A large, private, three bedroom, two bath, house with magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean. Each bedroom is luxuriously appointed. The living room and dining area have a truly incredible six window view of the Pacific with white water waves crashing over exposed rocks. The house has a fireplace and two wood stoves, a well equipped kitchen and a large deck for enjoying the sunset. In addition to the three bedrooms is a cozy loft and quiet areas to read and relax.
You'll be a five minute walk to lovely Agate Beach, part of the Duxbury Reef Preserve. There you will find access to the Pacific Ocean, a quiet beach area and tide pools perfect for nature explorers of all ages. Nearby is also Bolinas Beach, a great place to play in the sand or take a surfing lesson from the Bolinas Surf School. A short drive by car is Stinson Beach and Point Reyes.
Close at hand are some incredible walks along the coast, including some trails into the southern end of Point Reyes National Seashore. During your stay you can also explore historic Bolinas. Founded in the 1850's, Bolinas has long served as a weekend getaway for San Franciscans, though in earlier times they would arrive by boat. Bolinas remains a great retreat and maintains a local culture shaped by the 1960's counter-culture movement.

"Heather, we had a wonderful time. The house was comfortable & well
stocked. We bought crabs off the boats, oysters at Tomales Bay & went
clamming. Our meal on Saturday night included fresh cracked crab, steamed
clams, prime rib, & barbecued oysters. The children were thrilled & thanks for
providing the high chair. Could hardly keep Anaya, grandchild, out of it. We
were delighted with the food, amazing views & sleeping arrangements. I have
recommended the house to friends & hope to find time to stay there again in
the future. Thanks for the experience & the quality time my family had
together. We also had a ping pong competition. Unfortunately I lost."

My family has stayed in this beautiful place for the past twelve years. It is surrounded on three sides by decking, with a large and comfortable area for outdoor dining. We love the woodstove in the upper level, living and dining rooms with huge windows and ocean views. The main level has a kitchen and long counter, a comfy sitting area with a fireplace, two bedrooms, full bath (tub/shower) and a loft, loved by the grandson since he could climb the ladder. The lower area is an independent suite, which we rent, with its own wood stove and full bath. The kitchen is well-furnished, sunny with skylights, and opens onto the deck. Ping pong in the basement.
This house is in the quietest end of Bolinas, except for the lovely rhythm of the ocean breaking below. Agate Beach, a short five-minute walk, is the most amazing spectacle at low tide. You can follow the beach either into town, Brighton Beach, or north toward RCA Beach. Both are good hikes, two to three miles.
After twelve years, we still have not hiked all the trails in Point Reyes National Park!
Bolinas House is not a chi-chi Architecture Digest place. The furniture is upholstered, tasteful and functional; nice carpeting and flooring, good beds. It is inviting and comfortable, marvelous, even, because of its beauty of setting.
Heather is a terrific owner, and very responsive to any suggestion we make.
This family loves the house and are grateful to have it available.
The views are lovely and the neighborhood is peaceful.
The house is mostly very run down, with shabby furniture, poor lighting, a pervasive stale and musty smell, bathrooms that badly need remodeling, absolutely disgusting shower curtains, dirty windows and bed linen that has seen better days. Considering the steep rental price, it seemed like highway robbery.
The view from the place is amazing and the house has just the right vibe for a Bolinas beach pad. Beds were firm and comfortable.
A perfect getaway location. Stunning views in a location that allows lovely walks to the town and on the coast. This house is incredibly well equipped and comfortable. It is even suitable for toddlers. Heather was available when I had a questions. Everything about this stay was easy and fun. It really is a perfect place to relax!
The house was so welcoming in the stormy weather. A beacon on a high hill. The view is stunning. We were just as happy to sit in the house and admire the view as we were eager to walk the bluffs and beaches.
The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. The management was available by phone for questions and made our stay easy in every way. A real gem on the coast.
