Unit 403, in Southwind on the Ocean condominium, is a large 2 bedroom, 2 bath upscale residential ocean-front home. It is located at a relatively quiet part of Myrtle Beach, but close to other busier attractions like Broadway at the Beach, water parks, Myrtle Beach boardwalk, restaurants, mini-golf, nature parks and gardens, amusement parks, all kinds of shopping opportunities, etc. There is a public, well-equipped, playground and an adult “par course” around the corner of Southwind. Of course, the Myrtle Beach area is a world famous golf mecca.

Walk out the back door of the building and take a few steps to our private walkways that span the beach-side dunes to access our wonderful, wide, white sand beach. One could be distracted along the way to the beach by our indoor and outdoor pools, the lazy river, 3 hot tubs (operating all year) and baby pool.

We have worked hard to make a place where our guests are pleased, comfortable, and, want to return again. Since January, 2014 improvements include, new carpeting, drapes and bedspreads, sofa, dining table and chairs, mattresses, box springs, linens, furnace and AC. We are confident that our guests' expectations will be met.

P.S. For our returning guests, THE DRYER NOW WORKS AS IT SHOULD!!!

Denise and Ray currently reside in Southern Maryland where our 2 children were raised. Ray is a retired teacher (37 years) and Denise stays active as a care giver and antique dealer. Denise has always lived in Southern Maryland and Ray came from Pittsburgh.

Why Ray & Denise Brinjak chose Grand Strand - Myrtle Beach Area

We have been vacationing in Myrtle Beach since the early '70's. Whether we were young adults or were raising our own family, Myrtle Beach was perfect for us. The beach, golf, and many types of activities attracted us. We could quietly relax, or be as active as could be. Ten years ago we had the opportunity to acquire Unit 403 in Southwind, just 2 months after the condo was open for occupants. We are very fortunate to have had this unit, it is perfect for us. We believe our guests, many returners, have also found it perfect for them.

What makes this condo unique

The experience (views, sounds, atmospheric, etc.) from the spacious balcony is constantly changing. (Denise especially enjoys locating nearby passing dolphins.) The easy beach access and being situated in a peaceful part of town are two attractive benefits of staying at our beach home. When these features are combined with the close proximity to many, many activities we think our guests would agree that our remodeled vacation home is tough to beat.

Wonderful view from a nice condo!

The condo is as pictured. Plenty of cookware and dishes. Our granddaughter loved the beach and pools. Thanks for the beach chairs and umbrella. There's one sand bucket also. Water pressure is amazing!!!! It was a wonderful week. Fully accessible for wheelchair. We only had one trash bag so we bought some. I probably should have asked Ray about that, but it wasn't a big thing... I had no trouble working with owners. Would enjoy a return to 403 Southwind. Don't hesitate...book it!!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Perfect relaxing atmosphere with all the amenities of home! Ray was wonderful to deal with...from the initial quote to the final details...seamless planning!

Parking is a dream here...and access to elevators very convenient.

Entrance to the condo is fabulous...KEYLESS...no fear of losing/misplacing keys. The 2 bedroom condo had all we needed for our getaway. Kitchen was well equipped with all necessary appliances, pots, plates and what we appreciated a nice set of wine glasses to enjoy while on the balcony during sunsets. Morning coffees on the balcony were enjoyed while watching the Dolphins swim across the Atlantic.

Pools are well maintained, however we noted that many patrons from other resorts were using it as well...perhaps a bracelet or code entry for pool gate area would be an asset. Another suggestion which would be great is a ramp access to the beach ...a few years back the Southwind had that style bridge but has since removed it. For those with accessibility issues this is would be extremely welcomed...something to suggest to the Condo Owners Association.

Overall a wonderful stay at the Brinjaks...definitely would recommend this condo..and hope to return next year!

Nice, comfortable, convenient!

Our family of 5 stayed at 403 South Wind for a week in July. It is a very nice unit: well kept, nicely decorated, and clean with all the conveniences of home. The views from the living room, kitchen, and master are fabulous. It was great to wake up in the morning and see the ocean right outside the bedroom window. The pools/hot tubs were clean. The building is in a quieter area, however the condo building next door did host several evening parties/events during the week. It is a short, easy drive to any of the area entertainment venues: The Boardwalk (we were not impressed, but you can see their fireworks from the beach at the condo), Broadway at the Beach (our favorite), Barefoot Landing, etc.

Ray was great to work with: very communicative and easy to reach. We ran into a slight issue with the sink disposal and just wanted to alert him about it, but he was ready to send a plumber out for it.

I was worried about being on a crowded area of the beach, but the reviews that said it was a quieter area gave me hope. The beach is a little busier than others we've been to, but definitely not as crowded as I expected for Myrtle Beach. The biggest drawback to the beach is all the crushed shells you have to cross to get to the water (they hurt your feet). We saw pelicans flying by frequently, but only saw dolphins one day after an afternoon storm. There are lifeguards in this area and beach patrol are frequently seen driving through. There is a small public playground/park very nearby.

All in all, a very nice place to spend your vacation!

Spacious Beachfront Condo - Key Less Entry - Owner Great to Work With

The SouthWind property is impressive from the moment you enter the driveway. Parking to the elevator to the unit is extremely convenient. The key less entry is great for unloading baggage, groceries, or just coming up from the beach. The unit was clean and had all of the accommodations that were advertised and more than sufficiently met our needs. Ray was great to work and genuinely interested in making our stay a good one. If our travels ever bring us back to MB this is definitely a place I would like to stay at again.

Great condo, lovely location and amazing view

We visited the condo from the UK. From the start Ray was super helpful, very easy to deal with.

The condo was very comfortable, well equipped and very clean.

The view from the balcony was just wonderful and the location was great. We walked all over, typical Brits!

We left something important at the condo and Ray ensured we got it back, which was excellent customer service.

All in all it was a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend it to anyone.
