Perfect Holiday Home

The house was perfect for our four person biking holiday with lots of space, own privacy, own garage for the bikes and central yet quiet location. The owner living next doors has a great attitude and he was always ready to help us with any issue we might face.

If French is not your strength, don't worry. None of us speaks French but we could easily communicate with the owner, it's all about attitude.

Coming from a flat Nordic country we fell in love with the Alps. Now I know what road biking is at its' best

I can fully recommend Daniel's accommodation, but don't fully book it, since we are coming back!

Great location for cycling the Maurienne Mountains

During the first week of August 2013 we stayed in this house with a group of 8 people; 2 women and 6 men (two families and Pino). The reason for us going to the Maurienne were the exquisite circumstances for cycling, while the women would take their change to climb mountains by foot. For cyclists this location is perfect, both during the day (steep mountain roads to ride) as during the evenings when one needs to recover from riding or walking through the mountains.

The house is connected to the one of the neighbors but that does not cause any problem. Probably walls are that thick that no sound can pass through it. The house has 4 large sleeping rooms and can occupy 10 to 12 (or more) people. Two nice bathroom are situated on the first and second floor. So it was very spacious for our group. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a balcony and small terrace to enjoy the sun after climbing the mountain tops. To complete the scene a garden is provided on the hill side next to the house. We could use the large garage for storing our bikes and transportation equipment.

I can’t remember there was a negative thing about this location. Only 300 m from the 'city centre' of St. Michel with all necessary shops and a supermarket. Also the owner was pleasant to deal with (French only). We all loved staying there and had a fantastic week.

Super Wohnung für traumhafte Radtouren

Wir waren dort mit Freunden zum Radfahren und waren von der Wohnung und den sehr freundlichen Vermietern mehr als angetan. Die Wohnung bietet alles was man benötigt. Die Küche ist groß und das Wohnzimmer gemütlich, um die Touren revue passieren zu lassen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Verständigung ging mittels Google Übersetzer ganz passabel :)

Perfektes Basislager für Radler

Sauberes und hoch funktionales Ferienhaus für Aktivurlauber. Gute Raumaufteilung und eine Küche mit allen Gerätschaften, die man so braucht, um eine hungrige Mannschaft zu versorgen. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Supermarkt etc. zu Fuß erreichbar. Und den Galibier vor der Tür! Was will man mehr? Kleinste Nachteile wie das wackelige Wlan haben wir gerne verziehen.

The perfect holiday location and house!

We stayed for 5 days in this amazing location with a group of 8 friends. We planned for a couple of days of cycling in this beautiful part of the French Alps.

The house is in 1 word perfect! The house is well maintained, perfectly clean and homy. The 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms offer plenty of room for 8-12 people. The living room is a perfect spot to eat together and hang out. The kitchen is perfectly equiped with a huge refrigerator, a dishwasher (nice for a big group) and a washing machine. The tableware is plenty available. The house also includes a garage where you can store your bikes and have the opportunity to do some maintenance on your gear.

The owners are very symphatic and provide you with a very warm welcome. They are always available for additional tips and information and surprised us with fresh fruits from the garden.

The location is simply perfect. The local village offers services like a supermarket and restaurants and is centrally located in the Marienne Valley. The perfect starting point for amazing cycle tours and/or hiking and the like. People have a tendency to focus on Le Bourg D'Oissans but this area was an eye opener!!! The house is located with a nice view on the Alps surrounding the valley like the Telegraphe.

To sum all things up: this was the perfect holiday home and I would recommend it strongly to others! Next time we plan to go to the Alps we will definitely check for availability again!! Many thanks Daniel for a great stay!

Nice, clean and comfortable house. Very friendly and helpful owners. Just a short drive from Orelle skilift. Great value for money. My sole recommendation would be a little bit better beds, all in all a great stay
