About Jeff and Kelly Fear
Both of us have shared a love for the outdoors and an affinity for the Northwest. We have experienced some unique locations in our travels but nothing of this kind. We have a passion for camping, rafting, backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking and mountain biking. We are a hard working, honest and respectful family. We spent the summer of 2013 completely renovating our cabin and are not afraid to invest sweat equity. We are personable, enjoy serving people and want to share this exclusive part of Montana with like-minded guests.
Jeff and Kelly Fear purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Jeff and Kelly Fear chose Polebridge
Our family was looking for that distinctive Montana vacation property for ourselves, friends, family and our guests. We wanted a place remote, serene and accessible to a part of Montana that embodies the rugged outdoor adventure. We chose this cabin in Polebridge, MT because it accentuates all of those attributes including panoramic views of the Whitefish Mountain Range and Livingston Mountain Range of Glacier National Park (GNP). Situated on the west side of GNP, you have access to trails, lakes, rivers, forests, meadows, mountains and the park. We always wanted to own an 'off the grid' property and have the ability to escape for a weekend not spending half of it in the car. Polebridge is a one of a kind, out of the way location which has an almost timeless feel. We call it 'Little Alaska'. If you are seeking a connection with your adventurous outdoor spirit and wish to make unforgettable memories in a natural environment we want to help you achieve that desire.
What makes this Cabin unique
The log cabin has a rustic feel inside and out. Assembled from logs directly in the Polebridge area it was constructed in 1981. We completely renovated the exterior by sanding, refinishing and chinking the logs in the summer of 2013. A charming full covered front porch and partial covered rear porch accent this ranch style cabin, perfect for lounging out of the sun. Placed in a meadow, full circle views of beautiful mountain ranges and an uninhibited night sky sets this cabin apart. This is a spacious cabin at 1200 sq. ft. with a large living room. Tongue and groove pine wall and ceiling accents and many updates including new stove, faucets, beds, mattresses and kitchen floor are a few of the amenities offered. However, the best amenity for any 'off the grid' property is a full functioning bathroom. A running sink, flushing toilet and a hot shower after your day outside is real commodity! Just a short walk to the iconic and historical Polebridge Mercantile and the Northern Lights Saloon. Approx. 1 mile to the Polebridge North Fork River launch access and the Bowman, Kintla Lake Ranger Station. 30 minutes to the west entrance of GNP and Apgar Village. Many different outdoor activities make this property any outdoor enthusiast will appreciate.

Off grid, tranquil cabin experience.
Wonderful off grid location in Polebridge, Mt. Clean, fully functional cabin near the NorthWest entrance to Glacier National Park. Close enough to everything to do at Glacier NP; remote enough to enjoy a tranquil, picturesque mountain experience.
Come to Polebridge if you want an off-the-grid experience when you visit Glacier National Park! The reviews from previous guests are accurate. The cabin is stocked with everything you need. Just remember to plan ahead for supplies before you head out. On this side of the park, the weather can be variable so you'll also need to be flexible with your plans and check the latest forecasts at the Mercantile (which has internet access). Enjoy your stay - Kelly and Jeff will take care of you!
Wonderful as always
This is our third time staying here and it gets better every time. Polebridge is the most peaceful place I have ever visited and this home has a lot to do with it. It provides everything you need to have an enjoyable stay but is still minimalist in a way that is essential to enjoying this great place. It’s perfect. Whether sitting on the front porch or the back porch or taking an evening walk down the dirt roads to the merc. To be honest, I write this only because I like the owners so much. Truthfully I’d like to keep this place our little secret
We love our return Customers!
Great place to stay on west side of Glacier
I was a little concerned about the remoteness of this house. Although it does require some driving to get in and out of the park, it was not a problem at all. The house and property are quite large and very well kept up. The Polebridge Mercantile has almost any supplies you might need and is only about 500 yards away. Highly recommended!
Little piece of heaven
We discovered Polebridge and Bowman Lake our first trip to GNP and have been returning ever since. This was our first time actually staying in Polebridge and the experience did not disappoint. Glacier Peek Getaway is an extremely well-appointed, charming and very comfortable cabin. After a long day in the park, it was lovely to come back to this clean and cozy cabin, light a fire in the fire pit and look at the millions of stars visible in the dark sky. We even saw several shooting stars one night! The beds were comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water for our showers. We did not miss our phones and connection to the internet at all. We loved walking to the Mercantile in the morning for pastries and to the Saloon in the evening for dinner.
Although Polebridge is a bit of a drive to the Going to the Sun road and the east side of the park, the scenery is beautiful and we had nothing but time to take it all in. A little warning, the road to Polebridge is not paved most of the way. I personally hope it never is or else too many people will flock to this little piece of heaven.
Thank you Kelly and Jeff for sharing your beautiful cabin. We will be back!
This was our 2nd time staying here. We love this little cabin. It's a little piece of heaven. Love the area too. It's so quiet & peaceful. Cant wait to go back.
The cabin location is ideal for those who want to be close to Glacier National Park, the Polebridge entrance to GNP, Kintla Lake, Bowman Lake and The North Fork Flathead River. The bonus is being within walking distance to The Polebridge Mercantile and the Northern Lights Saloon. Spectacular views of Montana Mountains!
