen-sized bed. For added privacy we have put up curtains than can be drawn closed from within the bedroom across the French doors. This is a well appointed space with a large wardrobe and large windows facing south out onto rue Custine.
The second bedroom at the other end of the hall can be set up with either 2 single beds or one queen size bed just let us know what you need.
Also off of the main hallway are the bathroom and the separate toilet so there is no need to enter a room to access the facilities. The apartment is 65m/sq on the first floor (2nd story).
The kitchen is fully outfitted with a full size refrigerator-freezer, an oven, a five-burner range and griddle, a dishwasher, a microwave, a Nespresso machine...
The apartment is fully supplied with bed and bath linens and also has a washing machine and a cloth dryer for your use.
This apartment has all that you would need and more to make you feel right at home, living in style in Paris.
After more than 10 years abroad, I decided to come back to France and Paris where I was born. I really appreciate living again in Paris, city of light! I am the company manager and take care of the bookings, the check-in, check-out, manage the services proposed during our guests' stay and coordinate with the apartment owners... In Feels Like Home in Paris we have decided to offer you only cosy and comfortable apartments which all have the same services : iPhone for free, laptop, cable TV, wifi, international calls for free during your stay, a personal greeting on arrival, a full welcome basket...By greeting you, it is ike welcoming friends. So à bientôt à Paris!
I would say instead "Why using a professional agency?" To make sure to get what you expect on arrival : a property perfectly clean, somebody waiting for you an arrival, someone on call 7 days a week...So it will really make your stay smoother and easier!
Six of us spent the first week of June, 2009, at this well-appointed apartment in the heart of Montmarte. We were a family of five plus a friend and ranged in age from mid-40's to low 70's. The owners provided useful information regarding the area including restaurants, nearby sites, metro and bus stops, and walking tours. You are in the middle of a Parisien neighborhood with excellent bakeries and grocery stores. Sacre Cour was within walking distance and there is a small village surrounding it which has shops, restaurants, bistros and interesting people to watch and chat with. Accommodations were excellent, every thing we needed was provided, the apartment was spacious and provided sleeping arrangements for six adults in two bedrooms plus a fold out couch in the living room. The next time we are in Paris, we will use them again. We would definitely recommend this apartment to others. It was more convenient and less expensive for our group than a hotel.
This apartment was in a great location if you want a neighborhood feel with easy access to all Paris has to offer. The surrounding streets are filled with cafes and bakeries. We watched a soccer game outside with the local residents just across the street from the apartment. The Metro is an easy three blocks away. Rue des Abbesses, which is filled with restaurants, is a 10 minute walk away. Several groceries nearby, allowing us to make good use of the kitchen. We received a lovely welcome basket upon arrival. Great communication from the property managers. A couple of small cons: The noise coming from other apartments was loud at times. No problem for us, but light sleepers might want earplugs. The WC is somewhat dingy. There was a leak of some sort in the bathroom, which made the floor very wet at times. Again, these were small issues in an otherwise delightful stay.
The apartment was great. Great location. Everything my family and I needed.
Felt like home in Paris.
The listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout and facilities. The property was clean and well-maintained. Stephanie was waiting when we arrived, showed us around the apartment, and provided her contact information. I've already recommended this property and FHLP to friends and colleagues. Montmartre is a great area and our access to the Metro and cabs for visits outside the immediate area was great.
We had a lovely stay at this lovely apartment which was cozy and comfortable and couldn't be better located to see all of the sights of Paris. There are lots of cafes and bakeries all within the locality. The number 80 bus stops right outside the apartment which takes you to the Champs Elyses and the Eiffel Tower. We had a great time and would definitely visit again.
We have nothing but positive things to say about out trip. Stephanie was very attentive and helpful during the reservation process and Jim was there to greet us upon arrival.
Our ride to and from the airport (booked through Stephanie) was prompt, professional and courteous and we'd recommend to make the journey smoother. The apartment itself was clean, nicely furnished and well-appointed with everything we needed. there was plenty of space for a family of 5. The building security was sound and we felt safe at all times. The location couldn't be better in between two metro stops and right on the route 80 bus line. Everything we needed was within a 5 minute walk and by the end we felt like locals. We'd strongly recommend for anyone looking for a true Paris experience!
Located in Montmartre, the apartment offers you a unique experience during your stay. It is located just a few blocks north of the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur and Place de Tertre but out of the tourist bustle. Local merchants abound as well as numerous bistros and cafes.
A few short blocks away is the Lamarck-Caulaincourt Metro station (line 12) and several bus lines including the Montmartre bus (in case you don't feel like walking up the steps to Sacre Coeur), which deliver you to your your many destinations in Paris.
With so many conveniences and charm, the Clair de Lune Residence is the perfect place to stay in the City of Light.
