Why Gorete Fieira Novack chose Centro
Location, location, location! This is smack-dab in the middle of the historic Barrio de las Letras (Literature Neighborhood) very romantic, safe and with countless places to eat, people-watch, on a pedestrian street (no traffic).
What makes this Apartment unique
The building was completely gutted a few years ago and they saved the facade and the 100 year old staircase, but everything else is brand-new modern construction. We have furnished and equipped the apartment with everything we would like to find in a rental, we use VRBO ourselves when we travel so we understand that small details are paramount. Besides, we have lived in Madrid for the past 14 years, so we are happy to steer you to the best suggestions, whether they are restaurants, site seeing, shopping, trendy restaurants, family places or unique Madrid experiences depending on your date of travel.

Everything was perfect.
In a very happening area and right in the middle of all the major attractions. Despite having such a central location near everything most would want to see, it's on a side street so it's also very quiet. Exceptionally clean and a tremendous value.
Wonderful apartment on Calle de Huertas
We stayed in apartment 3C at Calle de Huertas for 6 nights in mid-September 2019. We loved the apartment! The layout was practical, the bedroom (divided off) was small but had a comfortable king bed, and the bathroom was satisfactory as well—shower was small but functional. We used the kitchen to make our breakfast before beginning the day’s excursions and for chilling the wine each evening. We did use the washing machine too, though it took close to an hour to figure out how it worked even with the instructions. And, the apartment had a wonderful, large drying rack to use afterwards. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the noise on the street during the day (the workers started early with street construction) and in the evening there was the daily festivities of (sometimes loud) folks on the street until the small hours of the morning. The apartment was located in the midst of everything, and it was safe, plus it had a helpful concierge (limited English) and an apartment liaison person to the owner (Gorete) when we needed some help arranging a car hire back to the airport. We would highly recommend this apartment.
Very nice apartment - would definitely return
Comfortable, modern apartment within easy walk to many attractions. Lovely hosts - good information provided about local restaurants, etc. in English and Spanish. Did have some street noise Friday morning until about 2:00 am. Check in / out was very smooth even though caretaker didn’t speak English.
You can easily get to all the museums and sights from here. The little kitchen is well supplied with dishes and cookware if you want to eat in. The weather was great so we ate in the nearby plazas. Only drawback is that with open windows it is noisy.
Very Nice & Great Location
This apartment is immaculate and very comfortable. The location is central and walking distance to most major attractions. Gorette was incredibly helpful and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here.
The place was relaxing and clean. The owner couldn’t make it, but the neighbor helps with check in. She’s also a sweetheart. Maps and ideas on what to do in Madrid are included as well as a little surprise bonus in the fridge (wine bottle and sweets -not sure is everyone gets it). Thank you for a fantastic time!
You will be smack-dab in the center of the historical center downtown Madrid! This is without exagerrating one of the best pedestrian streets to be, because within a few minutes walking you are at the Prado Museum, Reina Sofia Museum, Thyssen Museum, and the city center Puerta del Sol. Also very close to the Royal Palace, Cibeles, Gran Via. We look forward to hosting you and hope to make you feel At Home in Madrid.
