After living in England, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and the USA I decided to live a simpler life by moving to the amazing Osa peninsula which is one of the most pristine and beautiful places on earth. Coming here can be a life changing experience.

The good, the bad and the BEAUTIFUL-
The home is clean and comfortable! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for our simple meals. The bedroom fans made the nights quite comfortable. The out door bathroom was my favorite- unique and exciting! I loved the bathroom garden and the hot shower in the rain was one of my favorite things! We had great weather and only missed the A/C because our clothes wouldn't dry!
The worst part of Osa are the roads. They are extremely bumpy, uncomfortable and slow! Make sure you stock up on food and supplies so you don't have to drive into town. But it was still worth the drive down to Cabo Matapalo to the beaches and I fell in love with the corcodova trails along the beach! The other thing that I wasn't prepared for was the wildlife spending the week with us! Besides the mosquitos, we hung out with crabs in the bathroom, bats in the morning and lizards at night, and ants claimed every loaf of bread we brought!
The monkeys were howling at 5:00 am, and the birds joined in shortly... amazing alarms that get you excited for what the day might hold! We watched monkeys all morning and then went out to the beach with the hermit crabs and coconuts! Hammocks were relaxing as the sound of the ocean came in and out! The gardens were beautiful around the home and the rainforest was captivating everywhere we looked with trees and beach all to ourselves!! We loved every second of our stay!! Thanks Sandy!!
It is hard to believe no one has left a review for this place yet...perhaps everyone who has been wants to keep it as their secret! The cabin and it's location are excellent. We saw such a lot of wildlife from the house itself and it was a real pleasure to feel so close to it all in the rustic (no electricity) house. The cabin is just as described - and even the photos of the wildlife are accurate as we saw scarlet macaws, monkeys, iguanas and a coati in the house grounds. Wild enough to feel in the midst of the jungle, but close enough to the road to easily get en route to Corcovado National Park. We stayed here 5 nights and loved it. The beach out front is rugged, but almost entirely yours and you fall asleep at night to the sounds of the jungle and the waves. Had a fantastic time here.
perfect place to experience the wildlife and nature of Costa Rica for yourself. A beach for yourself, a region with less tourists and nice and friendly people everywhere. One of the highlights of our Costa Rica tour. The House is well maintained and the hospitality of the host (sandy) is very good.
Tours to Corcovado national park, kayaking, zip lines, chocolate farm tour, birdwathing, surfing, eco tours, and much more.
