Stayed here for 3 weeks during May-June this year. Just as nice, very clean, and well-maintained as it was the 1st time I stayed here in 2008. Rue de Buci and Rue Gregoire de Tours, both with many modest-priced restaurants, bakeries, French delis, & mini-Carrefour supermarket are just around the corner. Blvd. St Germain just 2 blocks away with nearby Odeon and St. Germain Metro stations and the #63 bus that runs between Ave Henri Martin in the 16th arrondissement and the Gare de Lyon train station. The Seine River is only 5-6 blocks east, with the booksellers and antique dealers along the quasi. So convenient for walking everywhere!
The kitchen is exceptional with spacious stainless steel fridge (new May 2016), a built-in wall OVEN as well as a built-in microwave, 4-burner electric countertop stove, and a washer/DRYER under the counter. (Very few French apartments have in-unit dryers!).
The bathroom is better than typical with a spacious BATHTUB with flexible hose spray that can be anchored to the wall to function like an American shower over tub. The sink has big counter space for your toiletries.
The 1 bedroom has plenty of closet space, built-in drawers and shelves. The queen bed is a newer, high quality type, and very comfortable. There is a flat screen TV with many good cable stations, including 24 hour BBC and French news stations in English.
The elevator is a tiny one located within the spiral staircase and is too small for a wheelchair, but could fit a 3-sided manual folding-type walker.
The gardienne, Mme. Liliane, is exceptionally helpful and kind, as is the owner. Both are readily accessible by email and phone.
I consider this Rue Mazarine apartment my home away from home. The best of the VRBO short stay furnished apartments in Paris I have rented during the past 15 years!
Excellent stay; we loved the location and it was the perfect size for two. If you looking for a spot centrally located and quiet, this is the one. Lilianna was fantastic.
What a great place to stay. My daughter and I were on a 3 week vacation that included 3 nights in Paris. We had never used VRBO before but will for now on. Our apartment was as described. It was clean and fresh smelling. The woman who let us in and got us settled was a wonderful woman. (so sorry I forget your name) Thank you for being there to welcome us. The apartment is in a wonderful neighborhood. You can walk to everything you need. I also agree that it is nice and quiet once the windows are closed. No worries about the toilet not being in the bathroom...its no big deal. I highly recommend also!!!
We originally reserved another apartment for our stay, but the property manager unexpectedly cancelled our reservation one month prior to our arrival which left us scrambling at the last minute to find another place to stay. When finding another place, I felt it was important to speak to the owner of the property by phone to confirm our arrangements, not just handle it by email or deal solely with the property manager.
When I first inquired about this property, I asked for a call and the owner contacted me immediately, and I was able to reach her by email or phone whenever necessary. This was a huge reassurance throughout the process.
The apartment was clean and comfortable, everything as stated in the listing. The bed was very comfortable, and the room off the living room with the toilet was just fine. For anyone in the US, it might be a little odd, but I would even consider it an inconvenience when you consider everything else was perfect.
Perhaps the greatest thing of all was the location. This apartment is in the most perfect part of Paris with the Seine, Louvre, Notre Dame, Metro stations and Boulevard St. Germain within easy walking distance. The cafes and outside markets that line Rue de Buci and this entire area are wonderful. Despite the lovely cafes and "night life," the apartment was far enough away where it was quiet and peaceful and you can get a great nights sleep before exploring the city. Our nightly walks on the banks of the Seine are memories we will cherish forever.

Stayed for two weeks Sep 2013. Just like the title says, it was all excellent. Yes, the toilet is in a small room separate from the bedroom (like the other reviewer stated), but that cannot be helped and is outweighed by all the other great features. Additionally, the neighborhood is fabulous...coming to life in the afternoon and well into the evening. Yet, with the windows closed, the sound was blocked. We loved the high quality street musicians, local restaurants, bakeries and supermarket. The bed was very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Highly recommend.
We've just returned from a wonderful stay at this authentic Paris apartment. The location is perfect for exploring all over Paris, both within St. Germain des Pres as well as beyond, within a 10 minute walk of Notre Dame, the Louvre, etc. The apartment is well furnished, clean and pretty as well. The only area to be aware of is that the toilet is in a very small space off of the living room, separate from the shower/sink which is off of the bedroom. Other than that, the space is great and the hosts were very helpful!
